- After six months and over 5000km at the wheel, journalist Olek Novak has just two more days before he gives back his Hyundai Kona Electric long term, so is this a departure he is dreading or one he is welcoming?
Today’s video is part one of our two-part wrap up of our experience, where we will take you through our complete assessment of this video inside and out.
The entry-level Kona starts at $54,000 before on-road costs putting it on the more affordable end of the EV spectrum but making it a very expensive Hyundai small SUV.
Can this price be justified in the fact of rivals like the BYD Atto 3 and Tesla Model Y?

I agree with you. I love bright and bold colours on cars. There is too much grey in our world already, colourful cars are fun!
I recently felt your videos highlight both real pros and cons without hiding rather than just being Marketing piece. Love your work. Keep up the good work.
I think cutting out all the repeating of the presenter could have cut 5 mins from this video making it more impactful. Looking forward to part 2.
Are you watching on 2x?
Still a waste of time. @TheStagswag
@@scott8919 can't please everyone
Hold the mute button on the wheel, and set it to information only it get rid of the anyyion beep
Orange would be cool looking or a yellow colour. I like the styling of the Kona.
I don’t know about you guys, but this economy feels worse every day. Prices just keep going up, and it feels like I can’t get ahead no matter how hard I try
Tell me about it. Even saving isn’t what it used to be. Inflation just eats up everything. I’m trying to figure out if there’s a better strategy here, you know?
Most rich people stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then most poor people stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich but impressing them. People prefer to spend money on liabilities, Rather than investing in assets and be very profitable
You are so correct! Save, invest and spend for necessities and a few small luxuries relatives to one's total assets ratio.
Exactly! I shifted to trading, and it’s honestly been the best way to adapt to this economy. It’s risky, sure, but with the right approach, the rewards are there
Waking up every 14th of each month to $210,000 it’s a blessing to I and my family… Big gratitude to Stephen Vincent Marotto🙌
I am thinking of getting the Kona N Line or the EV3 GTLine. Which one do you recommend? Is there a big difference in real world range?
forward and reverse are 2 different gears aren't they? so gear selector is still relevant.
I have the 24 kona comfortability r line with the 310 mile i could never leave it the auto drive is lush
$55k, with current FBT exemptions if you can lease, I believe makes total cost of ownership over 5-10 years equivalent to buying a $35k ICE vehicle.
Is "lithium ion" the actual battery chemistry? Not NMC or LFP etc?
An EV that comes with a spare wheel...you lucky lucky people.
I have to disagree about the shift selector, I find it intuitive. The placement for the drive mode is bad though, gets cover by the phone charging, a coat, just really not that great, hard to look at it, etc.
i love mine
