    Fred Newman is in the documentary "Quantum Hoops" about the Caltech basketball team and their record 21 year losing streak.
    This is not an actual scene from the movie. This is an edited version of tape he sent to Guiness to become the world record holder. The actual tape has no cuts and is 45 minutes long.

    The fact that he got his own rebound each shot is what makes it even more incredible. Shooters know it’s much easier just staying in that exact spot while someone passes back the rock.

    I worked alongside Fred and can attest that every shot looked the same… because he was consistent.

    i saw this guy going for a record or something on free throws at the NBA all star jam weekend in San Antonio a few years back. He was there shooting when we arrived and was still shooting when we left. i watched for a while and he was just on fire like it was pop-a-shot.

    If you think it's fake, put in full screen, use the bottom right of your mouse to mark exactly where his left foot falls back at the highest/furthest point. It varies at different shots yet is very similar.
