lol, not having a plus account kind of forces you to be more precise about what you keep and what you don't. You can't afford to chuck items into storage in hopes of deciding what you want to do with them a day later. Increased storage removes the urgency of having to deal with stuff on the spot. :p

Another tip for getting yourself a guild bank is to create 9 accounts during a "Free Play" event, its a time consuming task but you are guaranteed to never lose guild members and you can create more than one guild if you want even more storage.
Mind=blown. Why did I never though of this? On a similar vein: why can't you just make numerous Beth accounts instead of having to "buy" the game multiple times (assuming I'm understanding you correctly)?
@@abd-qadirgilani8871 you don't have to buy the game during a "Free Play" event. During a free play event last year, I created 9 free accounts that I used to get my guild bank. I also helped out 4 other friends with those free accounts I made.

Managing my 18 Char ESO plus inventory is incredibly time consuming, and through advice or having learnt the hard way myself, I use as many of the tips outlined by Artea already. I am a chronic hoarder of anything I have made legendary, I just can't bare the thought of having used 8 legendary mats, to get a low return on decon. So I have used up most of my chars bag space. The add on, Inventory Insight is one of the best QoL addons I have had the pleasure of using. As the saying goes, One Inventory to rule them all! Cheers! Chilly.

Great tips. Its so funny because Ive been playing for 5 years and only recently realized that every house had its own furnishing storage. I used to lug all of my extra furnishings around with me for years lmao

Also I honestly don't remember what it was like playing before ESO plus, there's no way I could do without my craft bag nowadays. Way back when there were less mats to worry about it was doable but yeesh...serious props to people who play without it now.

When I first started playing eso 4 years ago it didn’t take me long before I could justify the purchase of a plus subscription - mostly because I needed that craft bag so badly And as you said, there have been so many additional materials that have been added to the game since then… major props to the gamers that can play without it
I've said it this a few times in different places, but really bears repeating: eso+ is the full version of the game, unsubbed is single player/demo version until you are literally RL time-locked out of material progression. What's crazy is that some players still see this as a rip off/pay to win when every other mmo of the same class is mandatory sub.
@@Saieden Oh yeah no I totally agree, I think it's a perfectly reasonable price and restriction. I was just making a general comment that the craft bag is an invaluable resource and I don't know how to do without it haha. I started playing back in 2014 before ESO became (partially) non-mandatory sub, and before the craft bag existed. I mean every game needs to be making some consistent money or they can't afford server upkeep, employee wages, etc. I just think it's quite impressive that there are some people that are able to still enjoy playing the game without the sub, although they will often go to increasingly unfathomable lengths to do so. I talked to one guy in zone a year or two ago who...like...I can't even comprehend how he manages to keep everything organized and still be a master crafter without the craft bag.

As someone who played the game for 2-3 months without an esoplus its like, 80% of my time spent on organizing my inventory and 20% actually playing the game. its not about an mmorpg its like playing a game about inventory management great work zos.
Arttea I must say your one of the few, Esotubers that make great vids. That are useful and funny compared to the competition. I must thank you for the quality you put into your vids. Half of the Eso vids I've watched are useful but boring, or exciting but a brain cell cooker. Arttea keep up the good work.
I have the larger homes to decorate and the smaller ones to store my excess furniture items in. Of course I have a notebook beside me that I log what item is where, and its alphabetical. 😁 I'd really like better options for storage too, especially since we now have companion armor to cart around. But I doubt they'll ever create one. Nice video.
I wish the sticker book would allow you to place items in it. That way when you can save the ones in the right traits for later or if you have a set golded out you are not currently using you can find it easily later or pull it out on an alt to try it out for a build.
That would be nice. The sticker book is great for getting rid of gear that you may decide you actually want to use at some point, but it doesn’t really provide a solution for storing all of the golded out sets that we actively use.
Regarding the storage in the mailbox, I don't have said trusted friend (my friends would troll me and keep the shit), so I put items in a guild trader then immediately take them off which places them in your mailbox as well. There is only a 1% tax to do that, but if you want to get risky and put your item up for cheap knowing you will pull it off immediately, it's fine
For 5:47 tip, some giga galaxy brains of friend of mine, made 10 accounts during ESO freeplay event, added them to guild and never touched those accounts again.
I have an alt to hold each type of survey. There's an add on that let's you set it up so an alt picks up all the cloth surveys, for example. Another alt will pick up all the blacksmithing surveys. That add on is such a time saver. I keep all treasure maps on one character as well. One alt is the character that decorates my home. The character that I would hate to gameplay on the most. The addon can also be set to withdraw all furniture from the bank automatically. I put gear that is situational in a house container. Helps keep my bank empty so when I gameplay a lot I don't have to deal with inventory management the whole day. Anything that can be placed in a guild bank goes to my personal guild bank.
Another tip is to grab an additional copy of eso (I don't know if this works with Steam) when it's on a good sale. I've grabbed a base game eso copy to be an alt mule account for around $7. Which then gives you access to 8 additional mule characters (unless you grab additional character slots) each with 200 item slots (once pack and mount upgrades are done). As a guild master this is where I've ended up storing those event items, recipes, motifs, or furnishing/furnishing plans that otherwise take up far too much space. This also helps with the personal guild bank strategy by making it so you have one less person to need to invite and worry about leaving the guild. It might seem weird to spend extra money on an extra copy of a game you already own, but it's way more bang for your buck than a inventory pet that gives 5 slots per char. Even if the pets are cute.

Those are some of my favorite features of your videos, and for the last few videos I've just kept rewinding over and over trying to catch that one second where I could read "Sir this is a bank" - totally worth it though.
Since I’ve started playing, I always had ESO+ but now I gotta say goodbye to it, so this video came out at the best perfect time!!! Time to create bunch of mules to carry my stuff 😂 And seriously Arttea’s cinematic universe is getting so complicated, soon someone purple will show up to snap half of it out of the existence 😂

Really good video. I use my extra tunes for storage but I really want to get back to having 3 pvp 3 tanks and 3 DPS and I'll have to get the home storage because with the way that the gear changes in ESO you never know if what you're wearing today will be garbage tomorrow or if what you are getting ready to get rid of will be top of the line next month or if some cool build will use it or if I can find a buyer
It’d be nice to have an inventory system where multiple characters could equip the same items. For example, you could have 3 of your DPS toons all share 1 set of Kinra’s gear. That way you dont have to remake 3 sets of the same thing for all those toons. It’s expensive, it takes up too much space, and it’s annoying to swap all that gear between toons the way it works now.
Needed this cuz in this patch magplar has good gear options (finally)and I'm carrying like 20 sets with my slave chars while trying to trade all these style pages . RIP all my gold mats and inventory . Ty for dee help

4:15 If you don't have and/or trust any friends or guildies to mail your stuff back (or just don't feel like interacting with anyone at the time), just list it in the guild store, then cancel, and let it sit in your mail.
I have my inventory and bank space maxed out, all the coffers, and several houses filled up. If there was a way to buy more inventory/bank space with crowns I would honestly probably do it. It’s exhausting hopping from mule to mule trying to remember where something is.
Tell me about it. If you're on PC, there is an addon that shows you which mule has which items that could be of assistance! But yeah man, even if zos introduces more storage space by way of more "pack" pets on the crown store, I'd tell them to shut up and take my money
You try to remember which mule has what? Mules behave like my real life cellar. Whatever is in there, I cannot find anything and probably don't even remember having it at all. So I buy it new :D

ESO+ is definitely the most convenient way to go. HOWEVER… $15/month is $180 a year, the game is celebrating ten years. That’s $1,800 (not including the cost of each new chapter) and any miscellaneous purchases. I love the game. Amazing graphics, solid plot line, great community. I just can’t justify $2,000 for convenience. 😟
New player here and I just got into the beginning parts of the endgame. I'm finally able to do vet dungeons and collecting monster sets, cyrodill gear etc. I'm running out of room!
One thing I did was, in those "free play" events I created 9 different accounts and joined my two personal bank guilds with them, now I have 1K slots to store all my mats and random stuff, no need to ask other people and live in the constant fear of someone leaving. I only pay for the ESO plus when they drop a new DLC so I can see if it's worth it or not spending the crowns in them.

Yeah the storage furnishing crates and maxing out the bank and horse storage are the ways to go, and having 8 characters even if you don't need them. It still is quite a knightmare since I have several gold sets, so instead of ESO plus I get Nuzimeh and Tythis to lighten my load. Can't afford ESO plus since I already pay for PS+, but I just buy the DLC I want and wait for free ESO plus which is extremely helpful farming event. Probably the most important ESO event. Also it should be a no brainer, but I always apply to guilds with traders that don't require dues, if I ever have guild slots.
The free home Doomchar will be my my furnishing storage home. If people have the patience they can do like I did (xbox na) I made 9 new outlook accounts, signed on to Xbox with each of them, registered them with eso website, ran through the tutorial with each of them and I now have 2 personal guild banks and never have to worry about losing the people
@@scytalelolo I feel like I read somewhere that this won't work on PC. With Playstation and Xbox consoles your installed games are shared with any account logged in on your console that is why it works for us.
@@scytalelolo if it's furnishings that are giving you trouble and you have a bit of gold you can buy a few of those 50-75k gold staple homes that hold 100-200 items
Since I don’t have ESO+ or whatever it is that doesn’t have the permanent craft bag, I’m stuck either giving a large bit of materials away or I sell it in a guild store (per the selling, its with help since I stink in math), but I have a tendency to run out of space fast. Mainly after writs.......

Hello! Welcome to ESO! Sure, so to make a mule, you don't need a second account or anything! You just need to create a secondary character! When you are on the character select screen, you should see the option to create another character! There is no need to create a whole entire other account just for mules - you can simply create the additional characters on the account that you already have! I, unfortunately, do not have any experience with creating multiple ESO accounts, so I'm afraid I won't be able to help you there!

"Leet" mod to Mailbox Storage: Wait for the bi-annual 'free ESO' promo, and make another account - won't cost a thing! Make a character there to send mail to, and get the Postmaster plugin. Turn on the mail Auto-Return in that plugin. Now whenever you send mail to that character with "RETURN" in the Subject (or BOUNCE or RTS), as soon as that character opens their mail, all of the RETURN messages will be sent back to you, automagically. (Make sure there's enough gold in their bank to over the return 'postage'.) Just remember to log that character in before their mail gets deleted.
Eso needs a companion app where you can move inventory around like Destiny has. What's worse than trying to store everything is trying to keep track of where it all is
Are writs accessible with the base game or do they require a certain expansion? I have quite a few Tel Var Stones that seem to be unusable because I can’t reach the Imperial City, so I’m hoping writs might be a good alternative for acquiring storage chests.
Mailbox inventory... if you have a friend who's quit playing email things to that friend. 30 days later they come back. Magic Sorter will help you categorize your warehouse houses
Haha what exactly are you holding onto? I’m quite the hoarder myself (since I like to resell old items for tons of profit) but I’ve been able to more or less comfortably hang on to everything fine with these methods.
How does one organize all the sets? It’s so frustrating to scroll through hundreds of items just to see if you have all the pieces of a set. Why can’t things be sorted by sets?
I’m not sure if you play on PC, but there are addons that can help organize the inventory UI that you can use. I just use the search tool (there is one built in to the base game) myself to quickly sort my wares and look up sets.
I need a whole a** bank just for master writs and surveys. And yeah, I've got 3 notable houses maxed out with furniture. Would love to decorate them but simply can't. And while we're at it, can we raise the ridiculously low caps on furnishings? Especially the Specials and Collectibles. It's kind of pathetic that I can earn more trophys and busts than I can display.
Originally when I started this game all those years ago I was mainly a pver, so you didn't need that many sets to play with and life was less complicated NOW I'm predominantly a pvper with 16 fully maxed out toons that are all different classes both mag and stam. Life in ESO is a lot more complicated now as the change in META gear sets seems to happen weekly and it's a strain on my inventory to keep up. SIGH such is life.
Create new accounts. Pc ps or xbox. Create characters for the new account. Get enough writs to purchase chests for them. Then just mail your mats to them. As a non eso plus member this is by FAR THE BEST STRATEGY.
Let’s just say the only reason to have ESO+ is the craft bag and the discounted prices in the crown store. They need to open up more of the storage bins for all that buy gloss
I have a issue where I put my items in a chest (coffer) or bank and they just go back in my player craft bag or player inventory. And my chest or bank becomes empty again? I have eso + New player !! Any idea what's going on and my I cant store things in a chest (coffer) or bank without this happening :(
ESO + is what keeps me from returning... i shouldn't have to fork over $ just to be able to manage inventory space and be a crafter. I'm willing to bet this system keeps a lot of us old timers away. I reinstalled after leaving about a year ago and just felt totally dejected and left to play Skyrim VR lol. I think it keeps a lot of people paying but it also keeps a lot of us who used to pay away, and that's because we understand how much of a burden managing the inventory is, even WITH ESO+ it was a pain in the arse.

I have often used the "Mule" system in other games. Somehow it never occurred to me to use this in ESO. Thank you!.. for reminding me.

Really good video. I use my extra tunes for storage but I really want to get back to having 3 pvp 3 tanks and 3 DPS and I'll have to get the home storage because with the way that the gear changes in ESO you never know if what you're wearing today will be garbage tomorrow or if what you are getting ready to get rid of will be top of the line next month or if some cool build will use it or if I can find a buyer
It’d be nice to have an inventory system where multiple characters could equip the same items. For example, you could have 3 of your DPS toons all share 1 set of Kinra’s gear. That way you dont have to remake 3 sets of the same thing for all those toons. It’s expensive, it takes up too much space, and it’s annoying to swap all that gear between toons the way it works now.
Woeler made a good tweet. Maybe a good option would be that they don't take inventory space and are placed the same as quest items.
Needed this cuz in this patch magplar has good gear options (finally)and I'm carrying like 20 sets with my slave chars while trying to trade all these style pages . RIP all my gold mats and inventory . Ty for dee help

4:15 If you don't have and/or trust any friends or guildies to mail your stuff back (or just don't feel like interacting with anyone at the time), just list it in the guild store, then cancel, and let it sit in your mail.
I have my inventory and bank space maxed out, all the coffers, and several houses filled up. If there was a way to buy more inventory/bank space with crowns I would honestly probably do it. It’s exhausting hopping from mule to mule trying to remember where something is.
Tell me about it. If you're on PC, there is an addon that shows you which mule has which items that could be of assistance! But yeah man, even if zos introduces more storage space by way of more "pack" pets on the crown store, I'd tell them to shut up and take my money

Mules behave like my real life cellar. Whatever is in there, I cannot find anything and probably don't even remember having it at all. So I buy it new :D

I remember when I finally broke down and got ESO Plus. I said out loud Wow! ESO is fun again! Hated having to log in and out on my pack mule toon 😜
ESO+ is definitely the most convenient way to go. HOWEVER… $15/month is $180 a year, the game is celebrating ten years. That’s $1,800 (not including the cost of each new chapter) and any miscellaneous purchases.
I love the game. Amazing graphics, solid plot line, great community. I just can’t justify $2,000 for convenience. 😟
New player here and I just got into the beginning parts of the endgame. I'm finally able to do vet dungeons and collecting monster sets, cyrodill gear etc. I'm running out of room!

One thing I did was, in those "free play" events I created 9 different accounts and joined my two personal bank guilds with them, now I have 1K slots to store all my mats and random stuff, no need to ask other people and live in the constant fear of someone leaving.
I only pay for the ESO plus when they drop a new DLC so I can see if it's worth it or not spending the crowns in them.
I'm already doing all of this and I still cry out loud with all the damn trial gear i really wanna keep 😂

Yeah the storage furnishing crates and maxing out the bank and horse storage are the ways to go, and having 8 characters even if you don't need them. It still is quite a knightmare since I have several gold sets, so instead of ESO plus I get Nuzimeh and Tythis to lighten my load. Can't afford ESO plus since I already pay for PS+, but I just buy the DLC I want and wait for free ESO plus which is extremely helpful farming event. Probably the most important ESO event. Also it should be a no brainer, but I always apply to guilds with traders that don't require dues, if I ever have guild slots.
The free home Doomchar will be my my furnishing storage home.
If people have the patience they can do like I did (xbox na)
I made 9 new outlook accounts, signed on to Xbox with each of them, registered them with eso website, ran through the tutorial with each of them and I now have 2 personal guild banks and never have to worry about losing the people
Is it possible to do the same on PC ? I dont see how to get these extra accounts log in the game without buying it ...
@@scytalelolo I feel like I read somewhere that this won't work on PC. With Playstation and Xbox consoles your installed games are shared with any account logged in on your console that is why it works for us.

Since I don’t have ESO+ or whatever it is that doesn’t have the permanent craft bag, I’m stuck either giving a large bit of materials away or I sell it in a guild store (per the selling, its with help since I stink in math), but I have a tendency to run out of space fast. Mainly after writs.......

Hello! Welcome to ESO! Sure, so to make a mule, you don't need a second account or anything! You just need to create a secondary character! When you are on the character select screen, you should see the option to create another character! There is no need to create a whole entire other account just for mules - you can simply create the additional characters on the account that you already have!
I, unfortunately, do not have any experience with creating multiple ESO accounts, so I'm afraid I won't be able to help you there!

I remember in Morrowind, first thing I’d do is take this one guy’s house in Balmora I believe. The one similar to the one someone was found dead
"Leet" mod to Mailbox Storage: Wait for the bi-annual 'free ESO' promo, and make another account - won't cost a thing! Make a character there to send mail to, and get the Postmaster plugin. Turn on the mail Auto-Return in that plugin. Now whenever you send mail to that character with "RETURN" in the Subject (or BOUNCE or RTS), as soon as that character opens their mail, all of the RETURN messages will be sent back to you, automagically. (Make sure there's enough gold in their bank to over the return 'postage'.) Just remember to log that character in before their mail gets deleted.
They definitely need to make more space - a sticker book for housing items, maybe.

Eso needs a companion app where you can move inventory around like Destiny has. What's worse than trying to store everything is trying to keep track of where it all is

Are writs accessible with the base game or do they require a certain expansion? I have quite a few Tel Var Stones that seem to be unusable because I can’t reach the Imperial City, so I’m hoping writs might be a good alternative for acquiring storage chests.
Mailbox inventory... if you have a friend who's quit playing email things to that friend. 30 days later they come back.

Haha what exactly are you holding onto? I’m quite the hoarder myself (since I like to resell old items for tons of profit) but I’ve been able to more or less comfortably hang on to everything fine with these methods.
How does one organize all the sets? It’s so frustrating to scroll through hundreds of items just to see if you have all the pieces of a set. Why can’t things be sorted by sets?
I’m not sure if you play on PC, but there are addons that can help organize the inventory UI that you can use. I just use the search tool (there is one built in to the base game) myself to quickly sort my wares and look up sets.
I need a whole a** bank just for master writs and surveys. And yeah, I've got 3 notable houses maxed out with furniture. Would love to decorate them but simply can't. And while we're at it, can we raise the ridiculously low caps on furnishings? Especially the Specials and Collectibles. It's kind of pathetic that I can earn more trophys and busts than I can display.

Inventory management is the real Endgame.
Originally when I started this game all those years ago I was mainly a pver, so you didn't need that many sets to play with and life was less complicated
NOW I'm predominantly a pvper with 16 fully maxed out toons that are all different classes both mag and stam. Life in ESO is a lot more complicated now as the change in META gear sets seems to happen weekly and it's a strain on my inventory to keep up. SIGH such is life.

Create new accounts. Pc ps or xbox. Create characters for the new account. Get enough writs to purchase chests for them. Then just mail your mats to them.
As a non eso plus member this is by FAR THE BEST STRATEGY.
Let’s just say the only reason to have ESO+ is the craft bag and the discounted prices in the crown store. They need to open up more of the storage bins for all that buy gloss

I have a issue where I put my items in a chest (coffer) or bank and they just go back in my player craft bag or player inventory. And my chest or bank becomes empty again? I have eso + New player !! Any idea what's going on and my I cant store things in a chest (coffer) or bank without this happening :(

I'd recommend maxing out your inventory and bank space for sure! You are going to need it!
ESO + is what keeps me from returning... i shouldn't have to fork over $ just to be able to manage inventory space and be a crafter. I'm willing to bet this system keeps a lot of us old timers away. I reinstalled after leaving about a year ago and just felt totally dejected and left to play Skyrim VR lol.
I think it keeps a lot of people paying but it also keeps a lot of us who used to pay away, and that's because we understand how much of a burden managing the inventory is, even WITH ESO+ it was a pain in the arse.
