Hi, I’m still awake and loved that so much. I recommend a rose called Just Joey. A dreadful name with such beauty. It is gorgeous,lasts for ages in a vase and has a wonderful scent. Over the summer I was taken in my wheelchair around my garden. I just hope in some ways I will see another summer. After 60 years years I can say say this is my favourite. Thank you Kevin.

That was a nice, relaxing episode, Kevin. The blueberry Compote is something I have placed on my cullinary to-do list. The pancakes? Well....I'm used to golden brown pancakes... which is the only way I've had them in all my 56 years. Your gardens and property and restored house are beautiful and inviting as always. The chandelier is a real conversation piece, although using those large gloves to clean and handle something so delicate and irreplaceable seemed almost bizarre.
Having a good day can encompass all kinds of activity. To quote the poet and clergyman, George Herbert, "to sweep a room as to Thy laws makes that and the action fine...". Your videos are such excellent reminders of what mindfulness really is, i.e., paying attention to the world around you while giving equal attention and value to even the humblest task.

Made this tonight with a slight twist: I made some Pima garbanzos and mashed them, then stuffed them into a homemade corn tortlla (fresh today), and finally topped them with sour cream, a sprinkling of raw pumpkin seeds, and local salsa. Your wonderful cabbage salad went on the side! ❤
Hi Kevin. Yes we do have a very nice dog park in Colville. Dex, the Chiweenie loves it very much. I planted a favorite rose on Garden Answer, a Colette, I do need one more and they sold out again! They are a climber and the most fragrant and prettiest pink. My clematis is blooming also, this time of year is glorious . Thank you for showing me your garden. Buckwheat pancakes sound yummy. I know that I have it somewhere in my pantry. I grow Honeyberries so I've made a compote with them. They are ripe sooner than my traditional blue berries and very good. A sliced avocado would go perfect on that tostada. 🥰🌹

We have two grand dogs who visit a large dog park and we sometimes go with them. It is wonderful to see all the different breeds off leash and socializing. Hello Kevin. When you mentioned gathering boxwood branches it reminded me of the time I cut some from our bushes to use on the fireplace mantle for Christmas. Every time I walked by I could not figure out what smelled "off". Then I found out that some of the older varieties had this issue. I won't be using them again for indoor arrangements.
Buckwheat is a fruit seed to be even more precise -- related to rhubarb. It is also used as a cover crop but doesn't tolerate temps below 45 degrees. It germinates quickly and over powers weeds while enriching the soil.
Thank you for sharing that lovely history of buckwheat. Who knew! I would never have guessed any of that information. So having never had buckwheat, I'm now going to get some and try it in those delicious pancakes Kevin made. Along with that blueberry compote. Hi Kevin. Yes we do have a very nice dog park in Colville. Dex, the Chiweenie loves it very much. I planted a favorite rose on Garden Answer, a Colette, I do need one more and they sold out again! They are a climber and the most fragrant and prettiest pink. My clematis is blooming also, this time of year is glorious . Thank you for showing me your garden. Buckwheat pancakes sound yummy. I know that I have it somewhere in my pantry. I grow Honeyberries so I've made a compote with them. They are ripe sooner than my traditional blue berries and very good. A sliced avocado would go perfect on that tostada. 🥰🌹

We have two grand dogs who visit a large dog park and we sometimes go with them. It is wonderful to see all the different breeds off leash and socializing. I have a gluten free guest visiting soon and I am hoping she is OK with buckwheat so we can all enjoy them for breakfast. Thanks for allowing us to share your day Kevin🙏❤️

Hello Kevin. When you mentioned gathering boxwood branches it reminded me of the time I cut some from our bushes to use on the fireplace mantle for Christmas. Every time I walked by I could not figure out what smelled "off". Then I found out that some of the older varieties had this issue. I won't be using them again for indoor arrangements.
Buckwheat is a fruit seed to be even more precise -- related to rhubarb. It is also used as a cover crop but doesn't tolerate temps below 45 degrees. It germinates quickly and over powers weeds while enriching the soil.
