Rebal has a point though. Somewhere between 7/7.5 -9.5 as personality score after first impression would fall in the same category. I would even argue that long term there's not much difference in that score appearance wise either. So personality wise those two girls were close to eachother in score, while on appearance preferences there was a clear difference (8.5 vs 5). The girl he chose had a higher combined score too (16.5 vs 14.5).
It would be ironic if he chose a girl with f.e. looks 9 and personality 5. But chosing someone with looks 8.5 and personality 8 seems like a more logical option than someone with looks 5 and personality 9.5 (looks according to personal preferences of course)

We actually don't recognize the features of other races as easily as we do our own so its hard to interpret or judge on that alone. That's why we should not rule anyone out before talking with them. I kinda always dated pretty guys just to learn later on that their personality was shit until one day I started working at this restaurant. My coworker wasn't my type at all, but something about him really got me. So we decided to hang out and we got to know each other, he was the funniest guy ever and he was so sweet and entertaining. I wasn't really sure if I liked him or not, since about looks I didn't find him too attractive. We started hanging out everyday, and everytime I realised I was finding him more and more attractive. Needless to say we both fell in love and I just can't tell you guys how much I find him beautiful now, how much every small thing about him is just wonderful to my eyes. Personality IS the most important thing (of course looks matter, we can't lie to ourselves)
