@Eilatj Ellat you can't imagine how much energy and effort cost me to sing by paying attentions to the tens of shades and details of their singing which they sang so natural and spontaneous... Believe me these guys were ALIENS!
Hi Galeazzo, my mother was a guitar player with a wonderful natural ear. She helped me figure out the chords and some harmonies (If I Fell) to Beatles songs so I could play them in my band. But you bring up a point that many people miss; when people sing songs that John wrote, they often sing Paul's harmonies as though they were the melody. John did this unique thing where he sang low melody that sounds like, if it was up one octave, would have been the harmony. Thanks for all your hard work!!
@imcarrying I believe you! You're allowing me to discover just how incredibly genial they were. After years and years of listening to these songs, you've uncovered an entirely different level for us to appreciate. Makes me love "The Boys" even more. How do you do it? What's your process? And again, thanks so much for your generosity and opening these new worlds to us!!
Great stuff as always! Thank you! For my vocal cover of this song, I recorded Johns lead as he did in the original by slowing the backing track down to 90% speed and then speed my vocal back up to 100% speed. This creates that almost artificial sounding higher pitch vocal. The backing harmonies are sung as normal. Thanks again GF!
This is the first of your videos I have watched, and may I just say that you've got quite an impressive voice! There's not many people that could sing an entire 4-part harmony all by themselves! ;)
I can't wait to listen to the "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" Vocals!! :D I love it how it blends the higher vocals and matches the harmony with the background trumpets; and then the trumpets fade out. It's like if the vocals "go somewhere" and then the trumpets "bring it back" :]
Man, I don't know I missed you in my TH-cam during for Beatles songs/tutorials. You really nail these some very subtle parts that are tough to hear. In this one, the additional backing harmonies I missed all together. I thought it was just John/John (verse) John (George/Paul on ooohs during chorus), and John/Paul on bridge. Thanks a lot for helping me add those small (but important) missing elements!
By the way, great vocal performance and detection of the details of the brilliant singing in this song, such a great section of backing vocals in this song, this song itself is a bit underrated if it's possible and makes any sense.
Are there a few parts where John's voice is doubled without any harmony? Sounds amazing by the way... Thank you for this video my friend!! All you need is Love and TH-cam!!
My admiration, Galeazzo, I wonder how could you peel off every singing part like that? They did it now (Nov. 2023) with Now And Then, they got to extract only John's voice from a tape, but with advanced tech, and I think you do everything just by ear.
Gale, I'm about to cut a demo and I was going to put a couple of Beatles covers on, but now you've spoilt me for choice!!! You're sooo good at what you do please keep them coming and can I make a request for Somebody To Love by Queen?? Thanks a million!!
Revolver is definitely one of their finest albums but I love anything the beatles did pretty much and if I had to name a favorite album I'd end up with half of their discography atleast.
Your version appears to be better vocalized than the original, while they sound as if they were indeed half-asleep perhaps not even taking full breaths

"keeping an eye on the world going by my window"
always loved that. the harmony there plus the words.
great work!
Absolutely great job. The cleanest ooo's and the "by my window" is so clean
Perfect job teaching a perfect song! I think this is an example of the highest peaks of songcraft.
It's my favorite Beatles song. (I'm pretty sure. Strawberry Fields Forever was HUGELY important to me ...)
@Eilatj Ellat you can't imagine how much energy and effort cost me to sing by paying attentions to the tens of shades and details of their singing which they sang so natural and spontaneous... Believe me these guys were ALIENS!
я помню в молодости, такая же мысль была
Vocals are played through a leslie speaker creating that beautiful sound.
Gale, you drive me crazy!!!! It's such intricate, amazing work you're doing for us!!!! Beautiful, just beautiful!!!
You sound like the beatles! It absolutely blows me away that you can sound like four people. You nailed it. absolutely brilliant.

That´s a very good song by Lennon and your tutorial is, as usual, perfect.
Splendid! Wonderful! Extraordinary!!
Maestro - you are awesome as always. Thank you!
Your singing voice reminds me a little bit of Robert Smith's of the Cure. Nice work:)
Thank you it's one of the next coming!
By the way, great vocal performance and detection of the details of the brilliant singing in this song, such a great section of backing vocals in this song, this song itself is a bit underrated if it's possible and makes any sense.

Revolver is definitely one of their finest albums but I love anything the beatles did pretty much and if I had to name a favorite album I'd end up with half of their discography atleast.
My favorite album of theirs fluctuates depending on the day and mood I'm in. It's nearly impossible to pick one album above the rest.
this made my day, thanks!
Nice video man. Your work is fantastic.
Very well done!!!
Amazing vocals.....one more time!
MY BRAIN! MY BRAIN! I CAN FEEL IT BLEEDING...
Your voice is amazing.
@babystinky I do not know.. The more I go through this the more I argue...
Amazing work. Thanks
Who sings the backing vocals when John sings "please don't spoil my day I'm miles away and after all I'm only sleeping"
Zovlo likely Paul, George, and Lennon with a vocal overdub
Impresionante maestro
Did you record double track for John's vocals? Great video! :D
Revolver= The best album of all time
Perfect, you are the best¡¡¡
Can you do "I want to tell you" from revolver? Please and thanks :)

@cubbyguy1 This one is great too, but i stay with Revolver and Abbey Road
Your version appears to be better vocalized than the original, while they sound as if they were indeed half-asleep perhaps not even taking full breaths
Thanks Lidia!
I think that "half-asleep" feel you state only adds the the overall emotion of the song. I love it!
RainbowSound1 I'm pretty sure sounding half asleep was the point
That's a compliment ;)
