I absolutely adore L'eau despite the bad reviews. It's so easy to wear, uplifting and classy. And even if you can't wear No5, this is a very easy to wear adaptation of the original.
Hello! I love how the opening citrus blast gives way to a mellow floral/fruity vibe. I think this is a modern, refreshing Chanel. I love wearing it as a weekend pleasure. My Chanel at work is Chance eau Tendre, perfect and mellow.
I love this perfume! I had samples and loved it and bought myself a full bottle (my first ever Chanel!) in the original boutique in Paris while studying abroad. For that reason, it will always have a special place in my heart and I’m one of the lucky ones that it lasts all day on! I think it’s really classy and beautiful. Love your reviews and the way you shine through even in videos. Thanks for everything 💜
Thank you for validating my impressions of this one! The one time I really enjoyed L'Eau, I was at a conference for work, in cool air conditioned meeting rooms in LA, in April, an arid breezy month there. Somehow that environment seemed to agree wonderfully with the dominant musk note in the dry down. It was a soft hum that kept me from going to sleep in those boring meetings. (I really think the company cut some corners by replacing the signature rose/jasmine notes with musk.) My favorite No.5 -- Eau Premiere, thankfully does have the gorgeous rose/jasmine finish that lasts many hours. The other No.5's have it as well. Love your reviews. Your videos are a soothing balm these days. Be well.
I never liked No5 edp. My mom has worn No5 for years, and I just couldn't make friends with it...but...I really like L'Eau a lot (even though I generally don't love soapy scents). I like it enough that I talked myself into buying a little 30ml bottle No5 edt to force myself into a relationship. So, my betrothed will arrive on Saturday. I have this thing with fragrance and music; even if I don't like it at first, after I spend enough time with it I build sort of a relationship with it. I will find things that I like /love about it enough to be totally attached. If that doesn't work, I'll sell it.😄
It smells more modern but honestly between this and Eau Premiere as more modern version, I'd reach for EP 8/10 times. Thanks for the review! Hope you're doing well! Stay safe!
You should try Eau Première, it’s beautiful. Still remember the sales lady at the Chanel counter explain it to me when I bought it the first time ten years ago (and when it was in the tall slim bottle); “If no 5 is an oil painting, no 5 Eau Première is in water colour”, which is EXACTLY the way to describe it. 😌 L’Eau I don’t care for, it has no identity.
I absolutely adore N 5 especially the pure perfume one I also very much like N5 L,eau , both feel very classy and very feminine and always make me smile great review tom
Hi Tom great to see you. You look well. I like this flanker, the opening is lovely. But I prefer Eau Première, which is a bit rounder and richer and lasts a bit longer on my skin and projects more. This one disappears after 1 hour on me. Not worth the price. Thank you for this review. Keep well 💕
@@ouch110 Well... actually I ended buying Eau de Chanel ☺️ and LOVE it. The 100 ml bottle was on sale in a reputable retailer and the price was too good to resist and it was perfect for the warm weather. I learned to smell the subtle notes on the drydown and they're calming and comforting. Having the 100 ml, I can be generous with the spraying and use industrial amounts of it on my upper body and on my clothes too. I prefer it to Eau Première now 😄
With l'eau I have finaly found a No.5 I can wear. I always wantrd one cuz it was my Grans signature but all where too much. Premier was good too, but I actualy get better performance from l'eau
Dear Thomas , I'm so glad you reviewed this one 😊👍🏻. Great , Very beautiful scent 🤗🤗 I always have to have one in stock - I'm in panic when my bottle is half vol 😱😃. Very strong - long lasting parfum - surprising long lasting 🤔👍🏻👍🏻. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🐝🍀
Missed you🤗 you look well. Great review as always. I own and love this one. It’s the only no5 I can get on with. I agree that it becomes a skin scent not to long after initial wear, but I’m into intimate performing frags and I prefer scent over performance any. I get about 5-6 hours and then I would top up. Can’t wait for your next review 😊 I love how you roll with the bloopers. You’re so authentic and your energy is so refreshing and genuine, but you already know you’re my favorite 😉
I have always felt very overwhelmed by the “weight” of Chanel fragrances (discounting the Chance line) so this sounds incredibly attractive. I have also always had a weakness for jasmine, citrus top notes, and vetiver and sandalwood and musk bases. The thing is these things can vary so wildly so the closest thing I can imagine is Maison Margiela by the Lemon Tree, CK Be, and Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc (all of which I’m a fan of). Would you say they were similar? Hope you are well as well and keeping safe x
It definitely has a clean musky vibe, but not similar to any of the ones you mentioned! I would say deffo try it as it doesn't have that chanel opulent glamour that lots of them have. It's tender and light. The longevity is not super amazing though. :(
Totally agree with you on this one, pretty scent, but lasted about an hour on me. I don't care how much I love a perfume if the longevity is that of a cheap body spray it's a no go for me.
I like this one too but prefer Eau Premiere, Parfum and EDT as my favourites from the No.5 lineup. I cant do No.5 EDP though, nothing about that scent works for me 😷😬
In the spirit if flankers of legendary juices, how about a review of Shalimar Eau de Cologne? I've read great things about it and ordered it a few days ago. It's a blind buy but I've high hopes. I got mine for a great price from a UK website.
@@ouch110 I love the dry down of the Shalimar EdP (the real deal) 😉. However the opening notes... I guess my nose is not sophisticated enough to appreciate them yet. I'm considering buying the EdT to get me into the Shalimar proper.
Shame, my son is sending me a bottle of this and I dislike fragrances that don't wear. I think performance has become an issue with many fragrances in Chanel's Exclusives line.
Huge fan of Chanel vintage classic fragrances and their Les Exclusifs. This flanker is one of those perfumes Chanel should have not released. Nothing interesting, really.Original Chanel no 5 ruulez haa
Im stupid since i bought them on good faith without testers due to covid19 based on reviews. Either all the reviewers had better batches and Chanel deviously weakened everything about 2017 onwards or they just have noses like bloodhounds
You’re a great fragrance reviewer
I appreciate that!
I absolutely adore L'eau despite the bad reviews. It's so easy to wear, uplifting and classy. And even if you can't wear No5, this is a very easy to wear adaptation of the original.
Thanks for sharing!!
I love No 5 L’Eau and I know I’m probably in the minority but I get very good performance, especially on clothes it lasts for days.
I love it too. It wasn't love at first sniff, but I do find myself reaching for it a lot.
Spraying on clothes is always a good tip!
Hello! I love how the opening citrus blast gives way to a mellow floral/fruity vibe. I think this is a modern, refreshing Chanel. I love wearing it as a weekend pleasure. My Chanel at work is Chance eau Tendre, perfect and mellow.
I’m so happy to see you uploaded a video. I miss you! 🤗 I hope you and your loved ones are doing well.
Thanks Jaclyn, sorry for late reply. 8 hours in replying to comments and still going. Wow!

Thanks so much Bonnie :)
No5 smells very clean. Like the most expensive luxurious soap 😍😍😍 not a fan of the l'eau I love the original.
:)
My favorite Chanel No.5 flanker is eau premiere. It’s powdery florals & performs as decently as chanel fragrances do
That one is also nice!
I like the Eau Premiere and the original a lot more, both also last a whole lot longer.
Eau Premiere is one I would like to review for sure!

Thank you, I need to wear the premiere one, I remember liking it when I tried it.
I'm only familiar with the edp , so it's great to learn more about this from you ☺
:)

Oh that's a cool way to think of a perfume. I think I've smelled it once...I must revisit. :)
I was just thinking that I miss watching your videos when I saw that you uploaded this one. Great review as always 👌🏼
Hope you're doing well and staying safe 🙏🏼
Thanks Ameerah :)

I'm not a #5 fan at all, but you're actually making me want to buy this. You're just too damn poetic!
Haha ooops.
Got a Sample..IT'S BEAUTIFUL !! Don't LAST on MY SKIN Either !! You're Right, is it Worth the MONEY ?!? ALMOST Tempted..hummm
It's a shame, because it smells lovely.
Wow, you've totally sold this to me, although I wasn't even interested in this before I watched your review!! I can't wait to test this now!
Hope you enjoy it!

Aww thanks. Yes this one is lovely, but for someone like me who likes statement fragrances? It won't be a buy.
Superb review!
Thank you! Cheers!

I just got a couple samples of this from my perfume gal :) I am really excited to try it!
Hope you like it!
Never been clicked that fast 😂👍👍👍
Haha thanks.
No 5 L’eau lasts longer for me in the summer. Warmer weather makes it last for me. Also the citrus is really good in the heat.
:)
To me its a totally unisex fragrance. I can't wait for summer to wear it
:) Enjoy!
Completely agree except I did buy it😅
Great review as usual Thomas❤
Thanks! 😀
I love this in the sommer, more than anything else.:) and: i use tons, and respray every 30 mins if i go crazy:)
oooh! it's fun to lavish yourself.
I’ve been between this one and premiere for awhile
Both are lovely right? I just wish this one lasted longer.
❤️
:)
very honest 😉
thank you so much😍
My pleasure 😊

My favorite version of Chanel #5, It is much lighter.
:)

I get about 6-8hrs from it
Have you ever reviewed no9 edp?
I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on that.
Hang in there btw.... it will pass.
I haven't!!! I would like to.
How kind are you. Yes it smells nice but it’s so blah after 10 minutes. 😘❤️🌈
Haha
It reminds me of D&G The One, but cooler and sparser.
:)
What sign are you, When is your birthday?
I'm a Gemini! hehe. My Birthday is 18th June. :)
Huge fan of Chanel vintage classic fragrances and their Les Exclusifs. This flanker is one of those perfumes Chanel should have not released. Nothing interesting, really.Original Chanel no 5 ruulez haa
Sorry your not working at the moment. There is definitely a silver lining in the clouds for you....
Thank you!

:( This one was not the strongest on me, shame.
