    Another important tip as a cleaner is, all the times you cleans floor with cleaner it can leave a film and over time the film builds up. I like to clean my floors with vinegar and water every now and then to reduce the film left behind by so many cleans. This video is so soothing ! Amazing machine and job!

      Thank you and thanks for your comment and tip. Another tip, if people reading this have a natural stone, you would want to avoid using the vinegar being it's pretty acidic and could etch natural soft stones. So those especially with soft stones should only use a nuetral cleaner and water. Thanks again for sharing this 😊

    Nice! For tjose of us who aren't in the biz, can you explain (in the videos) what your machines and chemicals do, and why one might work better for a certain situation than another? Like, is this under steam pressure? What's the advantage of it over the round head turbo whatever?

    • @MarkSaiger
      @MarkSaiger  ปีที่แล้ว

      The first Chemical is our Saiger's Tsunami which is a high pH hard surface cleaner. Alkaline cleaners are pretty common cleaners being above nuetral 7 pH on the cleaning scale. The Tsunami helps to float and loosen the grease and grime off the surface and in the grout. The second cleaner was our Vengeance acid tile and grout restorer. What it does as it fizzes, is takes a small microscopic amount of grout off the surface to expose new fresh grout to take away staining. The other cleaning unit you have seen in other videos would be a turbo spinner hooked up to our Truckmount Steam Clean (Hot Water Extraction) or a very powerful portable. A turbo spinner needs at least 700 or more psi to spin it so it can clean. You can run higher psi but as you start to run above 1000 psi you can damage the grout while cleaning. By damage I mean you can blow weaker grout (even good grout actually) right out of the lines so you need to be careful. This Devastator hard surface wand is much gentler on the tile and grout but still has good cleaning power with the unique way the underside jets and vacuum slot are designed over other hard surface wands on the market. For us, we like using it in bathrooms a lot as it's easy to maneuver and get around things with it's ridgid swivel set up. Chemical and took choice is a personal thing a lot of times. We designed our chemistry to work well in a lot of situations as we use it daily, so we did and still do a lot of field testing. Time is money to us so we want chemistry to work. The tools we choose are the same to us. We are lucky to be able to pretty much buy what we want for equipment as again it makes our jobs easier so you will see, we have lot of tools, AND we prototype and help develop tools with friends. We are very thankful we have what we have. Please let me know if there are more questions or more details I can help answer. I know there might be something I'm missing and would really like to help explain more. Thanks for your wonderful question by the way 😊👍

      @@MarkSaiger Wow, thx! Are your chemicals, zipper, etc available in other places in the US? I live in Phoenix. Would a carpet company here have a zipper? How would I know if I need a zipper vs a steam unit? I've seen you use both, but how do you know which you need? Do you have informational videos on your website?

    • @MarkSaiger
      @MarkSaiger  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@annw1395 our cleaning chemistry is available to all cleaners. There are possibly some cleaners using Saiger's Sauce Products in your area. A Zipper Wand by the way is more designed for commercial use. It's a bit more cumbersome in residential, but there are better Wands over a traditional 2 jet wand a lot of cleaners use. The Devastator wand like we use actually set a standard that other wand makers try to copy now. Tile and Grout cleaners in Chems and equipment can vary as well. If you let me know where you are located I might know some cleaners in your area. You can leave a message with my office and they will forward to me and I can even call you back. I will do my best to see if I have some people I might know that will be of help, 😊

    WOW! That Devastator wand is amazing. And the Vengeance. I'll be ordering some now! Can you tell me what PSI is required to run that wand? What PSI are you using in the vid? Also, can u run that off a low 200-220 portable heated extractor and still get good results?

      @MarkSaiger  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We were running 500 psi at the beginning of the video then when we moved to the women's bathroom I bumped it up to about 750 psi.
      I'm not sure how it would work at 200 psi but it should work. There are no check valves, just jets. With power psi I would scrub and agitate so rinsing would be more successful. It's a great wand though 😊

    Vengeance seems like a peroxide based cleaner. Have you thought about applying it with a pump sprayer?

    • @MarkSaiger
      @MarkSaiger  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's actually an acid. The foaming look is the acid interaction with the grout. Acid grout restorers remove a microscopic amount of grout to expose new fresh grout. With an acid you can spray it in maybe a place such as this bathroom but it's really better and safer to pour and mop around to prevent damage to acid sensitive surfaces. Thank you for your comment though. Will help others as well I hope 😊. And we do spray peroxide solutions quite often to address that too. Great comment here today. Thank you

    I’m always wondering why they don’t make the grout more even with the tile. When there’s less of a ‘dip’ tere’s less room for dirt to get stuck.

    • @MarkSaiger
      @MarkSaiger  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's all really because of the concrete it's set on and then how fast they skim coat the grout in with a trowel. But then it comes down to how they use a wet sponge and water to clean up the grout overage. Time is money to the installer so they are not very good sometimes cleaning and leveling. It is a bit difficult to be honest. We have seen some terrible grout haze on new installs which takes an acid or special grout Remover for some of the newer types of grout to get that haze removed. A good installer is hard to find truly

      You would need that wand we are using on the floor hooked up to a cleaning and extraction machine unfortunately. Sometimes people will take our cleaning products and mop on the Tsunami, then scrub with a deck brush and grout brush you can even get at Home Depot or Lowes or similar then use a wet shop vac and follow up with clear water rinsing using the shop vac again and a microfiber flat mop. It's a bunch more work but it can be done
