A major design goal with New Age was to make the mages more interesting... and it really shows. Claudia is my favorite of those currently published, since I enjoy playing support characters and the flexibility of handing out money is incredible.
Oh, and I got the impression that you never read the Recurring Jasper correctly. The entire text of the card takes effect *when played*, so it can be placed on top of your deck repeatedly... and in fact, often will be since the casting phase happens first in the turn.
Love your guys playthroughs, bought Aeons End TNA thanks to you, not to mention gloomhaven and TMB. It was fun seeing how the 2nd nemesis could be dealt with in a different way, and a bit cleaner perhaps lol. Keep doing your thing, love it all 😉

I'm really impressed at how well you kept the nemesis tokens under control... there was some good luck there with the timing of when certain minions came out, but correctly guessing that it was important made a huge difference also.

They read Reccuring Jasper wrong right ? You place on top of the deck when you play it and the top card in the discard pile is a spell. So it "recurs ...".
on "open deck XY" you should unwrap the deck and use it not just unwrap :D so pick treasure and new market. before you know what next boss is
Are you sure? I know that is how Legacy did it, but it doesn't tell you that in the New Age Expedition deck. It actually says open it and put it in your barracks. Nothing about looking through them and choosing supply cards. In fact, in the rulebook, setup Nemesis come before supply setup in the setup order. So you really only need to pick your mage and treasure cards before setting up the Nemesis. I may be missing something, but the designers probably should have been at little more clear in their instructions. However, for this expedition we will continue to pick the supply before looking at the Nemesis either way.

tresaure level 1 starts in your deck
And just in case that wasn't clear enough... not just somewhere in your entire deck of cards, it has to be in your starting deck. Which excludes your starting hand.
