You did a wonderful job of singing this beautiful, simple yet complicated song. This song is one of the reasons "Rubber Soul" is one of the greatest albums of all time. Please keep up the good work.
I absolutely love your videos! Damn, I've never though The Beatles were so complex musically speaking. You break it all down and it just shows us how amazing they were! And you, sir, are amazing as well!
Absolutely refreshing tutorials, ALL of them!!. I have had the pleasure of jamming with many professional Beatle tribute players in America who played with bands from The Fab 4, Liverpool Legends and American English as a guitarist for rehearsals but was never able to inquire on these wonderful harmonies they performed. Thank you for breaking them down with the finesse and feel of which they so rightfully deserve from one who fully appreciates the depth of soul from where they were born. Please continue to help others find and share the experience.
Man your videos are the best. I can't believe you know The Beatles as well as you do. Well, not the "Beatles" but their incredible harmonies. The Beatles are the best band ever and they will live forever. Keep the good work up and remember don't listen to haters.
Hi Galeazzo! Great work as always. As you know, Cynthia Lennon passed away recently, and in the news reports they say John never wrote a song for her. However, I seem to remember seeing an interview with her many years ago, where she says that Girl was about her.
That’s interesting, I heard that Girl was actually about Yoko, but then again I think Rubber Soul was released a few months before John and Yoko met so idk
@@olliedylan1381 Late reply but yes, John and Yoko met 1966 and this song was from 1965. Maybe it's about Cynthia but it could also have been about another affair
Aah, thanks dear sir Galeazzo! You are very talented! I would highly appreciate you breaking down what is in my opinion one of the finest early tunes by The Beatles, "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party." Thank you once again, your videos have really helped me to cover Beatles tunes.
Hi, Galeazzo, I'm from Brazil. And I'm sharing at Facebook some of your videos and marking friends to know your nice job. I love Beatles, I just have gone to a Paul concert here in São Paulo this week, and I've decided to post In My Life in my Facebook to talk about the show. While I was looking for that video on facebook, I found your In My Life vocal video version. I was so amazed that I started immediately to watch a lot of your videos just to know better your job. At the end, I've posted Barbara Ann, lol... Anyway, today I've finally posted your In My Life version, recommending your job to some friends. Well, thank you a lot and... Bravo, Galeazzo! Bravo! :)
That "leaning" that you speak of, otherwise known as a type of vocal phrasing and timing in relation to the tempo was a signature talent of Frank Sinatra. He learned a lot about vocal phrasing while working with Tommy Dorsey and later with Harry James. It's was very common of horn players to utilize that style and Sinatra did it better than anyone!!

sfdrummer68 You are right essentially, but it's more the signature of "Swing" music (which Dorsey, Goodman, or any of the big bands played (I think it's most noticeable in songs played by Count Basie & orch. in the 40s and 50s)). Whether you are playing a "lead" instrument like piano or guitar, or a vocal, it involves just being ever so slightly behind what the rhythm would be. For example, if a note would be sung/played on the downbeat normally, giving it a swing style, the note would lag just slightly behind the downbeat.
it is strange Lennon didn't like his voice. I like Paul's songs but I like Lennon's voice much more. Twist and shout, girl- i like john's voice in these songs
You have an incredible voice and your tutorial is very well done. I play piano, so I can appreciate your talent. Pleasure to my ears. Bravo, bravo, bravo!! Well done. Thank you so much!!
I'm also a pro Band player but I really appreciate your style. You have the expertise and perfection of the song.Sounds your from Russia or some neighboring states across.Excellent tutorials.
@@simonegabellini1989 it's funny I know he's Italian now but when I first heard his speaking voice I thought he was Russian also. My band mates all laughed at me when I sent them the TH-cam links telling them about this really great Russian guy breaking down Beatles vocal lines. Brandrooke Salva's comment has made me feel better
Simplesmente, a melhor interpretação dos Beatles que já ouvi. Suas aulas são muito didáticas e, por isso, fácil de aprender. See you later, aligator. Thank you very mutch.
This is truly amazing how you figure this stuff out. I've listened to it my whole life and have never been able to pick it apart like YOU do! How great. Do you have formal training?
siempre me cautivo el "tit" , me parece encantadora la armonia en sus partes y a traves de ti pude escuchar y aprender esa tecnica exelente ,muchas gracias ,te admiro y mucho
Thank-you so much for this. I've been intrigued by this song, especially the harmony of the word girl since I first heard it in 1966. I tried experimenting with a multi-track recorder. I still couldn't get it.Now I get it!
I swear you sound nearly identical to Lennon in the chorus its surreal, greetings from a mexican-american Beatles lover! videos are great keep up the good work!!
Hallo! Galleazzo Frudua!! Your videoclass is simply fantastic. You're helpning people for all the world. I am sorry but my English is very short. I hope you understand me. Congratulations from Brasil.
@popwwy It's difficult to explain I hear them and I initially hear them as a total mess then I listen and listen and then they suddenly appear to me as ... sort of tubes... running through the mess of the arrangement .. like 3d ... it's difficult to explain... Suddenly I see them and I can follow them... like you were able to see the water tubes inside the walls...
@mimibetinis No, but since I was very young I always sang over songs trying to figure out different vocals I think this had an importance. Curiously adding vocals on the Beatles songs ended up 99% of times in something that sounded worst than the original with a very very few exceptions
I see how the dit-dit-dit- part is tricky! It is tough maintaining the pace and then it is even tougher getting the second voice to stay completely in sync with the first voice. You are right ... not as easy as it looks!
Brilliant Job Galeazzo!!!!.... Thanx a lot, i've just found these really useful videos, keep going!!!!! is it possible to ask you to publish lessons for even other songs of the beatles???? Greetings from South America
Galazzo, i can not find the words to thank you!!!! seriously I have spended years trying to figure out beatles harmonies... gacias, grazie tantissimi grazie. Siempre he sido beatle fan y ahora soy tambien Galazzo fan. not joking. any tips to develope a good hearing?
Absolutely amazing! I have a question somewhat unrelated to harmonies. I can hear that the vocal tracks are processed. What effects and EQ presets are you using to make this wonderful dry, narrow and clean sound? Thanks in advance!
Do you think you could do lessons on how to make a guitar sound like a sitar in some of George's songs?

One of the best performance! I'm a big Beatles Fan and I play a lot of this songs. I looked for "how to play .... with guitar" but the single voices I never found! Since yesterday I found your channel. Thanks a lot! Great Work!
@BlitzkriegMcBlitz95 What you mean exactly. There was a comapny in Germany who sold a special brdige you could use to make a guitar sound like a sitar. PM me I'll tell you the name.
I believe you're Italian aren't you? My wife, her younger sister, brother and his family are in Italy right now. Yesterday they visited Venice, the day before Rome. Actually, they are staying in Cuggiono as that is where their family is from. Anyway, I think you did a great job on this classic song by the Beatles. I'm going to learn it myself. Thank you.
I love all your Beatles videos, Galeazzo, but I have to ask you: how can you tell which Beatle is singing what? I have listened to them for 50 years and I can't tell--especially on the harmonies and double-tracks. How can you tell?
Great to hear from you! You are performing a terrific service for millions of Beatles fans around the world. Thank you. Have you heard the version of "Tomorrow Never Knows" on the Anthology? (Not the version on Revolver.) This, to me, is their second-most amazing recording, after "Rain." It would be cool if you could do a video on this version. Many thanks again!
galeazzo, do you know on which beatles albums you can hear a lot of john's voice alone ? and next question if you don't mind, do you know how many solo albums john wrote on his own and what are your favourite ones ?
I am not a fan of John's solo career but you can find tons on info on the web. You can hear John's solo voice in a lot of the first 2 albums isolated on the right channel check 'em out!
Hey, I play guitar and Im interested in learning more about vocal harmonies like those and from other bands. Like those bands from the 50s... Any suggestions on what singers should I listen to if I want to learn something about those interpretation techniques? Thanks

I love the first line of girl. It's like the emotion is pouring from lennon about someone he feels so hurt over.
i like his voice there
exactly man
around 5:32 .... damn,, If i was blindfolded id swear that was Lennon.. you're videos are great.. really good voice you have
Thank you!
Rubber Soul was sung manually without the aid of studio doubling. Galeazzo shows us how talented the Beatles were to sing in this manner.
Your knowledge of English vocal form is very impressive, and you have a beautiful voice to boot. I really enjoyed this!
This is one of my favorite “John songs”. As expected, you break it down masterfully to allow one’s ears to hear more within the song! Thank you!!
You did a wonderful job of singing this beautiful, simple yet complicated song. This song is one of the reasons "Rubber Soul" is one of the greatest albums of all time.

Francisco Saiz Hi Francisco thansk a lot . Did you enjoy Paul's concert. IMO there are concerts and then there is Paul McCartney..
@mimibetinis ahaha it's not me or anyone else :) it's the Beatles songs for some reasons are untouchable. They sort of can't be improved.
You help us understand why we love them so much, thanks a lot.

True....but there is more variation in notes in one small section of this one Beatles song than Frank used in his whole career.
Thank you - nice work.
