    I really like the reviews of the small glove manufacturers and Japanese gloves. Keep up the good work.

    It's nice to have a video about Japanese gloves in English lol. I had a 44 Japan Select same web and size as the red (obviously different leather), but I felt like the ball would always pop out as you mentioned, specifically on the backhand. I think the thin design leather and flat palm doesn't absorb the ball well, but who knows

    As a Jr Rookie coach (in Canada) I see a lot of different types of gloves coming to the diamond and although I think these gloves you showcase are great I tell parents to get something less expensive. I found even for myself I use Player Preferred or Sandlot series Rawlings. I do recommend your videos to the kids I coach, especially for the skills and fun you have. Maybe in the future you could talk about some of the less expensive options or gloves you had as a young player.

    I got an IP Select and a Rag De Lion! Both Japanese gloves both 11 1/2. The IP is a single post. And the lion is modified trap. And I’m telling you the leather on these gloves is head shoulders above of the A2 preferred for sure. I would say it leans a little bit to being more like the prop preferred. But that Japanese kept leather, they don’t have any wrinkles in them. It’s hard to explain. It’s almost like a tight rubber leather. And like he said the hinge points breaking right away. I broke my glove in about a half an hour. But the palm and the leather I’ve been working on for about three months now and it’s still pretty tight.I believe the glove will last a lot longer. But there’s something about Japanese gloves, especially when you flare them out and give them a nice pocket. I’m surprised that professionals and baseball don’t wear them more often.

    do you noticed the reverse heel lacing for the two gloves? japanese infield gloves almost all have this feature.
    it move the glove opening a little on the thumb side .

    Ive seen that glove, an opponent had it, they look really good and assuming it feels nice. I dont really like the lighter gloves, they let me control them more. I get how its very easy to break in like a r2g form rawlings or a dp15 from wilson, but it does make it more lighter.

    Hey man I love your content, I have a question though, when there is a hard hit a line drive at me it always goes into my glove and pops out, and I don’t know why it happens? Do you have any ideas?

    • @asteff.12
      @asteff.12 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not who you asked the question to but one thing even though simple is to really emphasize breaking in a pocket, like you can look at I believe Nolan Arenado’s glove which is specialized to just stop the ball and the pocket isn’t as stressed. Also while playing catch focus on finding pocket and working on doing so every time you receive the ball.
