    Mod Y owner here. I agree that you don’t drive ICE cars after driving a Tesla. My next cars will be S and X. 😎👍😃

    I’m wondering what they service during intervals for RM350 every 6 mths??
    There’s no oil or any other major fluids to change. RM350 for what parts??
    Thanks.

    Honestly speaking, never thought that maintaining Tesla is so much cheaper than the
    combustible engine cars.

      Not yet. I believe the first one should be live by Q1 2024.

      I believe test drives should be available within the next 2 months. It's best to speak with your local Tesla Sales Advisor and book at www.tesla.com/drive

      I believe the official Tesla Service Centers & Showrooms should be up by Q1 2024. Waa. My civic average fuel 4 to 500 a month.

  • @josephebrahmian1256
    @josephebrahmian1256 ปีที่แล้ว

    every 6 months for service? what service? mechanical items can service every 10,000 KM only if any wear and tear and EV drive system and rest normally no need any service. OS for the vehicle can be updated OTA type.

    • @jihangaban
      @jihangaban ปีที่แล้ว

      brake calipers needed to clean/relubricate due to rare use otherwise can get stucked. back cover has some air gap which cause debris to enter the cover, require regular clean. other than that air filter, wipers, washers can do yourself. 6 month is too short of interval, 12 months is just about right.

    • @josephebrahmian1256
      @josephebrahmian1256 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jihangaban yes 12 months is good. I design EV platforms and developing one now. all the wear and tear are normal and depending on the way vehicle is driven and kept as these are mechanical parts and same with all other cars, but 6 months is not realistic in my opinion. also charging the batteries daily is not a good idea. Tesla OS will notify the driver when SOC is at 30% or less, so it can be plugged in either AC at home or DC when in public charging station. based on my experience Tesla mechanical parts are less reliable than other EV such as Hyundai or BMW.

    What happens to their business once Tesla officially comes in?

    • @DarenYoong
      @DarenYoong  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Ed. They will have to stop selling Tesla vehicles and focus on other brands. Some dealers also transition to become Tesla service/mod centers, to compliment the official Tesla Service Centers in the country.

  • @jasteech
    @jasteech ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why do you need to send the car for service every 6-months?

    • @DarenYoong
      @DarenYoong  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe it’s not needed for Teslas, and have met many owners who didn’t have any major maintenance costs (beyond wiper fluid, air filter and tyre rotation) over 2-3 years. It’s a nice extra option for those who prefer peace of mind, like AppleCare when you buy Apple products. Everyone should make their own decision on this.

    • @mofufu
      @mofufu ปีที่แล้ว

      Very confusing so 6months servicing spend on what? I don’t think u change wiper. Fluid or tyre rotation so frequently right

    • @sheddenee
      @sheddenee ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not compulsory but just advised to do so as we will carry out a diagnostic using the Toolbox 3 software to check for any faults, charging patterns and wear and tear parts :)

    I dont think she didnt like sedans, She doesnt like EV sedans, which have seating positions rediculously "low" (due to high floor form batteries.). A ICE sedan seats very different from a EV. The moment I sat down on a tesla M3 i said NOPE.
