I like how they completely forgot the concept of a compass and just call it a log pose.
_The One Piece brainwash is complete._
It turns out, they're *not* called vulture bees, they're actually called buzzard wasps. Pretty much the same thing, though.
I always just called them BUZZards, lol.
Remember how Aang was devastated when he discovered his mentor’s remains? Appa and Momo are Aang’s only LIVING connections to his people. With Appa taken, that’s emotionally devastating in a HUGE way. Don’t think he meant to go into the avatar state; he was so upset that his emotions triggered it.
Tell me you felt the blood in your veins freeze or that your skin was crawling when Aang shouted “TELL ME WHERE APPA IS!!”
Toph may be the group's earthbender, but Katara was the REAL rock holding everyone together this episode.
Bc Katara can see☝🏻🤓
“That’s the only time Aang’s killed something.”
*Fire Nation soldiers crying in icicle*
He also might not have killed it. I know a lot of people think it was cut in half, but when you look frame by frame and zoom in, the neck is just very thin but it still connects the body parts.
So as far as we can tell, it could be merely knocked out.
@@bouboulroz i always assumed he clipped the wings, but any interpretation seems pretty valid
@@bouboulroz It seems like he cuts the wings, which honestly is worse because that means a slow death for the creature unless it can grow them back.
@@HaarisButt @zzxp1 the wings are barely visible before or after impact so I don't even get why people assume they are clipped when they are barely on screen, but when you zoom in there is a slightly transparent shape that is still attached to the back right before it reaches the ground. So it seems they weren't clipped.
Zuko is such a bad ass he has two wanted posters, one for himself and one as the Blue Spirit.
I remember this episode plus The Library premiered as a super hyped up 1 hour special. As a kid getting so excited for this special and then getting hit with double whammy of creepy owl and the most depressing episode up to this point really bummed me out lol. Then they left you to sit with those feelings and went on a mid season break!
In retrospect, this has GOTTA be a Star wars reference.
Angry teen almost killing a bunch of sand people because of a loss? Where have I seen that before?
avatar is just a tv series size star wars reference but better than star wars ever was
I love this episode. It shows how deep the bond between Aang and Appa is. It shows how devastatingly deadly an air bender can be. Aang, even without the Avatar state, is deadly to the max. If he were to stop holding back he'd kill everyone in seconds. We can see his air attacks because we are the audience. But, in the world he could strike from nowhere with lethal effect if he so desired.
Boldcast: they who are just shy of ten thousand videos by a little bit
They are, in fact, buzzard wasps. :D
That moment when Katara grabs Aang, and he turns on her and looks so ANGRY, and you worry that he's going to hurt her.
Appas lost days gets me every time and then when they reunite kills me
"At least he's in Ba Sing Se."
Uh... 🔥👹🏔😢😭🌊
Did this episode quench ya? That was the quenchiest!
Any idea when Oshi no Ko 4 will be coming?
Appa gone, carry on
Keep em coming!!+
Honestly think this was one of Katara’s best episodes
Vengeful Aang is the best
Like❤
Actually reading stars predate compasses as far as I can tell
Yup, for our world it works because we have the North Star as a fixed point, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to go in a straight line as the night progresses. Not sure if there is an equivalent star in the avatar world though.
They were just making one piece joke
'tell me where appa is' with this distorted voice... You will hear this voice again in future, its just epic
That's the only time aang killed someone...
Firebenders at Northpole: ☠️☠️☠️
Ocean and avatar spirit was in control tho
The ATLA writers mentioned being inspired by star wars for the story overall.
I think the difference is that it was not needed. The bug let go and momo was safe. Aang for the first time was not satisfied with that. He went for the kill...
Think about how Toph must have felt during her first Avatar State experience. She says that they muzzled Appa, and the next second she has burning winds, sand flying around at hundreds of miles an hour, no sight, barely any visuals from sand vibrations, and an ungodly multitude voice yelling at the sandbenders before getting grabbed by Sokka. That's scary dude.
Her ability to feel vibrations was probably going ape shit wild.
Aang has never killed anyone.
When the buzzard wasp kidnapped Momo, the Avatar sent an air blade several hundred yards away, knocking the creature to the ground. (Not killed!)
Airbenders use negative jing (defensive only). You can't kill anyone with that. So far there has only been one person who killed someone using airbending &' this Person was not a Monk.
Furthermore, La (Ocean Spirit) killed the Northern Water Tribe firebenders & not Aang. He used Aang in the Avatar State. He is the wrath of the ocean in physical form. La is known to have the power to drag an enemy into the Mist of Lost Souls, a prison for people in the spirit world.
I understand Aang’s feelings here, but scolding Toph for not saving Appa made me so frustrated.
it's so hilarious. pls more one piece reference😂
Carson why do you want to be like Aang now
Where is oshi no ko ep?
Wait i just realize the compass pointing to the big rock magnet field and not to the north, i know sometimes compass can be like that when there's bigger/ stronger magnet fields around and leads people to getting lost in forest or mountain if they didn't know this, i just never connected this is the basic fundamental of how Log pose works
"Tell me where Appa is!?" That voice effect is amazing
