Until the regicide of King Carlos (r. 1889-1908), the royal family spent the months of September and October in Cascais, completely transforming the town's daily life. The monarch's presence attracted not only the court, but also intellectual and literary figures. With the proclamation of the Republic in 1910, the Palace became part of the Presidency and was used by various Heads of State. The Palácio da Cidadela de Cascais is the summer residence of the President of the Republic, but it is also used as a residence for heads of state visiting Portugal. I was raised in Fredericton it is a beautiful city you have to go to Fredericton in the summer when there’s lots to do like the garrison market. in September there’s the harvest music festival with several venues in the downtown if you go in the off season there’s not much there to do if you ever go back to Fredericton go take a nice walk in Odell park it is one of my favorite parks in the city also have a meal at demitris it is the best Greek restaurant in town a nice hidden gem

I assume very different destinations. One is not as developed and tropical and Portugal is more developed and has the city life that Costa Rica is missing
