Good content Jake. Really like the videos and the way they are thought out. The 15-17 cars are a great value and very well put together. Our 15 Vert was purchased in January 2015 and has been a blast. It is actually our company car and my wife's daily driver. I drive the car quite a bit for running errands at work and trips to the store on weekend and evenings. The car has grown on me so much I actually take it to some of the local meets here instead of my GT500. Got rid of the single rod hood rod and got the RedLine Tuning Hood QuickLIFT ELITE System. I am also in Southern Cali.
Bassini cat back exhaust and the Ford stage II intake +tune brought a ton of more low end torque increase and more top end power. Until I can go to 305 tires I don't want any more power. GT 2015 PP was the starting point with BFG summer only tires (I grew to dislike the Perrelli P-zero tires)
Just bought one with performance package exactly like yours with black interior and a manual definitely worth it in my opinion ( super hard to find for the right price )
SonyCamry I’m 18, and with just 7 months working 50 hours a week in construction I was able to bank $15,000 and finally buy an s550 myself! I get to drive it home from the dealership this Friday and boy am I ever excited!
This car looks fantastic, that color and setup is exactly how i would get it. Black on black all day long. I would buy a 4 years old model with low mileage as the price is great and you get all the bells and whistles. Just don't know if it would be a wise option for Canadian winters.
"One of the better." I'll go one step further and come right and say it is one of the most beautiful cars ever to be put into production and that I have ever laid my eyes on. From every aspect of Design it is a homerun.
Doy Rayburn I honestly think it is the best value of any new car ever in production....i said that when it first came out and I stand by that. Ford really stepped up their game in 2015
Hi Jake, I have the same car black on black 15 PP with manual but mine is a Roush RS2 with a phase 1 blower package. I love this car and can`t wait to drive it every single day but I do live in Chicago so no winter driving. Had to put a clutch in mine at 39k but that is because 727 HP is a rocket ship. Imagine the tires roasting in 4 gears. You will need to re- learn to drive one from stock. Only one unexpected failure was the reverse lock out came apart but Steeda make a billet one thats a easy fix. People on the road pull up all the time and say ( Beautiful ride man) and thumbs up from most every mustang on the road. Only one guy didn`t like it only because I blew past him at about 60 with tires on fire. LOL
7:48 - 8:34 And do you know the reason for that? Modern performance cars are aimed at prestige instead of actual performance. Like you said "if I pay DOUBLE the price and the engine sounds isn't there, why should I go for it?", because more and more people don't care how their car drives or feels, but instead only care about much prestige it gives them... Sadly, people like you who want a good car for their money are dieing out. I for one know what my next car is gonna be :)
Just purchased a 2020 velocity blue GT coupe, base model 301A package, I0 speed auto. I am having heated seats put in before pick up. I am driving about 300 miles to pick it up In Maryland The selection were i live is not good, there are more convertibles and Ecoboost then V8's. The velocity blue seems rare around here, RI, Northeast . I am 52. I always wanted one back in 1988. I ended up with a Chevy Camaro RS 6 cylinder. The Iroc was nice too. I couldn't afford at the time being 19. Having cold feet now, lol. I like my 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Z71 that I am trading in. No more mini vans, explorers, Ford focus, ect, kids are older and have their own cars. Its just me. My wife drives a BMW X2. Iam going to consider this a test run to see if I like the Mustang. I only test drove one. I retire in 8 years. If I like the car 🚗 i might get a new GT 350, or a used GT 500 as a 🎁 to myself. I might have to get a used pick up 4x4 for the winter. New England weather. My mind is mixed right now.
That’s great congrats! I have the 2015 GT PP manual transmission and would love to have an 18+ 10 speed, different car all together. So you haven’t missed much last few years!
Bought one in 2016 in the UK, everything about the car is fantastic, except you have to train yourself never to look out of the side windows, because whenever you are pulled up at the lights the person next to you is ALWAYS gorping at the car. And my one isn't even blue, its a dark red so much more subtle than the Grabber Blue. Dont know how those guys cope.
I’m 16 and am just drawn to the 2015 GT. I’m trying with all my will and power to convince my gear head dad. He had a 1987 Transam in his high school years so it would make sense for me to have a nice car to! If I was given a 2020 GT mustang or a 2015, it seems weird but I would choose the 2015, just a great car. Hopefully one day, I might pick back up from this comment to tell y’all if my dreams bacons fulfilled...
Pirelli P zeros are road racing tires thats why... They suck as street tires and for drag racing. But put it on a road coarse and you'll see why they are awesome.
Great Vid. Mine is a '16 V6 Turbo Boost and I love it Have had Mustangs since my first '66. Great info about the torque ratio of the V8. My V6 is hot off the line but top end lacks.......But it's adequate, no comparison to my Cobra, but no complaints. Thanks and wishing you well.
Also owner of 2015 premium. Agree that low end power a bit disappointing. Everything else held up perfect for ( years have 49,555 miles. Original Pirelii tires indeed sucked-replaced with Firestone Indy 500 and never looked back.
Same here. Daily driver. My criteria for Selection: V8, automatic, premium, coupe, NOT in black or white (Looks always dirty😀). In Switzerland there ist a Speed Limit of 120 km/h on motorway, but Germany is round the corner if I want to go faster.
Just so you know, by doing the ford performance pack 2, (gt350 cold air intake, gt350 throttle body, and tune from ford) it changes the bottom end of the car entirely. Makes it have the torque you were talking about it lacking.
Pirelli tires ALWAYS wear out between 10k-12k. Every mod you do to that Mustang will LOWER the resale value. Be happy with it FACTORY STOCK and get 4 matched tires asap.
I love my vw to death, the sound of the vr6 is a beautiful one but it has to go. Just got a new job and was looking to try American muscle for the first time. Your video solidified my choice. Mustang here I come. :)
Ive been wanting to go the american muscle route for years. Ive owned 2 cars making 500rwhp, nissan 300zx and nissan 350z. Were a blast but way to much $$ to build and maintain. Owned Lexus is350, bmw 335i(nightmare), and Infiniti g37(so reliable). Only shelling out my portfolio of cars because Im buying a car this week having never owned American(aside from pick up trucks). Was dead set on another Infiniti q50...nice looking, decent power-333hp, lots of tech, and most of all such a smooth comfortable ride. With that all being said...I wish I wouldn't have come across this video. I found a 15'gt premium, black on black for 17k and 65k miles. Drooling. This vid made the craving worst. The only thing holding me back is reliability. Is this a car I can depend on past 100k miles or will I have to start shelling out big dollars to replace a, b, a , d c(like a german engineered POS). Any opinions are welcomee.
My dream car is a 6 gen gt manual but don’t know what year is the best man in reliability. I just want it stock and own it for many years. Great mustang bro 😎👍🏻
@@davidholloway9349 headers, exhaust, air intake, tune and E85 gives me the 498 I would assume filling with 91 as thats all whats around me will give me 20ish HP less (have to go to Toronto to get E85) and by the time I have drove back it would be gone lol
Absolutely love the car man, in my opinion the S550 Mustang is the best looking Mustang ever made. I seriously think you should force feed it. Just make sure to take us along for the ride. Love the channel, love the content, keep up the good work. Stay safe.
Thanks Chivos! I think I will do it, or either wait for the 2018s to show up on the used market with a Roush supercharger already installed, 10 speed auto and mag ride... should make a good daily!
@@traviswebster8302 oh yeah i get you , i had a whole list on stuff i wanna do if i go with an S550. My plans were to start off small and learn about the car and upgrade from there. If i go 11-14 i was gonna do alot of BMR stuff , watts link etc
I am 15 and I’m getting my license at 16 this has been my favorite car since forever and I just talked with my mom and she said if I work and put in some of the money for the car that she could buy it for me. I really hope I get to buy it 🙏 Edit: it will be a 2015 mustang which is now going for like 15-18,000 where I live
I always wanted a Mustang when I was a kid. Back then, all the kids with cash were driving the fox body 5.0 cars. I finally bought a Mustang last year and I love it. If you can do it, kid, go for it.
Mine is a 2015 GT with Performance Package (completely stock). In 2017 I had to pay Ford $2,000 to replace the A/C Evaporator and 2 weeks ago, an air valve just hit the piston due to broken spring. The Engine is totally damaged. I learned later there is some recurrence in both damages, and Ford does nothing to fix for good. A rebuilt Engine cost $12.5K installed. I just can't afford this crap. I have to junk the car with "only" 86,000 miles. I lost too much money and my love for Mustangs forever. Never again. Worst decision ever.
You know bro I was thinking about getting a gt over the new 400z but everybody keeps telling me the the gt build quality is terrible an try to avoid.... huh so looks like the Z I’m getting an I just feel like BMWs not work 60k for an in-line 6 over a 28k gt with 400+ hp an a V8.
The more research i do, the more i come across stories like this about them. It's either never had an isssue and it's a great car or everything that could go wrong does. Crazy.
Id rather have S197 body style but i like the suspension of the s550. Sooooooo happy with the new 5.0 Coyote motor. The flat crank v8 just pulls and pulls. I see so many ppl short shifting it. That motors meant to be revved out to 7krpm. Fords really putting alot of thought and desighn into their cars. I also have a ford edge sport 3.6 twin turbo ecoboost that goes like hell. I beat cts, infinity and Audis easily. Shes a sleeper for sure.
Back in 15 I saw a black on black PP in the showroom of my local dealer. I had been out of the loop, and into trucks for 4 years. Well I fell in love, and after much research, I decided to go gently used. That's how I ended up with a Shelby.
If I wasn't so impulsive I would have bought a 13-14' Shelby also, I just got fixated and didn't take a long look at my options. Seems like you made a great choice. I'll have to drive on at some point!
I agree with what you said. You do get a good bang for your buck with this car. But for longevity reasons, and execpt for the MT 82 issues, i would just keep the mustang at 500 hp max.
Just ordered a 2021 premium gt performance pack for literally all the reasons you mentioned lol. Was looking at the supra but the dollar per horsepower is simply unbeatable in the mustang my goodness I keep getting dragged back to it so I was like fuck it let’s do it
Hey there... Good vid, as always. Heh, the 405 and the 10 freeways are so gridlocked, that I only use em after midnight if I want to drive with any satisfaction. Same with the 5. The 210 is really the only freeway where one can drive 80+mph during normal hours, I reckon... I’m at Galpin Ford as I write this, waiting on an oil change. And they STILL don’t have a 2018 GT in the show room!! What?!? Anyway, keep doin’ the Lord’s work 👍
Yeah its crazy! Even at 5:00am there is flowing traffic at like 80mph haha. Galpin, I bought my first new car there... Fiesta ST. Funny that you happen to mention the 2018 Mustang and Galpin, I was almost going to drive up there to see what they have in stock but not without asking around first. Glad you answered! They should have more than anyone you would think! Thank You Thank You
Jake Tiesler 👍 yep, I was stunned. All 2017s in the showroom, though there was a sweet 2017 GT350 in there. Across the street as Galpin Auto Sports, there was a 2014 Boss 302, I believe, modded and looking, well, boss! Anyway, my $50 oil change turned into $400 expenditure, for timing belt (65,000 miles, it was time, I guess), brake flush and other $$ whatnots. Car is purring righteously now, so I guess it’s what we want as Mustang heads 🤣. Thanks again, Jake...
I wonder what mine is I have the brown and black leather seats with heat and cooling but also line lock and track apps etc with the auto trans and it’s a 15
I used to own a Mustang GT, but the intake manifold went bad. Ford had a "Secret" recall on them and by the time I found out about it I had replaced it on my own dime.
get Michelin's I had among my 2014 and go to pro charger with that motor and you'll cook it easily lots of torque lots of power you'll be real happy if you do that or go get AR Whipple charger
Good review Jake! Down to earth, had everything what an everyday guy would be curious about. Been love with these cars, since they came out, and honestly, the 2015-17 chassis looks way better than the new one (for me). I'm planning on buying one: 2015-16, iconic silver, analogue dash, without wing etc, but still have at least 3 years before I can afford it. Thing is that, it won't be easy to find one here in Europe, so most likely it will be imported from the US. Do you guys have any advice for good, used car webpages in the US, you browse before buying cars?
Mustang6g.com classifieds has more enthusiast owned vehicles - I would go there because random used lots has a lot of mustangs non enthusiast owned who may have been used harder
I have the same exact car, same package. Love it. At 37k miles now. I’m sure you’ve “redlined” a few times here and there...and noticed all your instrument gauges flash RED until you shift gear. Recently all my gauges stopped flashing red and only the tachometer does. Any insight?
I can’t get a 5.0 I’m a risky high risk driver. I know myself. 3 speeding tickets in a year with 2 cell phone tickets. One more ticket I loose my license I pay 4,000$ a year extra just to drive. :( should I get a eco boost?
Good vid. I have the triple blk base GT 2017. My tires are still almost like new and it has 10k. Although they do suck really bad in every possible way. Car looks good although I didn't see the value the Premium model. I would invest in a better exhaust. Good looking car.
i have my 2008 mustang premium GT still runs great but still look at if/when I upgrade which model should i invest in a lot have told me 2018 is a good model. Yours seems very good too.
I agree. This new Mustang is a a great car. Only thing I don't like is all the electronic "key" stuff. Too much computer junk. Old school is more reliable. But that is the way of all new car and it sucks..
I’d rather have old American muscle than these new electronic filled cars. One thing goes wrong u think it’s 100 different things. Just a lot cheaper and looks a lot better with old classic muscle cars. But I will admit the new charger/challengers and also the new corvettes are very very nice. But mustangs I have to go with a 68 Boss

I wasnt a fan of the style when they first came out but it quickly grew on me
Me a 19 year old working 4 days a week watching this as if I’m gonna buy it. 😂
😅😢😭
You can def get into a used one with 30-40k miles for a good deal bro. You'll get there 👍🏽

@@non-ofyo-business3399 Nice car!
Bought my 2015 GT with 14k miles. Have owned it now for 16 months and love the car!
Rich Moore thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the feedback
Just bought one with performance package exactly like yours with black interior and a manual definitely worth it in my opinion ( super hard to find for the right price )
Definitely get a JLT oil separator. Works great, catches a lot of oil
Nice, thanks for the feedback and stopping by!
JLT 3.0 catch cam is a must have Mod.....!!
Yeah it really catches a lot of oil I couldn't believe it
I test drove one yesterday, first time i ever drove a v8, it was just so damn fun, i loved it.
I have $1,000 in my bank account right now but somehow, i don't knw how, by the end of this year i will have this car.
Then you will! Get after it!
Just be realistic and don't get in financial trouble for a car.
Can’t forget about the insurance too lol but good luck.
Me too!
SonyCamry I’m 18, and with just 7 months working 50 hours a week in construction I was able to bank $15,000 and finally buy an s550 myself! I get to drive it home from the dealership this Friday and boy am I ever excited!
i have my 2016 for 4 years already its cool
This car looks fantastic, that color and setup is exactly how i would get it. Black on black all day long. I would buy a 4 years old model with low mileage as the price is great and you get all the bells and whistles. Just don't know if it would be a wise option for Canadian winters.
"One of the better." I'll go one step further and come right and say it is one of the most beautiful cars ever to be put into production and that I have ever laid my eyes on. From every aspect of Design it is a homerun.
Doy Rayburn I honestly think it is the best value of any new car ever in production....i said that when it first came out and I stand by that. Ford really stepped up their game in 2015
Just purchased a 2015GT with 11k miles, love it.
Same exact one as in the video.
I just bought a 2015 mustang literally exactly like yours just with more miles 30k miles i love it lol
How much did you get it for?
Let me know!!
I like all the exterior except the headlights. They aren’t bad, I just really like the round style without the extra lines.
Great review cant wait to get my hands on one!
Pirelli P zeros are road racing tires thats why... They suck as street tires and for drag racing. But put it on a road coarse and you'll see why they are awesome.
Working my ass off to get myself a 2018 GT 5.0L and then slap on those Corsa Xtreme Exhausts. Fire.
Just bought one. Love it!
This was the only spec we got here in the UK for the 5.0, so it's all good ☺️👍🏻
I have a 2016 5.0 with an automatic. I love it.
Same here. Daily driver. My criteria for Selection: V8, automatic, premium, coupe, NOT in black or white (Looks always dirty😀). In Switzerland there ist a Speed Limit of 120 km/h on motorway, but Germany is round the corner if I want to go faster.
all the car lingo was gibberish to me but your voice is so calming 😻
Great Video! Having owned nothing but imports you have really convinced me to switch over!
WiZaRd Of AsS oh God no! Stay with the imports, I heard the new Supra is cool
david martin Naw the new Supra is actually a BMW Z4. It’s just Supra in name.
JUSTSWITCHED! Well as long as it’s not a mustang
Just so you know, by doing the ford performance pack 2, (gt350 cold air intake, gt350 throttle body, and tune from ford) it changes the bottom end of the car entirely. Makes it have the torque you were talking about it lacking.
This is the Mustang I’m dying for!
Pirelli tires ALWAYS wear out between 10k-12k. Every mod you do to that Mustang will LOWER the resale value. Be happy with it FACTORY STOCK and get 4 matched tires asap.
Good video, good judgement, good taste in car
I love my vw to death, the sound of the vr6 is a beautiful one but it has to go. Just got a new job and was looking to try American muscle for the first time. Your video solidified my choice. Mustang here I come. :)
where did you get your front license plate mount?
I think they are decently reliable as long as you don’t treat it bad, rag it out. My reverse camera went out, that’s about it really 35k but I baby it
Awesome video mate, cheers for sharing!
My dream car is a 6 gen gt manual but don’t know what year is the best man in reliability. I just want it stock and own it for many years. Great mustang bro 😎👍🏻
I have a 2016 with a few small upgrades and Dyno tested at 498 HP ... I can roast tires easy at 1000rpm and even with 435 you could roast em easy
Basketball Coach Allen how did you boost your horsepower bro I’m looking into buying a gt 2015 just to upgrade it
@@davidholloway9349 headers, exhaust, air intake, tune and E85 gives me the 498 I would assume filling with 91 as thats all whats around me will give me 20ish HP less (have to go to Toronto to get E85) and by the time I have drove back it would be gone lol
plus mine has the performance pack
Did you install one of the Ford power packs? The power pack 3 for instance?
was a customer tune
Absolutely love the car man, in my opinion the S550 Mustang is the best looking Mustang ever made. I seriously think you should force feed it. Just make sure to take us along for the ride. Love the channel, love the content, keep up the good work. Stay safe.
Thanks Chivos! I think I will do it, or either wait for the 2018s to show up on the used market with a Roush supercharger already installed, 10 speed auto and mag ride... should make a good daily!
I'm saving up for an S550 GT!
Justin Thompson which year you going to go for?
@@traviswebster8302trying to go for 15-17! But at the same time the 13-14's are calling my name😅

@@traviswebster8302 oh yeah i get you , i had a whole list on stuff i wanna do if i go with an S550. My plans were to start off small and learn about the car and upgrade from there. If i go 11-14 i was gonna do alot of BMR stuff , watts link etc
Justin Thompson for sure, it’s a sick car. Im finna cop one for sure as soon as I have the means, although that starts with getting a license

I always wanted a Mustang when I was a kid. Back then, all the kids with cash were driving the fox body 5.0 cars. I finally bought a Mustang last year and I love it. If you can do it, kid, go for it.
Did u get it
For me, Any year model of stang gt is a keeper😎👍🏻
Even the echoboost?
TAIMOOR T stang gt, bro not EcoBoost
How about the previous gen, like 2013-2014?
Shit bro I’m super excited to get my used 2015 and I absolutely love mustang. But ur story just made me upset and now I fear
The more research i do, the more i come across stories like this about them. It's either never had an isssue and it's a great car or everything that could go wrong does. Crazy.
I have a 16 GT PP and my pirellis wore out fast too!
Jake Tiesler if you're ever in or near North Alabama I'll let you review mine. 👍
Im 19 5 more months and I’m dropping a stack on this car, I run a detailing company
I have to disagree with your comment that the Mustang isn’t a muscle car, it’s always been a muscle car in my humble opinion.
Sixwheel Carlisle according to automotive history they’re pony cars.
Brandon Miller Yes, but they can still be muscle cars too.
Its the original muscle car. Always has always will. The others copied the mustang
MrInzombia Damn-Skippy it is 😁🤓🇺🇸👍🏻👍🏻😎

I used to own a Mustang GT, but the intake manifold went bad. Ford had a "Secret" recall on them and by the time I found out about it I had replaced it on my own dime.
Brought an Orange Fury GT in the UK. Still rare over here, petrol isn’t cheap but it sounds so Cool 🍊😂👍🏻
I love my 17, BUT it needed a supercharger and Nitto 305’s on the back. Stock is NOT enough power
What supercharger for you get and how much rwhp?
I got a roush phase 2 kit, which they claim is 727HP. Never had it on a dyno but she goes

No issues at all for me. I wouldn’t say it was the most fun car to drive. It needed suspension, shifter and exhaust, seats.

Hey - cargurus
Mustang6g.com classifieds has more enthusiast owned vehicles - I would go there because random used lots has a lot of mustangs non enthusiast owned who may have been used harder
Great video Jake. great talker, great car. One question.. Whats your opinion on visuals for a hood scoop on the GT.
Don’t do it :)
what witchcraft am I watching, I clearly see the car in gear at 3:20 and your foot is off the clutch, how is it not moving and not stalled?
Engine was turned off.
Nice review 👍🏻!!

Love the great in depth review with your person experience! What’s your exhaust setup?
Ford Racing Sport Cat Back
i have my 2008 mustang premium GT still runs great but still look at if/when I upgrade which model should i invest in a lot have told me 2018 is a good model.
Any probs w/ the car? Drivetrain? Clutch? Engine? Electronics? Aesthetics? Do tell!
Reverse camera went out at 30k, front tires finally went, otherwise pretty solid
Great looking Mustang, man. I am going to go pick up a 2016 tomorrow. Getting excited. :)
