    An interesting side effect of the way that the Ageless Walker works is that you can actually get unique starter cards into decks that they didn't start in.

    I definitely recommend the newest small box expansions first, since they have additional treasures. Into the Wild also continues the storyline.

    By the way... still missing some tricks with Sahala. Her ability can be triggered *during* her casting phase... note that it doesn't say at the beginning or end of the phase, it says during. So it's totally valid to cast a spell from her IV breach that was prepped last turn, prep two using her ability, cast both of the new spells, and then proceed to the main phase and prep a final spell there.

    I haven't played Talix often, but what I enjoyed most about him was his amazing level of flexibility. You can fill all his open breaches with spells and then see how much aether is available, or get as much aether as possible and then prep whatever spells are left.

    Nice playthroughs! I was playing Fenrix in the app recently. It looks like only one player can put their position token on a claw when it is first revealed, which makes them harder to deal with. Thanks for the work you put in to playthroughs!

    54:20 just a little bit of note, if you have to discard most expensive card and cards you have cost only 0, then you need to discord one of the zeroes, because its most expensive card. Just quick note for anyone wondering.

    Finally watched this. I think you are incredibly wrong about not having the base box or war eternal. With the expedition system now only having war eternal would get super stale. I however have a HUGE stack of nemesis to fight. It’s not at all the same nemesis mechanics. Just because they are using nemesis tokens in the same way the rest of it is completely different. I’m glad you liked it though but it’s not at all the same as before and not having the older stuff would not be good imo! Look forward to seeing an expedition soon.

    I will also say if you mix up the nemesis cards and play those old nemesis again I think you will find that some of them are MUCH tougher.

      note: the designer said that the basic nemesis cards were playtest all together.

      Matúš Sedlák ok? My point it’s there is a lot more variety so the nemesis will not play the same with everything as they did with just the stuff in the box they came in. It makes a big difference

    The rules for the Echo keyword specify that the spell is cast only once while resolving the cast effect twice. I wasn't able to find an FAQ that specifically addresses breaches with bonuses other than plus damage, but my interpretation would be that you get bonus damage multiple times simply because it is multiple instances of damage... other bonuses would not trigger twice because only a single spell was cast.
    Edit: Found the rule... and I was wrong. All bonuses apply to both instances of the spell even though it's a single casting.

      cast twice

    • @ronhatch9175
      @ronhatch9175 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sedlak87 Technically it's not cast twice... but looking at the rule that specifies that (page 13 of the rulebook) it actually also mentions that all bonus effects are resolved for both instances.
      The fact that it's a single casting matters if you've attached a relic that is discarded on cast.

    Aaagh! At 56:30, "any player discards their most expensive card in hand" is NOT the same thing as having the most expensive card in anyone's hand discarded. Melanie should have been the "any player", since her most expensive card cost was zero.
