I’ve been watching your TH-cam videos and I’m really impressed with the quality and informativeness of your content. Since you’re an expert on LED technology, I have a question regarding a product I’m developing. I’m working on a design that features two 16x16 RGBW WS2812B matrices mounted in a 2" thick shadow box. These LEDs will serve as backlighting for the contents of the frame. I’m considering using something like a SP630E controller for its simplicity and the convenience of its remote. However, I’m concerned about running these matrices on a 5V 15A power supply. My worry is that if the controller allows full brightness, it might exceed the power supply’s capacity, as I would ideally need closer to 30 amps. I want to avoid using a bulky industrial power supply to keep the product looking clean and consistent with typical household items. Is there a controller you would recommend that offers easy remote operation and also allows me to preset a maximum brightness? This would help ensure that the system doesn’t draw more than 15 amps and maintains a clean, consumer-friendly appearance. I hope that makes sense. I’m looking for a solution that combines user-friendly control with a way to limit power consumption effectively. Thank you for your help! Best regards,
If you use an ESP32 or 8266 based controller running WLED, you can set the maximum current draw for the lights in the settings, an additional safety measure would be to install a fuse on the strip, so if for some reason someone accidentally changed the current draw the fuse would blow and protect your psu. Any controller using WLED should be able to do this. I hope this helps. Sorry for the delay in giving you an answer. Thanks for your support!
I didn't, i may try and revisit this topic in a future video. There have been several iterations of WLED since I made that video, so who knows, it may now be possible. Thanks for dropping a line!
I did everything here (Great video Btw) but when I generate the Image, pretty much everything gets assigned white color, have tried different amount of frames and configurations, but same result, any idea? Thanks
Sometimes it can be a bit hit and miss, im not sure why it does that. I wish I had an answer for you. I will keep working with these and if I can find a good solution I'll post an upset video. Thanks for your comment!
Another great, helpful video. Will be trying it this weekend. Many thanks. Dave
You're welcome Dave. If you have any questions, just let me know!
Next level. 👍
Thanks fella, it's actually pretty cool what you can do. Also, it's a lot easier than people think.
Cool video! I would like to add, a nice shortcut to duplicate a layer you just press Ctrl + J.
Great tip, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for this! When I save, I keep getting Syntax Error: The string did not match the expected pattern. Any ideas what might be going on?
That's a great question, I also experienced a couple of issues like that. I will probably do another video on this when I get a chance.
Hola si el color no es exacamente el que se muestra como se hace para corregirlo
Can you elaborate?
Did you ever figure a way to show multiple animations... i.e. a playlist og playlists... :P

is it possible to play gifs in a TFT ili9431 display instead of led matrix ?
That's a great question, and one I wish I had an answer for.

great video, but when I click on GENERATE, it gives me an INTERNAL SERVER ERROR. Any ideas on why, thanks.
At what point in the video exactly? Let me know and I'll look into it.
Can it be combined with the P5 RGB matrix module?
Sorry for the late response, I don't think the P5 panel can be controlled with WLED at this time, it requires coding Arduino coding.
there seems to be a slight delay when the loop is restarted, maybe cause i have 12 frames but IDK.
Hmm, i'll have to look into that, I haven't noticed it.
Nvm I think my first and last frame were identical lol
That'll do it alright lol@@ADDUB_
Gif with a J. Why? Because the guy that invented said that’s the way you say it. Done.
- JIF 👍🏼
Too funny
