I played Here Comes The Pain for the first time in 2005, this was my introduction to professional wrestling. The first Smackdown I watched was May 26th, 2006 and it was the night JBL retired. This, Booker T becoming King Booker, and Rey Mysterio's WHC run were amongst my first impressions. Insane to think this was 17 years ago. As a 12 year old I thought the Vito stuff was hilarious. I never understood why they gave him this push and then dropped him with no fanfare.

I was young when this all went down, and all it reminds me of is WrestleMania 2000 season mode, make a CAW with a dress on walking like a Diva, then proceed to go on an epic undefeated streak so you can maybe unlock Shawn Michaels Which was no guarantee I lost to him twice and had to redo everything. The last one it was a CAW of me with the Fire Thunder Driver as my finisher!
For me I always liked the lighting on SmackDown opposed to Raw, I felt it gave it a more lively feel. I also started watching WWF with basic cable so Smackdown on UPN there’s that emotional attachment🌤️
Smackdown was usually better because it was only 2 hours and they went for more wrestling than RAW. RAW being 3 hours u really need to book a exceptional show to be good. Triiple H about to do those but Vince was booking so much cringe stuff and short matches
