Some of the colors of the pumpkins add so much interest to the porch and the stairs. Makes me wish I had a porch to decorate for Fall...
When my mother was alive, she'd always help me plant my small flower garden. Using her cane, she'd point out which flower to tell my daughter to hand me. I'd then take the flower from my daughter. My then, 3-year-old daughter asked grandma which flower was it she'd picked. My mother answered: "Every proper garden has pansies."
The colors of the pumpkins compliment the colorful pansies perfectly! Love it Laura! And cannot wait till spring to see all those bulbs in bloom!

I like it better than the previous year's beds. I think it is nicer when the cabbages aren't quite so close as to touch each other. Much prettier.
The pumpkins are outstanding! The colors make me want to paint your entrance display. The photos at the end were just beautiful - loved the one with the sunlight glowing on the left side - oh my, I can almost smell the candy corn.
I have to paint my black pots every tear as well. It's amazing how dingy and faded they get.
The painting and little finishing details like that, never seem to take as long as we think they do, and like you said, it looks so good when it's done. Looks great Laura! You done good!! Your friend in AL.

Your Pansies with all the different color and then you add all the different colors of your pumpkins and its a great combo!! I am thinking that was not planned....but that is what I see....There is so much color but yet it is not overwhelming...its inviting!! Its warm, festive and fall looking and not at all over the top. You did good. Your Mom...she is sweet!
I also know where you got all those pumpkins!!! Its craziness...its quiet a sight to see in person...who would of thought a person could get so excited over them, but I did! I will be there this weekend getting my truckload!!

Laura you did a fabulous job on everything. I love the houseplants at your moms shop I would go crazy and go broke buying one of each lol. The porch ended up very good the evening shots of it looked so inviting. As for the shrub in front of your a/c I would remove it too maybe duplicate what you did on the other side if the Hydrangeas would fit just a suggestion. I love seeing Aaron he is such a sweetheart and soft spoken just love you all. Thanks again for sharing your day it never gets old the longer the more videos the better for us to learn from you. amazing what lighting does to the appearance of a garden display. I prefer the way my garden looks early in the morning and mid evening. I planted in Hope's of a shade garden eventually. At least mostly shade. I can't wait to plant inpatients instead of petunias. I love the beauty of inpatients. Thanks for sharing. It's gardeners like you that let me know that I'm not alone in my love and appreciation for flowers.
Hi Laura and Aaron! I normally do not care for ornamental cabbage but the bronzy grass in the center modernizes the design. Looks good. I cannot imagine how much $$$ you guys spend on your projects....but am very glad you do!

Love the all white but in this case, the pumpkin mix of colors looks better in my opinion. You're going to be so happy when all those bulbs bloom! Inspires me to do something about it now.

Your series of pictures of the completed project at the end of the video were stunning. The different colored pumpkins really complemented the color combinations of the pansies and everything was highlighted by the sunlight.

Have you thought about getting a whole home filtration system/water softener? We have one and it filters out all the junk including the water lines out to our garden. That would help your hard water problems!

Fall is my favorite. I think mother nature’s colors that time of year are incredibly relaxing and refreshing. Love your video. Beautiful display. 💕
You need a water softener! Can you imagine the havoc hard water is on all your appliances and plumbing. Plus soft water is great on your hair and skin.
A water softener is installed in the home for household plumbing. The outside plumbing is from a well. She may have a softener for the home already. I've never heard of someone using a water softener for their landscape.
Hi Karyn. The water one has on their property only comes from one source. You are either on city water or well water, in which case can be hard. When you have a water softener it softens all the water on your property unless you bypass an area. After seeing the white coating of hard water stains "calcium, magnesium, and so on" on her black outdoor pots I don't think I would be bypassing my outdoor spigot's.
New to your channel, really enjoying it. Today I had to move things around because they weren’t working. Fingers crossed they make it in their new spot. Things change all the time because of shade trees and then you lose a branch or two. Keeps it fun and interesting!

Instead of painting over the hard water deposits, try spraying the pot with vinegar, it will disolve the mineral build up and should come clean with a light brushing. It only takes a few minutes for the vinegar to break down the hard water deposits.
-On average, how much do you spend monthly on these projects?
-If you have squirrels on your area, how do you protect your pumpkins etc from being eaten?
I'm sure it's quite expensive but keep it in mind this is her family business.... and TH-cam business. I decorate every year with pumpkins and I've never had an issue with squirrels even living in a wooded area, they're never a problem.

Could you please do a video on spider mites? What they look like and how you treat them? Maybe you already have.?

Deb Nelson, if your plants (this goes for house plants too) start looking sick -foliage not as green as it should be and you suspect that you are dealing with spider mites (they're really tiny) tap a branch of the affected plant over a sheet of white paper and rub your palm across it... if you see little red streaks on the paper, you have spider mites. Then go to a garden center and ask for recommendations for dealing with the problem. They will have several products which will get rid of the mites and they will also tell you how to use the products.

Wonder if you could put a low iron stand in the middle of the cabbages and put a large pumpkin on it and cut open the top and use it as a planter? Your arrangement looks beautiful as always.

Hey Laura, how about a Clematis on a trellis in front of the AC unit? That would provide a screen and leave a lot of room to plant in front of it.
