Silves is a small city, with roughly 11,000 inhabitants. Silves, Algarve's Gates to the City is well preserved and a delight to walk through, with it beautiful Silves town square. Silves historic sites, shops, restaurants, cafes and bakeries make for a well rounded tourist destination to visit in the Algarve of Portugal.
