  • Scenic, low level, hardtail e-bike ride in the English Lake District National Park using bridleways & forest trails to ride alongside Ennerdale Water and on up that valley. Lovely trail for those riders looking for an off-road route but don't fancy the more technical, high level routes; the routes that are readily available in books, magazines, youtube etc.
This ride is 18 miles long. Roughly 90% off-road with the remainder on very quiet country lanes. A basic map of the route is available at the end of the video.
The video pays particular attention to the routes terrain to ensure potential riders can judge if the route is suitable for their level of riding ability. I've put together this ride and several others (work in progress) as I've found a distinct lack of detailed information on rideable off-road routes for those of us with mountain e-bikes (hardtail or full suspension) who want to enjoy an easier ride. I've spent considerable time walking bridleways to assess rideability as many are just not suitable for our needs or just overgrown!
The number of e-bike riders appears to be rapidly increasing and I'm hoping these routes will be useful to those visiting Cumbria and the Lake District and maybe even the local residents, like ourselves.

Looks to be a very nice route. We have eBikes that are almost mountain bikes but not quite and this route looks ideal. I've not been to Ennerdale for over 13 years when I drove up to the Youth Hostel and the nearby 'shepherds bothy' to service the fire alarms there. After watching your videos we've splashed out and ordered some phone holders for our bikes (mentioned your channel as the referrer).
