Just got one, super excited. I have to wait 10 days to get mine but in the meantime i'm shopping for some new grips and for some food for it since it's my first 22WMR.
FYI. I bought new grips for my Ruger Wrangler, they looked good but when I made it to the range they were very slick for my "Workers hands". If I had to do over I would have stayed with what I got. Anyway, nice choice of firearm and enjoy!
I love mine. The fiber optic front sight from the Ruger shop really makes a huge difference for the sights. It does stick off the front of the barrel but it's only about a 1/16 of an inch or less. Not an 1/8 of an inch like the one review claims.
Is the 22 mag more accurate than 22lr? Since 22 mag is .224 and 22lr is .222? I wouldn't think the barrel will accommodate the 22 mag obviously since its slightly larger in diameter
As seen in this video, the range I'm at doesn't make much difference. Where you would see a difference in 22 mag accuracy is at longer distance. Barrel is .224.
Ruger made a winner. I have one and it's great fun.
