      Thanks, Sam! You might remember that Christie put in a video for one of our KAL collages. We were impressed by her worked and we happened to look up where she lived - then we had to ask her on. So glad we did. Love the creativity. A + A.

    Haha, Andrea, I loved hearing you say "go to town on" fabric selection. I thought that was an American south saying. I had a good chuckle at that! Keep up your wonderful work with the podcast. Thanks for all the information, entertainment and community.

    Hello guys:
    I wanted to thank u for the amazing work u do. My name is Hiromis, I am from Cuba and I am a very passionate knitter. I was told how to crochet when I was 6 and a year ago, I learn how to knit, thanks to TH-cam. U and Mina from the expand podcast had been my inspiration, especially now, that i am back in Cuba (I was in India) and I cannot knit or crochet at all (is easier to find a glacial here than yarn), so I am very very frustrated right now but one day I hope I will b available to make beautiful garments like u. I wish u all the luck with the show and as I said before, I am really grateful for it, so keep it on. Bye!

    That dress is adorable! And such a clever design. I love that it is gently fitted with no darts.
    Christie"s knitting and crochet are very beautiful. I am wondering where she sources her yarn. I live in Thailand and sources for yarn are very limited. I suppose, though, since she is in Australia, ordering by mail is not a problem. Here, I would have to import yarn.
    I've compromised and started a project in hemp, which is locally available, but not the best for garments. Maybe one day I will try knitting in silk, but that will have to wait for a time when I feel I deserve a treat, as it is very expensive, even here in Thailand.
    I am wondering if you can put in a life line when doing FairIsle knitting. I haven't tried Fair Isle myself and I think I would need something to keep the row count and also be able to rip back rather than tink. And what about stitch markers. I never see anyone using stitch markers on Fair Isle?
    Careful with that ball of yarn, Extreme Knitter! I think Andrew needs a little wrist bag or over the shoulder bag for outdoor knitting. My, I am being bossy today!
    What is that thing Romi Hill said she used to block a sweater, a wooly...something?

    • @FruityKnitting
      @FruityKnitting  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Joyce, glad you enjoyed the show again. Christie's work is very inspiring. If you go to our show notes fruityknitting.com you can get her contact details and ask her where she sources her yarn. I think you can use a lifeline in any form of knitting that you wish to, as well as stitch markers. Especially if it gives you more peace of mind. Happy Knitting. Andrea x

    I really enjoyed this podcast. You do such a great job putting the videos together and interviewing, that your videos stand head and shoulders above the rest. I am definitely going to become a patron. Because I enjoy both lace knitting and sewing, this episode was especially enjoyable for me. Christie’s interview was delightful and Romi’s was very informative. Romi puts so much thought and artistic skill into her designs. I have this book and am working on the cover pullover. I want to make a couple of other items in it as well. Living close to Romi in Carson City, Nevada, I’ve run into her a couple of times at our local yarn store. She’s a lovely creative person and I love her work. Please continue with these outstanding videos. I love it that you and Andrew enjoy the same hobby and you two are so cute together. I ‘m off to patreon.com to become a patron. Thank you.

    Andrea I would love to know what knitting patterns you are dreaming about while you are in this period of forced rest. for instance do you have books with pages turned down and yarn types and colors all imagined.

      Hi Jane, I'm going to knit the simple Tee from Romi next. At the moment I'm not making myself crazy by looking at yarn and planning projects. I would get too depressed if I do that. I'm distracting myself with sewing until I can start knitting again. Glad you enjoyed the interview, thanks for your comment.
