I have watched Andy & Barney since I was 5. I still watch them today. It's like a comfort food, makes me laugh & reminds me of simpler times. I always like to think him & Don Knots are in heaven making God laugh. I introduced my daughters from a young age to watch it. They loved it too.
I can totally see why some families decide to keep the burial sites of their loved ones who were famous private. Because some folks can be a bit crazy. I remember seeing some deranged fan on Instagram who thought he was the husband of a deceased singer and he kept posting pics of him visiting their grave. It was a bit disturbing.
I think Otis Redding (Sitting on the dock of the Bay) was also buried on his property in Macon, Ga as well? Kind of sad about him. That song was released right after he died in the plane crash and became his first #1 hit, which he predicted it would when he recorded it, even though the others didnt think so. He was right. One of my favorite songs of 1968.
My family member loved Dale Sr. and ended up losing his racing friend 8 months later to the same injuries in a wreck while fighting for the lead with Dale Sr's eldest son, Kerry. Allegedly, HAANS devices weren't officially mandatory until Blaise was killed and his father pushed NASCAR to add the safer barriers sooner than they planned after the wrecks so no one else would lose their son the way he lost his.
Im so sorry for the loss. Blaise Alexander was a great talent. That accident at Charlotte was so unfortunate. Both going hard for the win. I wish those head and neck restraining systems were mandatory.
Are you talking about Blaise Alexander? Everyone thinks the HANS was made mandatory because of Dale Sr accident but few know of this one, which I believe was the last death before they mandated HANS.
There was a man from my birth town of East Liverpool Ohio, who live in Calcutta, Ohio that was able to obtain Dale Ernharts big truck he used to move his stuff around with.
My dad is so obsessed with Dale Sr and Jr. He has an entire room dedicated to them. Ceiling to floor, wall to wall. He even has a used tire from both of their cars in that room. Yes, we're from Alabama 🤦🏻♀️

I was on Merle's street today. I used to deliver equipment to the ranch when he was alive. Whenever Willie Nelson would play in nearby Red Bluff, he'd come stay at Merle's for about a week. One day I was bringing in a backhoe about 8 am, and there's Willie and Merle on the front porch burning one for breakfast 🚬 I'll never forget it.

I was in the infield between turns 3 and 4 when Earnhardt wrecked, my husband was taking pictures and has a series of 6 shots which show Sterling didn't touch him in that moment, Dale's tire hit the apron and it shot him up into the wall. This wreck was caused by Earnhardt himself, Marlin did not cause it. Earnhardt was blocking and came down to block Marlin. I'm not a Sterling Marlin fan but get tired of everyone blaming him for the wreck that killed Earnhardt.
Wow, what a story, what an experience. I may be in the minority, but I never blamed anyone for Dale's death. It was all about the grief and loss, inevitable as it may have seemed. What I have absolute contempt for is the vultures at the tabloids, trying to get the autopsy photos. Ghastly. Theresa had more class on the stand, even when they made her cry, than any of those vipers. Long may they rot.
Angela >> you are absolutely correct > sterling Marlin was totally blame for the accident and many death threats by Earnhardt fans > Dale Earnhardt being the largest draw to NASCAR did not like the Hans device and said he would not wear it > NASCAR listen to Earnhardt > indyCar racing was so much more advanced in safety and NASCAR should’ve followed regardless of Earnhardt’s dislikes >
@@trishsiprell6996 I never thought of it as anyone's fault either, there's always wrecks while racing cars. Dale may have lived had he had on proper head gear. Interesting stories!
I tried to go to James Brown’s’ funeral at the Apollo. The line went 100% around the block. I had met him backstage there years ago when my relatives sang gospel there. I was about 5.
the Dale Earnhardt one makes total sense because the family would literally of never been able to be alone at his grave, some of these people may be more famous but Earnhardt was literally made into the messiah of an entire sport after his death.
@John Wayne No, she tried stopping Kerry from using the Earnhardt name. In a way, she had a point. Kerry was legally adopted by his stepfather when his mom remarried. However, Teresa didn't have exclusive rights to the Earnhardt name either. Teresa lost the lawsuit because after 16 years of age, Kerry legally changed his last name back to Earnhardt.
It was his choice you could say. He had his reasons. At any rate, he is human just like the rest of us are and cashed in just like the rest of us will also cash in one day to.
You can also add the following to the list: Jimmy Dean (of country music and sausage fame): he is interred on his private estate in Varina, Virginia; Earl Hamner, Jr. (wrote the book on which "The Walton's" tv series was based), his cenotaph is on private land near the Walton Museum in Schuyler, Virginia; actor Frederick March's grave is located on his family's estate in Connecticut.
Three Big, names. All so talented. The musical Scrooge for tv back in the 1950’s, was great. Frederick played Scrooge. Basil Rathbone, played Marley. Jimmy, ‘Big John,’ ‘little Sandy Sleighfoot,’ plus very good Sausage products, and of course Earl’s, The Walton’s. Thank you, for sharing, this.

Merle Haggard's Tour Bus was called SUPER Chief -- NOT " Silver " Chief. The Indian Head Logo on the sides was used with permission of The Santa Fe Railway, who originated it in the 1930's for their premier Los Angeles to Chicago passenger train. ( The bus also featured a Super Chief drumhead on the back. ) As a child, Merle lived in a wooden refrigerator boxcar in Oildale,CA., next to the local Santa Fe tracks, and always had a love of trains.

@@bobbyheffley4955 Thankfully as it should be. He gave so much of himself to the public while he was alive that he deserves a peaceful final resting place.
Wow, I’m surprised you didn’t include Montgomery Cliff, who is buried in a small private Quaker cemetery that predates Brooklyn’s Prospect Park and is hidden back in the woods under locked gates. You can appeal to a Quaker board who oversees the cemetery, but for the most part unless you can show ancestry to someone buried there you won’t get in.
Was Mr. Cliff a Quaker? That's interesting anyway. Thank you. I've seen some of his movies, but really know only what Miss Taylor sd about him in an interview and one tribute she did for TCM back when the marvelous Robert Osborne was the host. It took 5-6 people to replace him.....❤
Country music legend Jimmy Dean (also the founder of Jimmy Dean Sausage) is buried on his estate in Virginia in a crypt shaped liked a piano. It is not open to the public.
15 months after Dale Earnhardt's death, the SAFER barrier made its debut at the 2002 Indianapolis 500 and now has no doubt saved many drivers in races around the world.
...so did the HANS device. Earnhardt's fatal injury resulted from his open-face helmet design at exactly the same place on the track where Neil Bonnett died in 1994 when he crashed in practice. Both drivers wore 'bubble' eye goggles from decades before instead of the full head helmets they wear now.
I think Whitney Houston’s grave should be on the list. I mean technically you can visit it, but the family doesn’t really want that. They want to keep it low key, and there have been some people dealing with security over it. I was one of the lucky ones who saw it with no problems.
The part about Andy Griffith does not surprise me. While an amazing actor, it was pretty well known he wasn’t the most cordial celebrity you’d ever meet.
I have been very fortunate to meet several "celebrities" and am able to say 99% were very down to earth and personable, a those who were with their spouses, the spouses were personable too.👍
I just found this video for the first time a few minutes ago and it was very well done and it was also very comforting too. One person that should be added to this list here is The Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. His final resting place cannot be visited by the public for only his family, including his widow Terri and his 2 kids, along with his closet friends knows where he is laid to rest. And, I believe that the grave of Princess Diana is also barred from public visitors too. May they all rest peacefully for all eternity.

Dale Earnhardt would've lived if he would've listen to Jeff Gordon about wearing new safety device that attached to back of helmet then to safety latch that kept drivers from head going forward.
Unfortunately H.a.n.s wouldn't save dale. He hit the wall head on weakest point of the car it pretty much ripped his restraints out of the seat. It was Dale's day 2 pass an still remember it like yesterday.

Princess Di is it any wonder ...... look at how much she was harassed during her short time on this earth. The pap have so much to answer for in her case
Kobe Bryant’s resting place (if he has one) is not known. These are all people who we know “where” they are, they are just in private property and/or not open to the public. Princess Diana’s family home of Athrop is open in the summer and you can see the island and pay respects at a designated spot. So not closed to the public per-say.
To my opinion Dale senior was the best race car driver on the track and I will never forget him and I couldn't wait until Sunday came around so I could watch him race he could move through the traffic faster than anyone on the track rest in peace Dale .
Earnhardt does have a very nice life size statue of his self in the center of Downtown hometown and his mother who is now deceased went to see it everyday. It’s open to the public
Yes if DNA is needed they could use the living children. That does not make sense to me to cut a dead mans leg. Especially since he used those legs to entertain so many. As a wife I would never agreed to that.
I don't believe they cut James Brown's legs off to get his DNA. There is a procedure they do to obtain bone marrow on a living person without cutting their legs off. Get real!!! I think his wife is nutty, and seemed to care more about his money than she did him.
@@rochelleowens6501 his kids were basically at war with his wife, no way they would give a DNA sample, especially if it would prove his youngest son was really his.

@@sandrachanzu5536 He is not. If there is a number one reason to believe he is gone is that Michael loved and adored his children so much that he would have never left them intentionally. Sure, there are reasons why he could have faked his own death, but that could apply to anyone. Michael is gone. Interviews with Michael's son Prince, he always talked loving about his father in a way that affirms that he passed. If Michael had anyone to live for especially, it was his children. He's gone. Been gone for 13 years.
Has the story about MJ's ashes being spread at Neverland substantiated? My understanding was that MJ found Neverland to be "tainted" after everything that happened and I recall an interview with him when he said he would never step foot back there again. I could be way off base as I didn't follow it that closely, but if my recollections are correct, I think spreading his ashes there would have been about the last thing he would have wanted.
MJ was buried in the mausoleum. The cremation story was refuted by his death certificate and fact checkers. It's a criminal offense for a funeral director to provide false information for a death certificate.
He is in a building with other people, I have seen videos of it. It’s a building mausoleum however the part of the building he is in is sectioned off and you can get to ot.

It's fine if Jackson's remains were cremated and/or scattered. That is their (or his) full right. Just don't deceive the public by placing an (empty) cemented tomb in an inaccessible Moseleum. Why is it inaccessible. How can you be concerned regarding 'graverobbers' when if there is no grave. Preposterous to say the least. My apologies.
I don't feel that you need to apologize. Yet, the thing that I find "preposterous" is the Jackson story itself. Jackson's Death certificate clearly doesn't show anything about cremation. Jackson's body went to Forest Lawn for embalming, funeral, and interment. It's that simple. For Back Roads to write that Michael Jackson's mother hid his corpse, put it on ice, and then placed it in cement is nuts! That's Preposterous! Back Roads' first-hand knowledge is not credible by a long shot. There is an entire large section of The Great Mausoleum that is private and off-limits to the public other than family members. Without question, Jackson's remains, sarcophagus, and casket are exceptionally well-protected at Forest Lawn. After all, his family paid a bucket load of money for that protection and privacy. I will add that I feel Michael would have liked his fans to visit him. So, sadly, that they can't. Rest in peace, Michael.
@@wayneonpark in actual fact, the coffin is indeed empty and he was cremated and spread at neverland under the giving tree. His coffin was already empty at his memorial

You can but of two ways to do it. One set up a appointment dress in really nice clothing and request a appointment to buy a crypt or niche. I was able to see 2 areas that are not even photographed. The second way is to follow the instructions on how to get past security. I saw MJ and Liz Taylor's grave. Security searched for cameras and stuff.

The shameful thing is that hiding highly regarded figured of who everyone around the world loved is detrimental to that person's memory and legacy. Hiding the icons of sheer brilliance in their professions is the ultimate disgrace to say the least. At least they finally rest in peace but it would be great for others to allow these icons to rest in peace and leave the families to grieve in solitude.

I think I read somewhere that you can see his tombstone from a public road; however, visitors to the property are NOT welcome.
Yes, he's buried on his beautiful property in Macon, Ga.
Yes you can see it from the road ive ran into his son in Macon he looks just like his dad.

I was on Merle's street today. I used to deliver equipment to the ranch when he was alive. Whenever Willie Nelson would play in nearby Red Bluff, he'd come stay at Merle's for about a week. I'm not a Sterling Marlin fan but get tired of everyone blaming him for the wreck that killed Earnhardt.

the Dale Earnhardt one makes total sense because the family would literally of never been able to be alone at his grave, some of these people may be more famous but Earnhardt was literally made into the messiah of an entire sport after his death.
PenskePC23, Teresa doesn't even allow any Earnhardt family members to visit Dale Sr's grave.

Why do you apologize to someone who told the world a lie?and misled the people to believe his body is in a grave at the cemetery.

People I Swear ....... these special people are human beings that have families , that care and worry about their deceased member , Because some people can't separate ( Being a Fan ) or ( Being a Damn Nosey Problem ! ) .
Leave these people alone with their loved ones in Peace now !
For so many years the families had to stand back and become 2nd ..... Now they deserve to enjoy the peace and quiet with their Dad , Mom , Brother or Sister .
Fans take things too damn far ...I. Step the Hell back and treat that member as if he or she were alive today WITH RESPECT !
