  • I recently got a vintage rc10 gold pan, championship edition, and I wanted to see if there were any 3d printed rc car parts for it. On thingiverse, I was able to find all these free files for 3d printed rc parts for the rc10 gold pan, so I can bash with it all day long and not be worried about breaking any parts. I was able to find 13 3d print files for the team associated rc10 and fit most of them on my rc10 ce. Hope you guys enjoy.

    Great video! very informative, nice to see how cars are brought back to life with hard to find parts, what a satisfaction :) and spur gear for their cars (but most end up wearing out after a short time of use) (at average speeds of 22mph)

    Had the same car as a teen I bought it for 60$ for everything with chargers, batteries , and spare parts. I ran for years and upgraded over time. One day I ended up running that thing under the rear of a parked car tire and bent it like a banana. 😢 After that I got a RC10 ST.

    Silk filaments are a lot weaker than normal plastics because of the elastomer that's blended in to make them shiny. You shouldn't use it for mechanical parts

    I'd recommend using PLA+ or PLA PR0. Use TPU or TPE for flexibility on parts that need to be flexible.

    For anyone who want to print A arms: print them in an 45‘ angle. It’s way sturdier that way 😉👍🏼

    Well done man! I’ve had mixed results with 3D printed parts - sometimes they do the trick, sometimes not so much - were you using ABS for those RC10 parts or PLA?

    • @JacobusRC
      @JacobusRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, I used PLA. Mixed results so far, I recommend possibly printing in nylon. For best results with PLA, print the parts at a 25-30 degree angle sideways with supports. Helps to make the holes for hingepins and stuff stronger.

      @@JacobusRC Ah, so that's why they looked interesting, good idea! I was amazed that nothing broke during the video driving to be honest. Good job! Yes I would recommend nylon, though I've never printed with it myself.

    I am curious how the front and rear A arms hold up. Keep us posted on the durability of the parts as you get more run time on them. Thanks for the cool video.

    Why didnt you print the steering bell crank set up that looks like it was available at the site? That cob job set your sporting from the previous owner is complete junk. You seem to have skills solid skill with the 3d printer and it came out nice. Keep up the good work.

      Thanks for watching 👍🏽. I believe I didn’t have extra bearings for that 3D printed bell crank setup at the time so had to stick with the old custom junk for the video 😂
