I love making backstories for my characters! One of the best things about Elder Scrolls to me is the lore, so I love incorporating my toons into the world somehow.
I always go for the 'scruffy adventurer' look. If there was an outfit style / costume that resembled Aragorn's garb from LOTR I'd have that. Backpacks and shoulder bags FTW.
This is really great, Artea, thank you. My 2 toons are tank mains and I'm always futzing around with knight-ish outfits. Of the styles you listed, I see that I'm missing a few which I will now work on adding.
As you can probably tell, knight-ish outfits are my favourite ones to make And sweet! I'm glad to hear that you'll be able to add some more neat styles to your collection!
I personally love this style of video i spend embarrassing amounts of time on pintress looking at syles and ideas on combinations so a showcase idea is really fun and helpfull
I spent 4 hours on the Shipbuilder's Woodworking Staition antiquities lead yesterday and then had to rearrange my house crafting setup, so YEAH !! My ennoiD character is a force in her HTM God-Tier Nightblade armor. As mentioned previously I model my 7'+ tall High Elf female charater after my wife. She currently looks great swinging a Psijic Maul while wearing the Snowhawk Mage outfit all bleached out in Marble White !! I missed the boat on the Snowhawk Mage weapon style if it ever existed. Love your chartacter style and content and music. Always happy to see an Arttea video appear !!
This is awesome, thank you! Making outfits takes forever, hardest part of making a character and I always both look forward to and dread that moment I decide a character needs some sprucing up in their looks. I love including little nods to the backstory of a character and I love hearing how others do it. Yeah this video was wonderful to watch on all levels, apart from my saved up gold because now I will be looking out for some motifs again... 😂
My main character Arrovela used to be a vampire way back in like 2017 so in my headcanon she was rescued from vampirism by Dibella/pyromancy and now she is a champion of Dibella. It makes decorating homes and making outfit styles pretty fun. Lots of flowers and fire.
Really loved the video! The Fashion Scrolls TH-cam content never seems to be particularly high quality so it was super nice to see your take on it. Would love to see more Fashion Motif videos in the future! :D
Lmao at the people who were crying at fashion being the endgame for ESO. It's like that in every single MMORPG nowadays, WoW, FF14, GW2, ESO, SWTOR, the list goes on and on. Who doesn't want to look cool? Who doesn't want to grind for a cool looking item? Flexing to everybody else is kinda the point of MMORPG's.
As a fellow closeted filthy roleplayer, I approve of this video. I've been running around cyrodiil in my knightly drip waving about my house hexos staff ever since I fought tooth and claw to get emp on my pvp main, and I'm not ashamed of it XD My favorite knightly combo is knight of the Circle chest with house dufort shoulders, Celestial legs (light for long dramatic cloth), Ivory Brigade hands and legs in heavy, with house hexos staff mainbar. Backbar has my prior thierric rose shield. Paired it with the knight of the Circle chest because the design on the chest always looked like a rose to me even if it's not supposed to be. Love the romantic feel of knights and roses. Armor is dyed silver, with the cloth parts in emperors red, to connect the rose theme, the fact that I'm in the Pact, and the symbolism of the emperor and red diamond. I enjoy the way my high Elf looks in it. He cuts a damn imposing figure on the battlefield if I do say so myself xD Amazing video, I'll be using it to inspire me for Isobel's outfit! Loved hearing about your characters. Hearing people's headcannons is my favorite thing.
I bought entire knight aspirant style by using gems from free twich drops crates and some of endeavor currency. So, in current game state, its very possible to get that kind of things without spending money on any crates.
aaa fellow eso fashion girly here, i loved this showcase 😍 I’d love to see a similar video about which dyes you use & ways to get them, I feel like i’m always struggling to figure out where the good ones are! (especially ones that don’t look like crap on metal textures haha)
@@celiazamorano6602 Thank you! I am using the "transliminal violet" dye on the metal pieces of that outfit! It's my go-to favourite dye for anything metallic. You can unlock the dye after defeating the simulation of molag ball that appears in the middle of the Imperial City sewers!
knight spirant hood & pauldrons, balfieran sentinel gauntlets, true sworn light chest, and the knight aspirant boots and buckle make a pretty good mercenary or sellsword style that I use for my DK
I love all the knight themed motifs and sometimes I even go back to the alliance ones... (covenant being my favorite of the 3).. but I don't have that many pvp ones... yeah I'm scared
I do use the "royale reshade" preset for videos, and I'll tinker around with some of the reshade settings depending on the scene to make small adjustments - like if I'd like to add a DOF effect to a shot. I add some minor graphical adjustments in premiere pro, but nothing too crazy! I'll leave a link to the reshade preset here: www.nexusmods.com/elderscrollsonline/mods/144
I mostly use a lot of the same dyes! My favorites are: transliminal violet (for that dark gold colour) legate's black nirnroot grey (for silver/grey pieces of heavy armor) bedlam purple (to add a bit of contrast, instead of just spamming legate's black on the fabric) ayleid gold (for bronze/brassy pieces of armor)
would you be able to do a video of the outfits you use/have used for your toons? there are some lovely ones featured in your shorts but i cant find which styles they are! ❤️❤️
Ah if they were in my fashion shorts, then the list of motifs should be shown in the video itself or you can find a list of the motifs used in the description/pinned comment 🙏
Arttea: Fashion and Housing are TESO End Game... Me [39 houses later, Necrom new blueprints and forniture, new crafting materials, new antiquities forniture, new motifs, etc]: Yeah I agree with you.
Hey what's your character body proportions settings? I tried putting knight style outfits on my female character but it looks weird. Like sometimes the arms looked too big, the hip armor clashes with the sword and the legs looks odd when putting leg style that has skirt pants.
I mostly used: -transliminal violet -legate's black -nirnroot grey in these outfits! All of the motifs are listed in the description, as there were two glowing staves (vykosa and maw of the infernal).
Can't play ESO because of "Queue issue that ZOS said the fixed two days ago but they didn't (wtf)" but your videos are the small sunlight in these dark days
Good video, so sad that the KOTC is such an expensive motif (or gotta do Cyrodiil), it is by far one of the more realist-accurate armours in the game. I am a bit upset to see what the Ascendant Lord armour in game is like, it is a butchery compared to the trailer version, the grand lines are the same but the proportions seem so wrong... Also, why do so many armours lack back flaps now? They look weird with non-skirt sabatons. For ideas, I would like to see a series of TES lore-accurate (including other games) armours, like Ebony and Daedric (not just the styles but also the execution of colours etc).
Omg agreed! I should have shown off how the ascendant lord's cuirass looks like on my characters The chest portion juts out so much so that it makes the side-profile of my characters look like a giant triangle, it's absolutely horrible They really dropped the ball with that one, as the armor looked really neat in the trailer!
@@Arttea IMO they really need to rework a lot of the proportions/fix some armour details. This seems like the major recurring theme in the armour design in ESO. Like, Trinimac heavy has huge side flaps... why are they flying? The cuirasses are too long, you would never bend with so much metal at your waist, and all the older "base game" armours look like glorified reskins, including the 5k crown store Xyvkin motif (another motif whose trailer version is something we never got). I play a lot of knightly characters and I end up adjusting their appearance so that the armour looks realistic, kind of a weird approach but here we are in ESO.

@Arttea They are pretty toons, but why bosmer, just why. At least get Zeni to show them some love for crying out lout.... That said... Fashion is endgame for most MMOs. Guild wars IS Fashion Wars 2, warframe is fashionframe, counterstrike makes RM trades for weapon skins, Destiny 2's shop and season passes lean heavily on fashion and so on and so forth. As long as MMO games make over 90% of the game available to everyone regardless of skin (which I do not think its a bad thing, a NOOB and a PRO paid the same money to buy the game), the options for personalization after you do the content is what makes your character and your game experience, YOUR OWN character and YOUR OWN game experience.
I absolutely hate ESO's "fashion". Very few sets of armor and costumes are worth wearing. If you check out other MMOs like Black Desert and FFXIV you'll see fashion that isn't an eyesore. I love pointy armor designs and gothic inspired designs not the mundane shit in ESO. Maybe the issue is the low fidelity feel to everything. The graphics and lighting need a major overhaul.

Literally every mmo endgame is to get some sort of fashion or housing item. Titles, mounts, outfit styles, etc
