They try to advertise that belt for working body; I just wear gym shorts and a t-shirt or a hoodie and sweat pants if it's winter. Nothing going to scratch the body then (if anything, just going to help polish it at the end, lol).

One of the best episodes I've seen this show do. They've changed the one thing that always held their show back a little. They didn't walk out of the frame after saying their line. If they do the rest of their episodes like they did this one, there's a lot of potential for some really good episodes

I took that side trim off my 94 Silverado short bed but I didn't know anything about the heat gun and that eraser wheel. Holy smokes that was a tough job! I so wish I had known about this technique. I did put LED lights on it which made a giant difference at night in the desert. This project is looking amazing. Nice work U 2.

    • @athhud

Took that stuff off of my Tahoe back in the day. I MIGHT have used a hair dryer, but definitely didn’t use a heat gun or eraser wheel. It was mostly my thumbs and rubbing alcohol. Those blisters took a while to fade away.

I can understand why you were so concerned about placing that truck bed back on the truck after you cut such a huge amount of metal away - it could have crumpled like a piece of aluminum foil. I do like the fact that you can see the work of art called a rear suspension on that truck. I was a bit surprised you didn't give the paint a bit of a rub with 1600 grit before the clear coat. The orange peel was noticeable - I guess you could sand it out at the end as well.

    • @gregbrightwell662

I don't like how that clearcoat came out. The colors are fine, but I think the clearcoat is inferior to the name brands. I don't see any depth and the shine is lacking. years ago, I tried the Eastwood clear on my daughter's jeep and it was horrible. But if you can get a decent finish with these cheapo paints, then you are going to look like a superstar when you decide to go PPG or Sikkens.

LOLOLOL!!! YOU guys left the bed like that??! Absolutely terrible! What is the point of having the bed on there, you cant even use it for cargo now! And you cut out that huge piece and it lost much of it's structural rigidity! You could have at least used the piece you cut out and welded it back on with enough clearance for the suspension!!!
Just like I commented on your previous video where you built the suspension - although it may be cool - it is totally impractical and a waste for a pickup bed! There is a reason why it's a pickup bed! You should have boxed in the bed with a step, and you would essentially have two different sections in the bed for cargo...... Why the heck did you leave it like that. Jeezeeee!

This is a silly comment. Weren't all vehicles from the 1940s on mostly chrome everywhere? Bezels, bumpers, etc. Does that mean that all the greatest generation was metro lol! Chrome is actually a very difficult chemical process. Not too many places left that actually chrome dip car components. They have cheaper, paints that are sprayed on to look like chrome, but they aren't really chrome. I personally am not a fan of lots of chrome either. A lot of bike components are chromed because they sit out in the elements and chrome is very durable compared to conventional paints or powdercoats. But back to this guys truck --- I think they may be in the category you suggested lol.
