Hope that makes sense ... im assuming the rinsing part is just water right? Thanks for any feedback anyone who knows is willing to offer. • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does not hurt the grass. It is mixed pretty thin. Most washers come with wheels and can be mounted. A roll around is good to save money on pressure hoses and a trailer.

      +jstu45 No they don't. A cpvc fitting is slightly different than a pvc fitting. Either it has wall thickness differences or something but I promise you, CPVC is not the same as PVC especially where important plumbing is needed. When I brought my tank (empty) into Lowes to find a thread on fitting for the drain plug, I was there forever trying to thread on a pvc fitting until an employee came over and handed me a CPVC fitting and boom... threaded right on without any slop.

    I run a pressure washing business out of NY.. up until this year we have always used some type of "off the shelf" mixture thats gauanteed eco friendly but that requires a lot of going up and down the ladder. Ive been seeing a lot of other companies dont even get on ladder and finish a full 2 storie home in an hour! (it usually takes us about 2 with other method) What type of mixture are you using? It seems like everybody is saying just use straight 10% SH when downstreaming and make sure its rinsed good.. We have hot and cold washers so thats not an issue. What would you suggest for mixture?

    Great video Dan. Im in the softwash business doing houses and roofs. I currently use the standard diaphragm pump setup that is powered by marine batteries, but Ive been look for a more efficient way and your method seems awesome. So my question is, how do you control how much chemical comes thru your downstreamer? Being that I do houses and roofs, I need various concentrations. Oh and BTW, those prices are SUPER low, lol.

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't really control the siphon. I thin out 12% in the tank and I use 10% straight. I will just move faster or slower when applying depending on how bad the job is. I am no pro by any means so look for more info and good luck.

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Joe Dub I haven't come across wood shingles and I have also altered the colored of wood ( mostly cleans the area the chems get on) but that was before I thinned the mix. Now going 50/50 bleach and water AND syphoning that mix the chems are really weak. Much safer for shingles, wood and plants.

    Dan love your vid's. Thinking of adding this(soft house washing) to my small lawn & snow biz. Question I have for you: Do you ever have problems when you have over spray on roofs? As in the roof/shingles gets cleaned in spots from the solution mix and is noticeable from the rest of the roof? Or any problems with your mix hurting plants near houses? I often see people around here spray the plants first and then of course after. Thanks any info would be most appreciated.

    Hi again Dan, I have a question I hope you can help me with. I have been getting customers that want me to wash their house, which is fine, no problem, except here lately all the house that want washed are so close together that is almost impossible to do i mean they are so close together you can not push a lawn mower between them let-alone stand between them and shoot SH soap mix or water to rinse on them. The houses are 2 story and pretty big too. So ok in theory you should be able to shoot at an angle from the front of the house and then go to the back of the house and shoot at an angle and hopefully get the whole side cleaned... Right?? Because otherwise you would just get stuck in between them while trying to clean it and get soaked too... I can not find any videos on TH-cam to help me with this one.... what should I do to get it clean?? Thank you for any advice you might have on this.

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are going to get soaked almost no matter what especially when you’re doing People’s front doorways so don’t worry too much about getting wet… It is part of the job. Your technique from working from the front and then working from the back is exactly how I would do it however the concern is going to be it’s splashing and wind drifting the chemicals to neighboring houses and leaving spots and streaks. If you cannot perform the job without Disrupting the neighbors or possibly having conflict it is sometimes best to walk away and leave the money on the table. Also keep in mind what the wind is going to be doing that day.

    • @SarahsPage
      @SarahsPage 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont worry about getting wet, i always get soaked. I do more decks, driveways and way to many stairs and stairs make the water splash up into your face. I have done front porches and dormers but never the whole house; I dont know why, but I have done whole houses before just not that many and never this close together. You literally have to turn sideways to scratch your head, so given what you said i may just take the challenge and clean the house and clean the other house wall that is beside it, with their permission of course. If they say no then I will just leave the money on the table and walk away. Thank you for the advice.

      For plants and shrubs you need to water and plant food them down real heavy so they soak up alot of water/food. If not the Bleach (SH) will kill the plants and shrubs. You can cover the plants and bag the down spouts to catch run off . Make sure you don't use any ammonia Surfactant(soap) mixed with bleach it will generate chlorine gas.
