If Freddie wanted to be a Brave so bad he would be a Brave! You can't make him sign a contract if he doesn't want too! The Braves made the right choice in not tying up big money to a 32 year old First baseman when Dansby, Max, Riley, and the young core's contracts start to come up so this was a smart decision!

Pache won't pan out. He can't hit. Langeliers is the best of the bunch and will be a starting catcher. But there's no guarantee he becomes the All-Star Olson is. Lots of potential though.

braves fan here, i’m super big on pache and langeliers as well as cusick. pache bat obviously needs work but his defense is some of the best you’ll see. Langeliers is almost mlb ready so unfortunately for you guys I feel like sean murphy is gone, but langeliers has amazing upside. Cusick if he works in his command is gonna be awesome also, this trade is bittersweet for all teams involved but I think everyone got a good return.

I also like the younger guy Estes who was dominating the competition even though he is a couple years younger than the league average. I don’t think Pache will ever be great offensively, but he is the best defensive outfield prospect today. We are honestly going to have one of the fastest and best defensive outfield with Barrera in LF Pache in CF and Laureano in RF (where he needs to be) I’m big on Langeliers too. He’s a good offensive catcher and an even better defensive catcher. I think the A’s will hang on to Murphy at least one more season and have Langeliers as the backup until he can handle being the starting catcher. He wanted six years and I think Braves would have gone to $180 mil. Look at the Pujols deal. He was hitting .285 first year with Angels at age 32 (Freddie's age) and went down to .245 in 6 years. Olson is about to turn 28 and has 2 years on his deal. Braves can extend him and still have money to sign Acuna and Albies when they hit their prime.
