Jeremy Soule almost died in a car accident when he was working on this. In the next year, he would win several awards for his grand orchestral soundtrack he made.
Oblivion will always be my favorite, the world was alive, and the atmospheric music just made it so much better. The questlines were more satisfying in general, with Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood being one of best questlines I've ever done, in any video game.
Finally my Dark Brother returns. (I agree, wholeheartedly) Nothing better than unleashing a Rose of Sithis on the Guard Captain when he is unsuspecting in the pond! So satisfying.
The main quest of Oblivion is among the most satisfying of all the games I've played. It felt big and epic, you had to travel to all corners of the game world and meet all different kinds of characters and it all culminated in a big climactic siege after several increasingly epic battles all in different areas. Skyrim's just wasn't satisfying and didn't fully utilise the plethora of different locations and characters; it should have at least had the balls to make me fight two dragons at once rather than progressively tougher lone dragons. Still a good game and it improved a lot - but story-wise it can't compare.
***** I'll be honest I was going to mention that Dawnguard really was fantastic until I realised that comment was starting to drag on. The story was great, the hugely varied settings were great, it challenged you with more than literally two 'boss' fights and you got to fight multiple dragons in terrain where they could come up from underneath you. If they did the entire game like they did Dawngaurd, it would have been better than Oblivion.
You guys would probably call me a baby but I am crying because this is the game that I played as a kid and my mom would play as well but she died and this reminds me of her R.I.P mom
i put over 300 hours of gameplay in skyrim, and i still think oblivion is better. oblivion is one of the best games ive ever played, and it makes me think how fortunate we are to experiance such things in life, just imagine our future generations who will not have a chance to witness these amazing things
There is definitely something about Oblivion, but I can't say what. It's just more....atmospheric than Skyrim. Skyrim is a game where you get through quests and move on. In Oblivion, you just want to stand in one spot while this great music plays, staring at the sky and forest forever. I cleared every quest I could find in Oblivion, including all the DLC and I was down to just walking the open areas of the map looking for new places. I didn't want it to end.
cgraham6 i have to say oblivion had probably the best DLC ive ever played in a game. so much went into making shivering iles ,it was like a whole other experience
I completely agree with you kakarot, oblivion (and fallout 3) was the best game I ever played. Skyrims fun, but nothing beats oblivion, maxing out acrobatics, athletics and agility and just hopping all over the place... O man...
I use this for sleeping, and it helps me sooo much. And same, when I close my eyes I picture myself walking through the forest, looking around at the environment seeing creatures.
I got this game after just coming out of a really abusive relationship, people say games are just mush for your brains, but music like this and the steady tempo of the game really helped me. Anybody who's been in similar situations knows how hard it is to find your identity after something like that, and that's kind of what's cool about Oblivion/Elder Scrolls, you get to choose your identity, as in real life. So choose to be the hero of Kvatch, and the hero of your own story.
I definitely agree! The industry was more open to taking risks around this time, and we ended up getting a bunch of new and different games, like this one and a bunch of others. Nowadays we get remasters and reboots shoved down our throats. The only companies doing new and exciting things are indies (with the exception of VR).
Who else fast traveled to Bruma and tried to see how far north you could go when Skyrim was announced? I remember trying my hardest to get as close to Skyrim as I possibly could and tried imagining what it was like in that Northern Province. Oblivion was so magical.
And we'll probably be doing the same for the next province when the next game is announced. Unless they set it in Akavir. In which case, I'll be hanging out at Cloud Ruler Temple.
This game was the only time I felt at home in my life. My soul is in the beautiful black soul gem known as Oblivion. Nothing can replace the inimitable experiences... Stepping out of the dank sewers, the light piercing your eyes, and seeing the possibilities... Would you attack the bandits armored up, if you could brave the slaughterfish? Would you travel to Weynon Priory, in desperate search for Martin? Would you wander from town to town, meeting colorful characters bounding with fascinating quests? Plunging into your first Oblivion gate and observing the utter chaos, suddenly those bandits didn't seem so bad... Fighting your way up the arena ladder to make something of your character while you're called all sorts of names, then making the choice regarding The Grey Prince... Finding unique ways to grind your stats and make yourself into something... Following your hearts' desires through the Fighters' and Mages' guilds, or perhaps the elusive Dark Brotherhood... Admiring The Golden Tower in the Imperial City and the diverse world within the city walls... Watching snow fall serenely in Cloud Ruler Temple, Frostcrag Spire, or Bruma... Observing the charming simplicity of Bravil... Finding the Dark Brotherhood's amazing hideout in Cheydinhal... Watching the sunset embracing Anvil's coast... I don't think I can really express it better, but I know Oblivion fans understand...
you're right. first time i played skyrim it was great, but i missed the oblivion feeling i have even now after so many years, not important if i remember the dungeon or quest, like gothic. old but gold
There are so many memories linked to this game and it's music. Those that feel that same probably can't decide whether they want to smile or cry. I wish I could turn back time.
..Right..remember that poor painter guy? The immersion was so great that he was absorbed into his own painting! At first i didn't think that the situation was going to be hysterical. The brush part was a nice cover up. ''Paintings so real you could see the trees move'' hah, i swear the games break the fourth wall sometimes! You'd hate to deal with trolls though, i would pull Captain Picard regarding the speed of these trolls and their wibbly wobbly movements.
For me, this music is like the glow of the sun radiating through the bedroom window on a summer afternoon. Everything is slowed, and I can appreciate the profundity of existing in the moment. It always takes me to that place.
I used to fall asleep to Oblivion.... I would read books in game and pass out. One does not simply PLAY Oblivion... You LIVE Oblivion.... Seriously though, wolves with silverware in them? All the fucking time. I love Oblivion and I want to play it when I finally am on my deathbed.
I get this feeling A LOT lately. I'm planning to play Oblivion again(after 4 years) come June when my semester ends so I can lose myself in Cyrodil without distractions. It's something I'm looking forward to. :)
akatsukiawsome13 Well it's an opportunity to start fresh! I'm in a similar situation. First time I officially played Oblivion it was on xbox as well. I no longer own that console though so I recently purchased the game on steam.
Oblivion is one of those games that truly swallows you whole and spits you out again, changed and i mean in an awsome way, this game is truly mindblowing and i Think its a work of art :)
I am a true veteran of this game . played it since the day it came out , I come back to this soundtrack to relax . I love to smoke a good joint and just sit back and let the music take me to my peaceful place. thank you for posting this my friend.
It´s interesting that this is from the same guy who did the soundtrack for Morrowind, yet this game´s music is on a much higher level than that of Morrowind´s. It´s much better and much more emotional, in my opinion.
I'm literally crying. This is so beautiful, great music for a great game. This music makes me very because of the memories that came when I hear it, I remember playing oblivion when I was 10 I think and then I'll replayed it so many times and now I'm 19 and I continue to think that this game was THAT game. The game that is a part of me now, I've played Skyrim but is not the same even Morrowind for me is not at the same level of Oblivion, this game is pure art.
Yes! I haven't played Morrowind so unfortunately I can't really say anything to that, but I totally agree with you for Oblivion being artwork, basically, and Skyrim with lore and history!
So many good memories of playing Oblivion. I remember me, my brother and my cousin would play this, non stop, for days on end. This is and always will be, one of my best games ever. :')
Oblivion and Morrowind are masterpieces, among others. Skyrim also has that, in a sense, but it lacks so much else. Its graphics are much better, but even with its world in high resolution, it somehow feels more lifeless and sad when compared to these relics. Rest in Peace, Martin. I still hate you, Gaenor.
0:00 Auriel's Ascension 2:55 Harvest Dawn 5:40 King and Country 9:33 Watchman's Ease 11:28 Sunrise of Flutes 14:15 Wings of Kynareth 17:36 Nerevar Rising (Morrowind theme) You're welcome.
I'm new to this whole world, only falling in love with Oblivion less than a year ago and now playing Skyrim. Listening to this now, I feel like I am in Skyrim having magical nostalgic flashbacks to a previous time (like 200 years ago!) I am thankfully really enjoying Skyrim after an unsure start but I still feel Oblivion has this magic and romance that will be hard to find elsewhere (or Elsweyr if you prefer)
I'm listening to this while studying for my GED language arts reading. One of the passages is like the letters you read in Oblivion, This music fit really well.
i dont know, maybe this sounds so fucking nerdy but atleast i feel something like this i guess, even it was/is just a"game"...for me this was pure art, this was, i mean still is, pure inspiration, especially when it was your first xbox360 game u had as a 12 year old...the stories, the people, just the whole world, it was so magical like a ferrytale brought to life!
ReadyF0RHeady Magical, yes, that is EXACTLY the right word to describe this game and the feeling you got playing it for the first time. While many say Morrowind was the best TES game Oblivion had a charm to it unlike any other game.
10 years ago, while at high school, playing this all evenings through the summer holidays. A sheer addiction to a fantastic game, and i love reminiscing it 10 years on. roll on ESVI
I remember when I first discovered this game in the computer pubs 10 years ago. Those were these public places that do not exist in this decade anymore, where you could pay 1 hour for using a computer there. Few of them had Oblivion installed on them. I was absolutely stunned by the beauty of that game and the complete freedom unlike I've ever seen before in a game. I could discover the whole Cyrodil on my own. I could be a warrior, a thief, a mage! Choose all these attributes, skills and even birthsign. It seemed so amazing. And I could go everywhere I want and interact with all the NPCs. Wear the same clothes they are wearing. It was funny as I desperately tried to get into Mage University but didn't know you first have to complete all the tasks in the other cities. :D I remember when I saw the posters of the Gray Fox and he seemed so impressive with that mask and all! I joined the thieves guild, finished the first quest and felt like I accomplished something great! :D Oh... this game will always have a special place in my heart. It's like a good book you return to from time to time in few years.
with all these relaxing videos i expect everytime they put in maby a song from Slipknot or something haha in the middle or somewhere random haha just for giggles x)))
Wouldn't be awesome if they remade oblivion for nex gen consoles. All they would have to do is update the graphics and maybe make it a little more like skyrim i think it would be great
I know i have it on the Xbox 360 but it would even better on Xbox One and PS4 like they could do a dual pack Oblivion and Skyrim remastered on next gen! Northern Wind
This really is my childhood.... All the memories... I thought I woudn't even recognise these sounds anymore.. but I remeber it like it was yesterday when I last played it...
I remember coming home from school in middle school after a shit day and just losing myself in this games world. I would spend a lot of time just wandering around listening to the music and looking at the visuals (which were top notch at the time) in between caves or dungeons. I think I'm going to start a new playthrough
I was young when i first played oblivion. It's my favorite game of all time. I discovered this video over 5 years ago. I come back to this video every now and then. Im 18 now, and that picture of the imperial city with the white gold tower in the sky combined with the music bought tears to my eyes. When i was younger i just wanted to grow up and now here i am wanting to relive the memories as if they never happened..
I listen to this a lot when i have trouble sleeping. It helps a lot. I loved oblivion. Really made me feel like i was actually in the game. Like my memories playing oblivion aren't me sitting in front of a TV with a controller, they are like i was actually there. One of my favorites from my childhood.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is my favorite video game of all time. I have all five of the main titles, and they're all great, but I couldn't live without Oblivion if I tried. It's such a beautiful game.
You can tell that Jeremy Soule was making this OST around the same period as the Guild Wars OST, as they both sound so similar and evoke a really similar feeling. 2005/2006 was a great time.
Love this music. In the evenings I pop a beer and play this while I cook for my girlfriend. Lol. Makes me feel like I'm in the old country. Soule deserves the Noble Peace Prize for this one.
So many memories... This game was the first one ever to truly get me fully immersed in its rich, magical world to the point I forgot entirely about the real one, losing hours or days to this gem, and not a second of it regretted. I was going through some really troubled times back then, and losing myself in this game was the best break from it I could get. No other game has got me so utterly lost in such a rich and magical world as Oblivion. It left such an impression that I re-bought it 2 years after I initially completed it and traded in my original copy. Even to this day, just hearing this music brings back a flood of different memories and emotions. I hope one day to experience again the same magic that was my first playthrough of Oblivion. All I have to do is find a game that's up to the task.
Awesome musical score by Jeremy Soule.. makes me want to install oblivion again..only this time... I won't need steam to play a bethesda game... wow freedom
I don't care what anyone says about Skyrim, this game is a fucking masterpiece. Everything from the Music to the Quests to the World. I think I can say without a doubt that this game changed my life. Plus, I got on the cheap.
When I had played Oblivion in my last school year, I had been sleeping quite a little. 6 hours at best. And every evening, when I played Oblivion and heard that music, I instantly felt an intense desire to sleep. It looked like this melodies had magical relaxing properties.
Every time I hear Auriel's ascension, I cry. I don't know why, but the first few piano keys cause me to silently cry. This game was one of the most uniquely created games of its time and has a pristinely old but new feel to it that it will never lose. I will gladly take this game to my grave knowing that once upon a time I was a happy kid.
No matter the cost, no matter the distance, we shall meet again. For while the Scrolls have foretold of black wings in the cold, when brothers wage war come unfurled, we will always rise up again. And whilst some of us will...will fall asleep before the next land, their memories shall live on. And we shall meet again in the Halls of Valor. May we never forget those whom we have lost, and let us never forget, we shall see them again soon.
I love oblivion so much, I got it from my older Brother for Christmas like 10 years ago. when i hear the music it remembers me of the beautiful time and it's kinda sad that it will never be as good as for 10 years ago when I was younger..
this was one of the first games i played but damn... skyrim might have improved graphics adn more actions, but Oblivion... it was,is and will be my favorite game. when i uninstalled oblivion i couldnt sleep for two days...this brings back memories....beautiful just, beautiful...
this game reminds me of when I was a kid and spent hours on this game just roaming the forests and fighting anything that was in my way. All the memories of how determined I was to finish the game and close all the gates. I now realise how much I miss being a kid and being able to waste time on games like these because I always found it so intriguing and captivating. And I always got absorbed by the storyline because was so alluring, magical and so marvellous.
I most times I can't hear these songs without crying from the flood of emotion I experience due to the role this game played in my childhood. I'm happy it happened, but I'm sad it's over... sigh
I love how this starts with Auriel's Ascension. It's my favorite and whenever I play the game I hope and pray that I can hear it sometime. Thank you Jeremy Soule for making this beautiful music, you have no idea how emotional it gets me (and I'm not a really emotional person anyway) and how nostalgic I feel. Since I've been playing for 6 years now, I pretty much know all of the songs and maps and quests by heart, it's crazy. Plus, the calming music matches the scenery almost perfectly (in my opinion, feel free to disagree). This game is basically my childhood, in a way. It's too bad school gets in the way now and I don't get much time to play at all. Oh well, I'll just have to be patient. Once again, thank you so much for creating this gorgeous music!!
Exactly. I got this game when it came out (well my brother got it) I was 6 and listening to this while in the forests was an amazing experience gave me a sort of eerie and haunted feeling and especially just looking at the mouth of the panther knowing there are long lost ghosts inside the wreck of and abandoned ship just creeped me out but it was a weird feeling I wish I could relive
The song is called "Auriel's Ascension", and it's definitely the best track (which is really saying something because Oblivion's soundtrack is phenomenal).
One of my favorite games of all time. Morrowind is my favorite and has been but Everytime I play Oblivion it gets closer. I can listen to this beautiful soundtrack anytime. It really helps my mind wonder and get past the tough times.
This game is my life. I can say without a doubt if it didn't exist I would not be complete. When I traded in my 360 and all my games for the Xbox One, Oblivion is the only game I kept.
Jeremy Soule almost died in a car accident when he was working on this. In the next year, he would win several awards for his grand orchestral soundtrack he made.
We almost lost one of the most amazing composers in all of history.
crazy s'wit
well maybe he shouldn't be working on music while driving
Thank the 9 he survived. May his soul be guarded.
ARintheseat did you mean may his SOULE be guarded?? Ba dum tuss!!😎
Oblivion will always be my favorite, the world was alive, and the atmospheric music just made it so much better. The questlines were more satisfying in general, with Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood being one of best questlines I've ever done, in any video game.

Oblivion was overall, a better rpg than Skyrim.
You guys would probably call me a baby but I am crying because this is the game that I played as a kid and my mom would play as well but she died and this reminds me of her R.I.P mom
Wow, your mom was so open minded, it speaks volumes just from that..how did she die?
RageDrakax that kind of things don't quest dude xd
Ebola I thought it was pretty obvious that it was a joke.
not so obvious though, no offense but for my was a bad joke then
Ebola I really couldn't care less.
i put over 300 hours of gameplay in skyrim, and i still think oblivion is better. oblivion is one of the best games ive ever played, and it makes me think how fortunate we are to experiance such things in life, just imagine our future generations who will not have a chance to witness these amazing things

who could forget the breathtaking view after exiting the sewers for the first time...
No one
I remember playing oblivion 7 years ago and I still play it today.
Are there overhaul or like texture mods?
Yes
There is Daggerfall graphics overhaul Morrowing graphics overhaul Oblivion overhaul and skyrim overhaul
thanks
No probelm
Anyone else use this (amazing) soundtrack to fall asleep? The moment I close my eyes I'm in my house in Cheydinhall😂
I use this for sleeping, and it helps me sooo much.
And same, when I close my eyes I picture myself walking through the forest,
looking around at the environment seeing creatures.
RoninPlayZ Me too, i'm currently replying the game and it's so nostalgic
Clara Bear I totally can feel that vibe . this weed is good to lol night x)
me too
lol yup. been doing that on and off for a few years
This is just so beautiful. One thing Oblivion has over Skyrim is the music in general.
10 minutes on....Jesus Christ.
I got this game after just coming out of a really abusive relationship, people say games are just mush for your brains, but music like this and the steady tempo of the game really helped me. aaawwww it's 2016, I'm 26 yo and I still want to dive into those beautiful green forests when I hear this magniificent music....
И сейчас ещё тоже хочется?😊
Old now huh

this reminds me of a time when gaming was simpler and better, todays gaming industry just doesnt compare to what it was when this game came out.
Preach!

DLC is becoming norm too :(
True just kinda weird when you say that and then you remmember the Horse Armor DLC ;-;
havent heard these songs in years and i still can hum them perfectly. THATS the sign of a good soundtrack
i remember playing oblivion 10 years ago. amazing game with an atmosphere that cant be recreated.
Preach!
ive played this game since it came out and i still haven't fully completed it yet and the music still give me goosebumps.. love this game
Peach!
look up skyblivion. it's a remake of oblivion in skyrims music.
Who else fast traveled to Bruma and tried to see how far north you could go when Skyrim was announced? I remember trying my hardest to get as close to Skyrim as I possibly could and tried imagining what it was like in that Northern Province. Oblivion was so magical.

Every piece of this game has an unique memory. Prima.
Definitely agree. Oblivion just has this...magic....that skyrim doesnt.
you're right. first time i played skyrim it was great, but i missed the oblivion feeling i have even now after so many years, not important if i remember the dungeon or quest, like gothic. old but gold
Exactly the same for me!!
how old were you when you played oblivion?
Charles Hemingsherdinger I was 19
Charles Hemingsherdinger i was 3 srsly
9:26 - that transition gets me every time. Good work on that.
no game will ever beat Oblivion , never ever . This is art
agreed
Anybody else really want to play oblivion now and jut stroll through the towns?
There are so many memories linked to this game and it's music. Those that feel that same probably can't decide whether they want to smile or cry. I wish I could turn back time.
+Lollivomit dude you hit me like a freight train
i literally cried listening to this , i miss oblivion so much
i remember staying up late playing oblivion after homework and falling asleep while playing on the living room couch.
I miss the good times... 😭
Oblivion was one of my first adventures in gaming and it will always hold a place next to my xbox.
This was my teen years. I escaped reality by playing this. I lived in this world !!! Gosh I miss those days. Gosh I miss my childhood
I play this every morning at work. Perfect start to the day.
Oh, the times I wished I could just walk right into my screen, and never would I look back...
..Right..remember that poor painter guy? The immersion was so great that he was absorbed into his own painting! At first i didn't think that the situation was going to be hysterical. The brush part was a nice cover up. ''Paintings so real you could see the trees move''

Zerephai until you walk straight into a gate to oblivion
Fun!
I played 150+ hours on oblivion and Skyrim and believe me skyrim is a great game but oblivion still takes the title at #1
For me, this music is like the glow of the sun radiating through the bedroom window on a summer afternoon.
You LIVE Oblivion.....you're damn right.
This is amazing, it's unbelievable how much music can evoke memories of times past and this strong sense of nostalgia forcing goosbumps down my spine.
Makes me wanna go back to Cyrodil and play
doitdoitdoit
I get this feeling A LOT lately. I'm planning to play Oblivion again(after 4 years) come June when my semester ends so I can lose myself in Cyrodil without distractions. It's something I'm looking forward to. :)
***** Saaaammee~
I'm still upset because I lost the ability to play on my xbox... corrupted saves, among other issues... At least I have it on steam!
akatsukiawsome13 Well it's an opportunity to start fresh! I'm in a similar situation. First time I officially played Oblivion it was on xbox as well. I no longer own that console though so I recently purchased the game on steam.
***** True, but not having frostcrag and my other dlc makes me want to cry ;_;
Oblivion is one of those games that truly swallows you whole and spits you out again, changed and i mean in an awsome way, this game is truly mindblowing and i Think its a work of art :)
That beginning when I travel throug the woods and hear that Soundtrack ...Amazing
xddd Jeah just from nowhere is a monster LVL 100 and blows you miles away :D
I am a true veteran of this game . played it since the day it came out , I come back to this soundtrack to relax . I love to smoke a good joint and just sit back and let the music take me to my peaceful place. thank you for posting this my friend.

Bruno Urbinati i can relate so much
All those fall/winter days skipping school playing this game with not a care about anything else. Take me back lol.
this just brings back awesome memories .. I wish it was 2007 again.
Oblivion is like painting because of its beauty skyrim is like a book for its lore and its history :)
That's a really good analogy.
that would make Morrowind an entire theology, then ^^
ZippyLemon I wouldn't say Morrowind is like art, but it is an amazing rpg and has tons of lore in it. Music was great too.
It takes alot to play it for any more than 2 hours without getting a headache though, same as Amnesia-you get used to high levels of stress.
Yes!
I haven't played Morrowind so unfortunately I can't really say anything to that, but I totally agree with you for Oblivion being artwork, basically, and Skyrim with lore and history!
My first TES game. I'll never forget the joy I felt playing this masterpiece. Thank you for uploading this. It warms up my heart.
So many good memories of playing Oblivion. I remember me, my brother and my cousin would play this, non stop, for days on end. This is and always will be, one of my best games ever. :')
Man, this music is awesome to listen to when exploring the wilderness and discovering new locations.
Who the fuck are you and why are you bothering me?
Oblivion and Morrowind are masterpieces, among others. Skyrim also has that, in a sense, but it lacks so much else. Its graphics are much better, but even with its world in high resolution, it somehow feels more lifeless and sad when compared to these relics. Rest in Peace, Martin. I still hate you, Gaenor.
Thanks everyone for the nice comments ^^ Also people, read the description before you say I dont know it is from Morrowind :P
+TheMantasWolf Put a playlist in your video description man.
0:00 Auriel's Ascension

14:15 Wings of Kynareth
17:36 Nerevar Rising (Morrowind theme)
You're welcome.
thx =)
The first time I try to be a good one for me
I see you snuck a bit of Morrowind in there at the end ;)
This is one of my favorite games of all time. I've been playing it now for 10 years, and I still discover new things every time. :-)
makes you think how a game so old, still tops nearly every single game ive ever played along side mass effect and fallout
It's the Sky... During Day and Night... just look above and listen ... so beautiful, so white, so limpid .
play "rainy mood" with this, it goes well together
+Gangstabob716 i always do that to study, its great
I'm new to this whole world, only falling in love with Oblivion less than a year ago and now playing Skyrim. Listening to this now, I feel like I am in Skyrim having magical nostalgic flashbacks to a previous time (like 200 years ago!)
I am thankfully really enjoying Skyrim after an unsure start but I still feel Oblivion has this magic and romance that will be hard to find elsewhere (or Elsweyr if you prefer)
I'm listening to this while studying for my GED language arts reading. One of the passages is like the letters you read in Oblivion, This music fit really well.
I do the exact same!!!!! :D
i dont know, maybe this sounds so fucking nerdy but atleast i feel something like this i guess, even it was/is just a"game"...for me this was pure art, this was, i mean still is, pure inspiration, especially when it was your first xbox360 game u had as a 12 year old...the stories, the people, just the whole world, it was so magical like a ferrytale brought to life!
ReadyF0RHeady Magical, yes, that is EXACTLY the right word to describe this game and the feeling you got playing it for the first time. While many say Morrowind was the best TES game Oblivion had a charm to it unlike any other game.
That first song always gives me chills
10 years ago, while at high school, playing this all evenings through the summer holidays. A sheer addiction to a fantastic game, and i love reminiscing it 10 years on. roll on ESVI
i think that Jeremy Soule will be remembered as a one of the greatest composers of all time like Mozart, Chopin etc : )
Jerzy Działa and howard shore
I remember when I saw the posters of the Gray Fox and he seemed so impressive with that mask and all! I joined the thieves guild, finished the first quest and felt like I accomplished something great! :D
Oh... this game will always have a special place in my heart. It's like a good book you return to from time to time in few years.
The music in Oblivion is sublime and I prefer it to most tracks in Skyrim, it has to be said.
Glad you like it! ^^
top lad for posting this!
Dude, you are awesome. Thank you so much :)
***** I felt as it was too cold and scary, that means it wouldnt fit into the "relaxing" part :D It's only my opinion tough!
with all these relaxing videos i expect everytime they put in maby a song from Slipknot or something haha in the middle or somewhere random haha just for giggles x)))
Oblivion is such an amazing game, had so many memories playing it. When I was little my friend and I played it.
Fuck I miss playing this game.
Wouldn't be awesome if they remade oblivion for nex gen consoles. All they would have to do is update the graphics and maybe make it a little more like skyrim i think it would be great
Great idea!!!!!
Or at least be on playstation now! Alas, they would probably choose skyrim over oblivion -/\-
NevaSeenItComin Oblivion was on the PS3. I have it for the PS3.
I know i have it on the Xbox 360 but it would even better on Xbox One and PS4 like they could do a dual pack Oblivion and Skyrim remastered on next gen! Northern Wind
everyone should write letters to todd howard that makes his heart throb about how much we love oblivion until they remaster it
This really is my childhood.... All the memories... I thought I woudn't even recognise these sounds anymore.. but I remeber it like it was yesterday when I last played it...
absolute best sound track ever! I use it when studying and home work!
4:30, brings up oblivion memories! man I loved this game.
I remember coming home from school in middle school after a shit day and just losing myself in this games world. I would spend a lot of time just wandering around listening to the music and looking at the visuals (which were top notch at the time) in between caves or dungeons. I think I'm going to start a new playthrough
I find myself coming back to this video a lot, especially when I get stressed. Very peaceful.
Really nice collection. Thanx for Jeremy Soule for creating such fine music.
*Opening with "Auriel's Ascension" was a truly wonderful choice*
I was young when i first played oblivion. It's my favorite game of all time. I discovered this video over 5 years ago. I come back to this video every now and then. Im 18 now, and that picture of the imperial city with the white gold tower in the sky combined with the music bought tears to my eyes. When i was younger i just wanted to grow up and now here i am wanting to relive the memories as if they never happened..
Whoever made this video deserves a hug and is amazing. I thank the Creator of this vid
Obilivion..... wow i miss playing her.... goosebumps, best game ever.
14:15 i get chills everytime
Skyrim soundtrack: 10/10
Oblivion soundtrack: no points, simple MASTERPIECE
Wish they'd remade oblivion instead of the skyrim remaster. I just melted into this game!
Coolest part is that this relaxing music comp starts off with that viewpoint of the mountain and vilverin. ahh, memories...
"What is it, citizen?"
I welcome a friendly face in these dark times. How can I be of service?
This music is like itt Would be from another dimension.
Listening to this whilst writing the last leg of my dissertation. feeling pretty damn victorious.
May we never forget those whom we have lost, and let us never forget, we shall see them again soon.
every time I listen to these songs, I get chills that go down my back, I think I'm going to cry ;~)
I love oblivion so much, I got it from my older Brother for Christmas like 10 years ago.
when i hear the music it remembers me of the beautiful time and it's kinda sad that it will never be as good as for 10 years ago when I was younger..
this was one of the first games i played but damn... skyrim might have improved graphics adn more actions, but Oblivion... it was,is and will be my favorite game.
when i uninstalled oblivion i couldnt sleep for two days...this brings back memories....beautiful just, beautiful...
thank you for bringing peace into my home...
this game reminds me of when I was a kid and spent hours on this game just roaming the forests and fighting anything that was in my way.
I bought oblivion on release day, and when you come out of the sweres and into to the world for the first time, omg it blew me away, a stunning game.
First song literally had me in tears
That's my favorite part of the peaceful oblivion music.
Same here.
Jonathon Ferrell you mean GLORIOUS
One of the best soundtracks ever made, there's just a certain feel of this.
So relaxing that you can almost forget about the whole crisis going on around you.
I'm crying, no joking, i just, this is part of my childhood. I want to bring back old times when everything was so perfect 😢
