      I know the feeling and I hear you truly. You have to take care of yourself right now. Treat yourself to therapy, and meditate. It helps me. I feel the same all the time. Hang in there

    I’m having all these feelings. My girlfriend of one year has gotten a couple messages from an a guy she dated before. He asked her out to dinner, and she told him that she was seeing me. She told me I’ve nothing to worry about yet I feel turned off by this.

      @@abcfy8559 I'm not too sure. First i gave myself time to heal. It will be hard after a fresh break up, but you have to get through that. When you feel ready to do something, you can start to ask yourself what your next big plans are. Like: What are your future ambitions? Are you happy with your current career? Who am i and what do i like? I focused on myself and what bad habits i might have to change. It's like a journey to get to know yourself better. On the way i found stuff that i really like. This can be anything from cooking to, knitting or going to the gym. In my case it was working out, feeling more healthy and more content with myself because of that. And when you feel happy with yourself, then you are ready for a new relationship, because you know that you can create your own happiness and aren't dependent on anyone. 😊 I dont know if this helps you but for me it does. Btw. Im still on the journey and working on myself day by day, and taking whatever time i need for it. After all this is a long goal to reach and that's totally ok.

    How to not push people away? I am an anxious attachment and I really want to be more secure in my approach in relationships...

    • @Synchrothron
      @Synchrothron ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Therapy. I have ADHD and anxious attachment style. Whenever someone reciprocated romantic interests towards me, my brain was on napalm and my fear of abandonment skyrocketed and every single time I've ended up chasing them away. Just after 8 months of therapy I understand myself so much better and my life quality has improved enormously. Before I was a loner and avoided the opposite gender because I was so afraid of getting hurt. Now I can't wait to go on dates again. 😊

      @Snowleopard_CH My ex make me more anxious, but I can't move on from the breakup because I believe we can work it out with him, but he seems that he was deeply heart after what happened. And now I can't forgive myself about what I did. Even if I have expressed it to him, he doesn't seem to understand my logic, he is so focus on his viewpoint, which I understand. But we can't work throught this situation and move on if we focus on the mistake and not the action after the mistake.

    This described a non abusive version of my ex... except that everything I did to create connection and true intimacy was always shut down or blocked by such a huge level of inauthenticity.
    Turned out he was a diagnosed covert narcissist 🤷‍♀️

    Okay question... can an anxious attachment style affect more than just romantic relationships? I purchased dr. Amir Lavine's and Rachel Heller's book "Attached" which takes about it in such a manner, but after doing a lot of self reflection, I'm wondering if this is something that could be more invasive in my life?

    I feel stressed because he’s never around. He doesn’t seem like he wants to go anywhere but to his home. He never says he wants to spend time with me. That’s not a relationship and I have no problem voicing my needs but I have a problem with him if he doesn’t try because I am always trying. This makes me want to give up on our relationship. When I’m pouring my heart out, he becomes a sarcastic jackass.

    I ask Tyler (a guy I’m talking to who I have feelings for) a lot if I’m controlling and he always says no which is a really big relief at the moment because I know I can be controlling from time to time and I try not to be so any time it feels like I’m being a bit controlling I always ask if I am
