    Yes, I have an Oreck orbiter onboard my truck. I use for small areas or isolated issues...I'd recommend a 17" floor buffer with black pad for ceramic and porcelain tile and grout. White pad for natural stone. Great way to emulsify the top of the surface on all flooring. Most jobs can benefit from this beginning process.

      What title and grout cleaner do you use ? Will heavy duty degreaser do the job ?

    Might want to consider making a splash guard for your oreck. Can do so by cutting a 5 gallon bucket to size to make a ring. If you ever get into a home that has MDF baseboard in an area you are cleaning and over wet them like in this video...they will swell up badly and you will be replacing them.

    • @MichaelMarcusLVTANDG
      @MichaelMarcusLVTANDG 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Splashing from the smaller Orecks are minimal because most of the scrubbing should be done on the middle of the floor (where people travel), however, moisture alone where MDF baseboards are can expand and bubble just as easy...All homes or place of businesses are different...

      I have been using orecks and floor buffers for over 20 years...Never owned a splash guard...Never ruined anyone's house, and if I did, I wipe up.

    Bro how is that gekko wand holding? I bought 2 of the older styles and they both broke right at the handle where it is welded. I am looking to buy another wand but want to make sure it will last longer since spending all this money. I don't want to use a spinner for couple of reasons, 1 - the spinner won't get the corners, 2 - I don't use more than 400 psi for tile grout cleaning at condos, the pressure might not be enough to spin the jets.

    Man, you're doing such a great job showcasing your business. I would like to see references to your equipment used in the videos. You might consider partnering with a wholesaler or even the equipment manufacturer to promote these machines and chemicals. I'm completely impressed with your cleaning and restoring results and so are a bunch of other people.
    You are an unincorporated salesman for the products you use, so you might as well get paid for showcasing them. One last thing is that you don't show how you detail tight spots and corners where your machines cannot fit. That would be helpful for people, like me, who have never done hardwood or stone floors. In the end, I'm totally impressed with what you do and your success.

      For the surface, yes, but for the grout lines I'm not so sure. I've scrubbed a lot of tile with 15" and 20" 175s, and you have to really heel them to get into the grout lines. Although, if you do that, there's not much that can beat it, but it's a gruelling workout after a while.

  • @LeoCampos2
    @LeoCampos2 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Does it really get into the grout liners? I use floor scrubbers with brushes and need to clean liners with a hand brush, which is hard and takes forever to do....

    Nice job, I was doing a job just like this with my spinner and my spinner would actually get stuck to the floor because the wax would build up on the brush. Jobs like these usually cost twice as much than regular T&G jobs because you have to remove that gunk.

    Cortney, You'll find the Gekko to just be a good water broom to suck us scrubbed mess. The spinner at good PSI and high heat will blow the socks off of any multi jetted tool. I never prescrub using any other tools. It just doesn't make sense when you can let pressure do ALL the work. What spinner do you have? by the way if you have a coating of wax on any tile I use a wax stripper and it's history again without all the agitation. Spinning or agitating just sends it onto the cabinets, baseboards and surrounding carpets.

    Hey bro
    Nice cleaning videos. I have a question. What's with all the people boasting about their IICRC certifications. I never needed it in the last 17 months in business. Today a lady would not let me work because I'm not IICRC certified. Lucky I just finished cleaning her neighbors house.

      I got my IICRC certification 14 years ago and haven't renewed it since. I've never been turned down because of not having my IICRC certificate but just because you have it doesn't mean you can cleaning. Any certificate just means you understand the fundamentals of the business but still can not provide a proper hands on experience which I see a lot in the cleaning industry. Don't feel bad about the lady not giving you the job because of the IICRC certification, maybe the job wasn't meant for you but if you decide to get your IICRC certificate it wouldn't hurt.

      I used to do HWE as my main business. I just got certified doing dry foam cleaning and now I rarely use HWE on commercial carpets. I had an older sapphire TM with rotary spinner. Best machine I ever used. Our city just put water restrictions. That's why I went dry foam.
