    The lakes is just an amazing place to be, regardless of activities but some decents look 😮scary😅when i did the gravel epic, that was mind blowing and the weather was typical lake district weather, rain 😂😂😍👊stay safe and sound mate

    What an epic ride that was, it looked like extremely hard work on those descents, i think my arms would of dropped off haha, that's proper hiker bike, definitely a few wow moments in this one, fantastic video 👍

    I have to say Andy, that’s got to be my favourite video that you’ve made mate, I know some people are a bit anal about long videos but as far as I’m concerned, bring them on especially when they’ve got this kind of content, I’m not scared of heights but some of near vertical drops right by your side made me a little anxious, I think you’d make a superb MTB guide because your knowledge of the Lake District and Peak District is faultless, keep up the great quality buddy 👊

    Jesus, my toes curled all the way through, I'm scared of heights and go pro actually made you realise how steep the downhill was and going right on the edge. Very brave. Gorgeous views mate x

    ….Brilliant video Andy …..what a place to ride . I love the sheer exposure on some of those trails when you know too much speed and lack of concentration could cause disaster ……but to have that vista in front of you ….as you said Wow ! I’m not so sure I’d enjoy carrying the Levo on some of those hike a bike bits 😂 . Well rode mate ….it was great to meet you last week on Jason’s ride

    Another great route & vid, thanks again for the .gpx, looking forward to giving this one a go. Mind you I have such a heavy eMTB I would struggle to shoulder it on some of those climbs, so might have to rethink; pity as the descents look great. Cheers

    Looks an absolute beast of a ride. Stunning scenery all of the time. The hike a bike sections looked grim, don't fancy lumping my 15kg bike up some of those climbs, but worth it in the way down I guess

    45 minutes mate... and yet I was engrossed from start to finish. Absolutely epic mate, video and ride. Warnscale has been on my list for a long time and this has cemented that it's got to be done. I've done Black Sail years ago, thought the top was a bit crap and the bottom half amazing (I was on a Santa Cruz Chameleon with box section chainstays though) and have pushed up Sty Head, remember thinking that it wouldn't be all that as a descent because of the rocker dockers. Would be better than what we did do that day though, which was try and ride down Rossett Ghyll. Never, EVER, try to ride down Rossett Ghyll.
    You know the problem with all this riding you are doing in the Lakes is, don't you?
    The Dales are going to seem far too tame 😃

    • @shonaridley7170
      @shonaridley7170 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Riding down Rossett Ghyll? Holy shit, that must've been a bad day. 🙂
      It's bad enough dragging a bike up there, never mind down.

    • @Stopadoodledoo
      @Stopadoodledoo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shonaridley7170 it was interesting, for sure. Walked one bit; could see a line but the cost of failure would have been a call to Mountain Rescue for sure 😃

    Love all your videos and your type of riding matches mine - just getting out there in the wild! I've retired and I'm looking to move to get closer to where I can ride and walk. My wife loves the Dales and your videos have convinced me that this might be the place. If you could live anywhere to best indulge your sport straight out the door and convenient for Lakes, Dales and N. York Moor, where would it be? Started looking from Skipton to Penrith and Harrogate to Richmond. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

    • @TrailFinder
      @TrailFinder  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally live in Harrogate. Which is such a great location. I can get anywhere in the dales with in 30 mins to an hour.
      1 hour to the moors. And 2 hours to the lakes. Also 1 hour 30 to the peaks. Perfect
      If you want to come straight out of your door to ride settle maybe a good place to look. But that limits you to the dales and lakes.

      @Trail-Finder Thanks for the reply. Appreciated! Your gpx files along with the videos are a fantastic resource for riders like me to easily find great days out. Keep up the good work!

    As you were doing the first descent it looks quite close to the edge, how aware of that were you? Sometimes I watch videos where it looks quite close and perilous, but when you're actually on it the path is wide enough for it not to bother me - what did that feel like Andy?

  • @greenfishpinkowl
    @greenfishpinkowl ปีที่แล้ว

    Could I ask please which Garmin mount you're using here that allows for the Exposure light in front? I used to mount my Garmin on my stem but it no longer fits there when I have the Exposure light fitted. Cheers!

    • @greenfishpinkowl
      @greenfishpinkowl ปีที่แล้ว

      I may have answered my own question. I've just ordered the Exposure stem quick release bracket so I'll give that a go!

    Which Garmin do you use for routes?

  • @mickgarbutt3553
    @mickgarbutt3553 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Your best yet Andy. I've walked most of that route, on separate occasions, over the years and know how rough it is in places. The idea of doing it on a bike just doesn't appeal to this old fart!
