Have they figured out a name for this Powder yet? What powder coat company should I contact to try to find out exactly what type of clearcoat this is? How much is it? Definitely need to know this information please if you could help me out I’ve been searching for something to protect my gold for years And you’re right about the cerakote being difficult to work with.

Can you do a how-to on mixing custom colors? I love prismatic's offering in colors, but sometimes their "color-matched" recommendation doesn't match as close as I'd like it to so I'd like to have an idea how to tweak the appearance of a color if needed. Thanks!

Q. can you powder coat over hydro dipped graphic parts instead of a 2k clear without damaging the image or dip that was applied? Example. rocker cover- powder coat base colour white ect then hydro dip the powder coat then a clear on top to seal it all in.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF POWDER COATING 22KT GOLD PARTS? YOU DIDN'T MAKE THEM GOLD. THEY WERE ALREADY GOLD. I SEE NO DIFFERENCE? PLEASE EXPLAIN THE BENEFIT TO THE WHOLE PROCESS.
Gold is a soft metal scratches easily, especially on something exposed to the elements, road debry and constant wiping down. keeps it looking nice for as long as possible.

I know this video is one year old but would like to ask if you electroplate gold on aluminum motorcycle parts. I do some gold plated motorcycle parts and will have some parts made from aluminum and it would be cool if you could do a video about aluminum gold plating or even metal gold plating. I'm now re-building a 2004 V-ROD with a lot of gold plated parts and a body kit. Thanks in advance, Jeff

I would do it with Acrylic clear.
Columbia Coatings or Prismatic . Columbia always has those weird kv settings though

To protect the gold. I put clear on them.
