This is an ole school trick! Never saw it done but I knew bikers were gutting out the muffler innards! Killer sounds on big bikes too! Kawasaki 900-1000’s etc like on Mad Max original movie! Bikers used to ride through our town back home with pipes open like this! Sounds like a monsters roar! 🦁 ✌️🙌🏽👌👍🏽
Sounds better than stock, thats for sure. You might have to adjust your air/fuel mixture at some point, but no rejetting is really required in this situation. Good work, I hope this brings the results that you were looking for. Good bless.
I want to do this to my 04 Honda Shadow Aero. Should I punch out the caps AND drill or just drill the 1/2 inch holes? I'm seeing differing opinions on this.. I want more sound (for safety) but also don't want to kill my engine.
I have a question! The same method applies on every bike? In my case, I have a Yamaha virago 99‘ 125 cc. I like how it sounds with it’s original exhaust but wouldn’t mind if I could get a deeper sound out of it :) Hit me up if you have some tips! Thanks 👊🏻🤘🏻
huge difference i wish my 1100 ACE wasnt as loud as it is, i bought that way without baffles it rumbles beautiful but it gets annoying after 20 minutes of riding ears start to hurt.
Right. I took the baffles my cobra out of the exhaust on my my Honda vlx600. Sounds good going thru the gears but sustained speeds over 40 ARE VERY ANNOYING.
It will cause it to run lean but it won’t hurt your engine, you can block some of the air intake if it’s back/after firing that will richen your fuel to air ratio since you are getting less air, or ofc you get either jet carbs/ tune efi
You're right it is about attention.. about making sure other road users know you're coming. Loud pipes save lives. It's also part and parcel of having a cruiser type motorcycle. Nobody is going to want it to sound like a scooter.. wouldn't have a sandwich without the bread would you.
@@randyodonald9172 a sharp pip of the horn isn't as good as loud pipes to make people aware you are coming. Why do you think ambulances and police cars have sirens? It's all about noise to attract your attention. Less likely a car pulls out on you if you come thundering down the road.
I got a shadow with cobra pipes fucker sounds mean certainly isnt a fucking moped. Must be a harley riding douche. Only harley riders say shit like that. It's not about the brand its about the life, the commoradery , the brotherhood.
@@2wheelsOrDieNC hey dummy. It most likely someone who doesn't even ride. Most guys that ride harleys are just happy to have riding buddies, they could give a shit what brand of bike they ride.
My man, you just saved me $1000 on a custom exhaust system

I am Thinking of doing this to my Honda 2005 1300 VTX That sounds awesome.

But are baffles essential? Or do they just compress the output of sound?

i love how you say no parts needed then pull out this drill bit
lol
A tool is not a motorcycle part
What did you expect? Just wish for it and magically the bike becomes louder? 😂
The Honda PGM FI system can enrichen itself to compensate a baffle delete. You won't run lean.
@J gor if this is a 2009 like I think he said, it is the last year of carbonated Honda Shadows. So their is no PGM FI system on this bike.
How did you get to put ads on your videos bro?
I have a 01 Shadow Sabre 1100. Will this work the same way on my bike?
I have honda shadow 600 vlx deluxe would i have to rejet carb or anything?
no
Sounded fine originally
I have a 2008 HD Soortster. With the high compression rate do you think that would be safe for me to do?
It’s after engine, I think it’s just for sound, so should be safe
You should be alright, just adjust the fuel to air ratio if it’s running too lean
I have a Harley 883 good I do this to it
Does the bike mess it up if it is fuel injected ?
Yes it likely will

yes every bike has a baffle you can delete. just might be different size hole saw to make it work.

How did you get ad in 17 sub?
What size is that bike
750cc
Sounds like my Honda rebel 450.
Driver seat and "sissy bar" where do you get it?
Does removing and riding without a baffle harm your bike by any chance?

Your testicles might shrink due the new harmonics combined with honda logo
@@hanestshirtsarecool oh no😧
What’s size hole saw is that?
If i do this do i have to rejet or anything?
You cant rejet a fuel injector.
I didn't have to
Carbed you will have to reset or you'll lose performance
I would definitely swap out the air in your tire. This is crucial for optimal sound.
why do it on a limited motorcycle :')
Noiceeee
It sounds like a Honda with a blown exhaust.
In high school I used loud exhaust noise to get attention.
Then I graduated.
I dropped out 😂

@@jamst123 If your concern is about those ahead of you, use your horn. They cannot hear your exhaust.

It still sounds the same 😂
In person it makes it louder and deeper

Shadow 600 sounds 10x better
The95andrey...... like for shadow 750s
Dont believe everything you see

Intentionally tuning a vehicle for making more noise in a public space should be fined, and the driver's license should be revoked.
That noise could save our life from a moron distracted driver. It’s not always as simple as just wanting to be a nuisance, idiot.
One of the reasons for a louder exhaust is so that stupid drivers who don’t see us can hear us while they are on their phones while driving.
😂
@evgeniy19 😂why so serious
