    Hey Dan! I just recently found you on TH-cam and I have to say thank you! I get at least 1 or 2 great tips from you, with every single video I watch. I have power washed years ago and still have my 4 gpm machine, backpack sprayer, etc. I have realized after watching your videos that I have always cleaned home exteriors the hard way and with high pressure. Soft washing is definitely the way to go and I tried your mix from a previous video on my own house and I was simply amazed! I live in SC and mold is everywhere. Now all I see is money to be made and I'm looking at getting my LLC and insurance soon. If you happen to read this, I would love to get in contact with you. Thanks again and I will continue to learn from your content, liking your videos along the way. 👍😁👍

    That is the same surface cleaner I used when I did my mom's sidewalk and driveway, you have a bigger pressure washer than I do so you finished faster than what I did. I love the surface cleaner it makes it a lot easier, the time before I just used the wand with a wide spray tip and it took forever, lesson learned. I have learned about pressure washing and trimming from ones such as yourself on TH-cam, thanks for taking the time to make and share your videos!

    You do a good job on your videos and show how a homeowner could do their house with products from Lowes or Home Depot. If you really want to make this a business you want to buy commercial grade everything. That surface cleaner is killing your back and wont last but a few driveways it is junk. Buy a Eagle Wash or Whisper Pro surface cleaner and you will fly through concrete jobs. The edging can be done with your surface cleaner also. Keep up the videos and great job for being a small business owner! Good luck and keep upgrading equipment as you grow your business! You will look back and think "Man I used to wash with that?!"

      @@jonathanhall571 Prices may vary greatly depending on where you are and your market, but I get $75 for a single story and $125 for 2 story. Usually get $.18 sqft for surface cleaning ( driveways,patios, etc). If they're interested I'll cut em a package deal for a better price.

    All you need to do is cut your rubber hose running to your chemical take and in-between where you cut add a small little reducer. You can buy them at lowes or home depot for like $3-4 bucks. It will fix that issue of the downstream sucking in to much chemicals and flowing to much through the hose. Thanks for the videos.

    quick question? Let me know if i heard you correctly did you say you only come back and rinse so that the windows do not spot up? I did not know you could leave chemicals on a house, I thought that the whole purpose of rinsing after you lay down your soap/chemicals was to remove the dirt and grime and remove the chemicals off of the house so that it doesn't damage siding and or paint over time of sitting and heating up from the sun. Just wanted to ask you if i heard you correctly. Thanks

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya pretty much. The chems are so thin, it evaporates without harm. Rinsing is done to remove loose dirt and spider webs. I rinse the windows real good tho to prevent spotting and to further thin any SH that might be on the metal window sills and A/C units ets (that are metal). Vinyl siding is fine. Won't do any harm.

    I've been watching your videos for the last year, just as a form of entertainment. With the exception of 2 new cars we purchased in 2017 my wife and I are debt free since the ages of 50 years old (she was actually 48). She will be coming off of the only job she's had for the last 32 years. I decided that I don't want her to work any longer, unless she wishes to. Since getting good info from your videos on how to wash houses my OCD would make house washing a lucrative side business for me. I live in a part of South Carolina where I see dirty mobile homes all the time. NO ONE in this area is doing house cleaning at present. Since I'm blessed to basically be debt free, even though I do work a full-time job as a security officer, I don't have to work a full-time job to live. I think I'll do this for a good 10 years so we can buy the RV I've always wanted so that we can see all of the lower 48, like I've always wanted to do. Thanks, and manifold blessings to you and your business. You're awesome, sir.

    Dan I have a couple of questions for you - what is the lance that you used on your power washer handle, second are you using regular household bleach, or 12%. I also see you use soap, would like to let me know what type of soap you are using. When I wash my house, I use pole and brush, with a water, sunlight soap and household bleach. Your idea works really good. Thanks for the video. Burt - BC Canada

    In north east we have some over 100 years old stone houses, rough stucco with tall dirty black chimney. How would you do that, soft wash doesn’t work well even if I put the downstream directly in 12.5 sh. Pump spraying takes too much time and need 40’ ladders.

    How do you price for surface washing? Some guys in my area just give a straight price for a job. Others do it by the foot. Just curious how you bid it

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +CountrysideLawnNY I give a straight price and take into consideration if the house is being done too. A house and driveway-sidewalk combo takes me around 2 hours. I go somewhere around $200-$250 for everything. Driveway only matbe maybe $150. Depends a lot on condition of the surface

      if you charge 150 for just the driveway. what is the measurements of the driveway? how many sq ft.

    • @Sara-L
      @Sara-L 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Charging by square foot gives some people an unfair price. They may need only a little wash and they get charged an arm and a leg because of square footage, compared to a heavy duty project and a tiny driveway being charged less. Better to charge per visit and the difficulty of it. Customers won't like when your prices go up and down.

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you use Dawn or similar soap in your mix, the easiest way to know you are all rinsed out of the SH is when you see the water no longer sudsing as you spray it on the surface.

    Three questions...
    1. What about the streaks that the chlorine leaves on the shingles as it kills the mold up there?
    2. Doesn't the chlorine kill the grass where it lands?
    3. How many sets of clothes do you go through in a day with the chlorine wasting them?
    That edger is cool. I am about to finish making mine but had the Texas floods delay the process. It's good to see one in action.

    • @DansVlog

      +ATMAtim The mix of bleach I use is not strong enough to even begin to clean roofing shingles. No streaking. Chlorine/Bleach/SH will kill everything it touches if not properly diluted. I mix it pretty thin so I have not had any issues. I ruin only a few sets cause I try to use the same clothes. Thank God for Walmart clearance racks!!

    Dan, I purchased the Briggs & Stratton surface cleaner today. I connected it to my spray wand, opened my water spicket all the way, fired up my Honda GC160 engine on my power washer and tried cleaning my aggregate sidewalk with it. Maybe I wasn't doing something right, but the water jets did not seem to be spinning very fast at all ... certainly not like what I am seeing in your video. The cleaning job on the sidewalk was not that great in my opinion. It might be a different story on a SMOOTH surface like you are shown working on. My pressure washer is about 2,500 PSI. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!
