I am literally close to tears, the fact that these people are calling perfectly normal looking women ugly and pretend-puking over them and openly being mysoginistic and downright cruel is so upsetting. Let? Why do you assume that the producers decided that there should be no make up? If the competition is to be ugly, why would they put make up on? Also, I might be wrong, but I think a few did? The first one looks like she is wearing a nude lipsticks and possibly put a bit of mascara on and the third one either slobbered all over her lips or she has a glossy lipstick on.
This isn't ugly, ugly is when someone has to bring someone else down just to feel better about themselves.

The first girl is what you call, unconventional beauty. The audience's sense of beauty is underdeveloped to say the least.
Edit: I may have used the term "unconventional beauty" a bit too loosely; she is by no means odd looking. I was just trying to express how she doesn't look like the typical pretty girl but has a very exotic and striking look. I can't really put my finger on why that's the case but I think it has something to do with how she looks so sharp and chiseled, yet so dreamy and tender at the same time.

Scenes where the judges are making fun of scars are so disgusting, you have no idea what sad story lies behind scars, me personally I had a cancerous tumor which was harmfully close to a vertebrae in my spine, and after a risky surgery I've been left with a scar down my back, it took months of physical therapy to get back on my feet and sometimes the pain made me feel like killing myself. So to see the judges make fun of these women because of their scars genuinely pisses me off.

I got a taste of this in middle school (2008). Guys were SO mean to me and as soon as I started dressing up, wearing make up, and died my hair blonde, they were so nice to me in high school. It really is scarring and I did develop an eating disorder and body image issues. For any gen z watching this, people really were this blunt and rude back then. You were called sensitive for getting offended which is why you're called snowflakes online by older generations.
