Torque specs:
Bolts that hold the 2 halves together: 20 Nm
Bolts that hold the carrier to body: 19 Nm

How well does this perform in comparison to swapping in a single piece driveshaft?

From a throttle response standpoint it’s nearly identical. It doesn’t substantially increase the load-carrying capacity of the rest of the shaft though of course. It does avoid the NVH, critical speed, and exhaust clearance issues that can come with a 1-pc.

These upgraded carriers keep the driveshaft firmly in place at all times. The more solid bushings ensure the bearing cannot move from center, maintaining torque delivery and driveshaft alignment at all times, resulting in more direct driveline response under all conditions.
