    AC = Alternating Current. Good info guys. Do keep in mind that the power you use across almost all home charging points and public pay-to-charge points still use power mainly from coal fired power utility stations. So yes, emission free but not carbon neutral.

      Lol if people can afford Tesla, then why not install solar system, if you install enough plus power pack, there is people already prove they has more than enough solar where their solar even export energy to the grid when their house and Tesla basically powered fully by solar. With Tesla you can have solar, But with ICE you can't has oil refinery at your backyard.

    Tesla Model Y onboard charger can only take 11kW AC. It won’t be able to take 22kW AC so you’ll still be paying more at the time based 22kW AC charger.

    Regarding road tax, the government is currently working on legislation to lower the road tax for electric vehicles (EVs) after the current exemption period ends in 2025. They are aiming to be lower than current fossil cars.

    Hi Ziet, I am sorry for asking out of topic. I would like to ask about your view or opinion about apportunities tesla company in Malaysia. I mean like in tesla have open other kind of business like Starlink, SpaceX, Neuralink, Tesla solar that I learnt from TH-cam videos. How's your opinion about tesla company in Malaysia in term of Bursa saham and is it can be great opportunities also to invest tesla in Bursa saham since Malaysia have more potential in term like solar and nowadays in news about the Starlink and SpaceX. For me, it could be great competition between those telecommunication companies in Malaysia also solar company. Even though, Tesla is still new enter Malaysia in the future could be among those top competitors company in Malaysia.

    Great video im just wondering how much or when should tesla owners will need to change their batteries and how much will that cost. or will the insurance in Malaysia start to cover the batteries as well, that would be one thing less to worry about.

    • @ZietInvests
      @ZietInvests  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! Typically, Tesla batteries are designed to last a long time, (usually) exceeding 500,000 miles (as far as i know) before significant degradation. The cost varies, but you can read more here: www.makeuseof.com/how-much-cost-replace-tesla-battery/
      Re insurance in Malaysia covering batteries, it's ever-changing we'll have to see how policies adapt over time. It would indeed be a relief if they do!

    • @ZietInvests
      @ZietInvests  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello, from what i know read online, post-warranty Tesla battery replacements can be costly, often ranging from a few thousand to over USD 10,000, depending on the model and battery size.
      However, Tesla batteries are designed to last and degrade slowly (plus their 8 years battery warranty). Hope this helps!

    What about Tesla Y tyres ? Do they need special EY tyres ? Which is alot more expensive than the normal tyres
    Byd Atto 3 can use normal tyres ?

    • @ZietInvests
      @ZietInvests  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tesla Model Y, doesn't necessarily need "EY" tyres, it's recommended to use tyres suited for electric vehicles (EVs) since they can be optimized for lower rolling resistance and the added weight of EVs. They might be pricier than standard tyres.
      As for BYD Atto 3 (from what i know), most EVs can use "normal" tyres, but it's always best to refer to the vehicle's manual or the manufacturer's recommendations for optimal performance and safety.

    RM270 for each tyre rotation, balancing? Man this is absurd price, the local foreman will charge not more than RM 50 for all 4 tyres rotation + balancing, excluding alignment

      @Ken.Low. 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ZietInvests I think if we read it properly, I think the post meant he did 5 tire rotation over 2 years and each time it cost RM270. Meaning every service is RM270, not RM1350. Otherwise it won't make sense tyre rotation almost equal to buying new tyre price

    In all total cost of ownership of a car often we forgot to consider the depreciation cost. This is yet again missed out here. Yes, it would be difficult to know the resale value of a Tesla Y in the future but we should not associate 0 cost to it. I would be interested to watch a more complete cost video

    • @ZietInvests
      @ZietInvests  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You'd definitely have a point - i did thought of the depreciation aspect but the resale value is very vague in Malaysia (we only have data on grey market, that in itself is not very accurate due to the launch of the official model Y disrupting their prices). But yes, we could use some benchmarks from the US too. Thanks for the input - will keep in mind for future videos!

    Paying rm2,080 over 9 years period means easily 50k on interests alone.
    Not factoring car depreication over the same period.
    Frankly speaking.. on average a person works for 30 years. Never buy a new car on 9 years loan. Not even 7.
    If he cannot afford to buy a car with max 5 years loan, he should go either used car or something new that's a lot cheaper (and smaller).

  • @AtmosJourney
    @AtmosJourney 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Based on all the parameters presented on the cost of owning and operate an EV, it applies to all EV makers in the country too. It's not cheap and not that cost saving compared to ICE cars.

  • @thatsawesome2060

    With Tesla i assume you have landed House to made it easy to charge at home. so people with landed House should consider installing solar with power pack battery that further save your energy bill and you actually can charging with more green energy and not depending on grid. Finally say goodbye to petrol station.
