I was just at Graceland a month ago. Elvis’s grandson is now buried across from him in a above ground crypt. The meditation garden is such a peaceful spot to be laid to rest.
It sickens me that people tried to steal his body. I grew up listening to his music proving that, even in the 1980s, he still influenced rock 'n' roll. I wish I had the money/time to travel to Memphis to pay my respects to one of the most influential voices of my childhood. Another singer I would really want to visit is Dolores O'Riordan. She was the founder and lead singer of the Irish band Cranberries. I still love listening to her songs such as Dreams and Promises. At her peak, she was THE number one artist in Ireland and outsold everyone including U2. This prompted a music magazine to write a story about her and it opened with the question: Quick, who's the number one selling artist in Ireland? It's NOT Bono.

Not really sure why I'm so interested in these kinds of videos but it's very heartwarming and nice to see that all these souls are still being celebrated and remembered. I love your voice over and I love how you provide so much information on them instead of just showing the graves, really makes it personal.
The great thing about your videos is that the famous celebrities graves are not disclosed by the mortuary. It is so hard to find and locate them. Arthur you are doing all the work for us. Also educating us about the lesser known names of celebrities that we definitely would remember in television, movies or music. Thanks Arthur.
I remember the day that Mr. Rogers died. I was four or five. I cried because I wanted to meet him so badly!! He was a true gift and hero to the world!!❤️❤️
I was born and raised in Memphis and had some teachers in high school that taught Elvis in Humes High School. They spoke so highly of Elvis saying he was a polite and well mannered young man. In the South we say someone like that was 'raised right'. Later I worked with a man named Tiny Dixon. Tiny had a band way back and Elvis opened for them at some of the local clubs. Tiny brought an old electric guitar to work one day. He said he lent it to Elvis, mainly just hold while he was singing during those early days. Tiny also spoke well of Elvis, saying 'The boy was raised right'.
You never forget the day your favorite singer dies. I was at work when the news broke over the radio that Donna Summer had passed away and it was all I could do to make it through the day without crying. During the previous two years I had compiled a complete singles collection of her music, which I had hoped to present a copy to her one day. RIP Donna. "There will always be a you."
I visited Mj's grave in glendale, forest lawn and visited neverland in his famous giving tree. Rumors spread that either he was buried in glendale or cremated and ashes are in his small tree lake. I have visited both of those sites, so yeah.
You were so close to Corpus Christi Texas where our Queen of Tejano Selena Quintanilla Perez is resting in peace, my heart was racing thinking after San Antonio Tx you were heading her way. 💜
Those are just a drop in the bucket. There are several more celebrities at Woodlawn, where they showed Tammy Wynette. Also, several more in Hendersonville where Johnny and June are. You could do an entire special here.
Besides Elvis the King, Donna Summer was the greatest voice of her generation RIP You were so gifted and I know you and Whitney are making beautiful music in heaven
I watched this with great interest and have to admit, there was many people i had never heard of, i found it quite moving and pretty shocked at some of the graves that some of these very rich and famous people had, their choice of course. But i simply knew that Elvis's resting place would be the last to be shown and i appreciated that. A beautiful grave, which brought back very sad memories of August 16th 1977. Many thanks for showing these graves, and the narration of the people who were buried in various cemetaries.

Thank you for all the memorable Celebrity's!! Really awesome I can see all this in my living room..Don't have to travel to far..Love Elvis Presley & where he is burried....Feel like I'm right there!!
The last one you visited is the very best. I've been there & will go again this fall. I've loved this man since I was ten years old. With every song he belted out I swear he was singing them just for me. He is known for many things from his moving all over to his "Thank you, thank you very much" He once said that "Music if you feel it you have to move to it>" That he did he just moved to it all over :). We love you Elvis, see you in October.
I for one haven't left the house in three months so I travel with these videos. Nowadays I even "enjoy nature" and "go for walks" in video games. Sometimes I feel I'll end up like Jack Torrence from "The Shining". Anyway, those are some well-made location tour videos.
I can remember where I was when Elvis died. I was setting at the desk in my room in our billets listening to the Armed Forces Radio Network. I was in the U.S. Army stationed just outside Stuttgart and for some reason, I had the day off. They interrupted programming to make the announcement that Elvis had died. My wife, on the other hand, had an interesting experience when she worked in a photography store one afternoon. She was working when in walked this older lady who had just purchased a dress and liked it so much she wore it out of the store. At some point, she realized that the price tag was still on so she walked into the store my wife worked. The lady walked up and ask my wife to cut the tag off for her and my wife cut it off for her. It turned out the older lady was none other than Mrs. Henry Cannon better known as Cousin Minnie Pearl. Ironically, Mrs. Henry Cannon spoke at my college commencement and the story she told is one that I have never forgotten. She always said to be your best because you never know what the future may hold. She told us of how she was doing vaudeville in upstate New York one time on a night when no one was out with that typical New York blizzard. She looked out from the side of the curtain hoping to see no one but, that wasn't to be when she saw one person in the auditorium. The curtain went up and she performed half-heartedly thinking it's only one person it doesn't matter. It turned out that one person was a scout looking for someone to star in this new movie. This, someone, had to be plain, and they heard that Minnie Pearl might be what they were looking for to play Dorothy in the screen adaptation of the Wizard of Oz. Her halfhearted performance that night cost her the part and from that point on she always did her best at whatever she did. This was the message she left with us and I have tried to live by that creed.
With respect, I don't think Dorothy was a suited roll for Minny Pearl unless she could sing. Which I doubt. Shirley Temple was slated for that roll too but her studio would not loan her out. She couldn't sing as well as Judy Garland either.
We are all just passing by in this world. Blessed are those people who had left their legacy and the world knows that they were born. Nothing last forever... but the memories remains
As a TH-cam addict, I consider myself a professional critic of of TH-cam! After watching mist of your episodes, I have to say, without a doubt, I find your channel educational, respectful and most of all very entertaining! Well done please keep them coming and thank you, I look forward to watching what's next.
Shock not true at all he had to put all these videos together give us the info voice over and share it with us. It wasn’t all Arthur Darks work but he did do a lot of work to put it together along with lots of loyal viewers
I adore and will love Mr Rogers forever. He has taught youth of many ages kindness, compassion, goodness, acceptance.....only a few of many many important lessons. He will live on in all our memories. Did you know he was a minister? It matters not whether Catholic or Protestant....to be one of His. Rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord, Mr Rodgers and thank you!!! 🙏🏻 🌻
@@dianer558 I remember that it was said that he was a minister, and he also fought very hard in congressional hearings for better programming for children. He really was awesome, and by watching his show as a girl helped me to be the woman I am today.
Just sitting here watching this and when you came across the one from mr. Rogers his wife actually just passed away several weeks ago he truly was Pittsburgh's favorite neighbor
I don't think I had ever seen Mr. Rogers grave before. I live in Tennessee so most of the graves I was aware of, but I didn't know Donna Summer was buried there. Great video!
Joy Sheets no it’s just a plaque, Jesse isn’t actually in there as Jesse was buried in an unmarked grave somewhere in Tupelo. That grave still has not been found
I hate the missed opportunity at Bessie smiths grave. Her headstone was purchased by Janis Joplin. She didn’t have a marker until Janis had one made, as she was her biggest inspiration. August 8th 1970 to be exact. 💙
Thank you for these wonderful tours. I've always enjoyed cemeteries for their beauty and tranquility, but I would never be able to see any of these without your guided tours. I have, however, been to Graceland a few times and even Elvis' original resting place in Forest Hill. I have a photo of one yellow rose in a niche of his tomb before they had to move him. And everyone should see the movie "Frances" with Jessica Lange. She should have won an Oscar for her performance, and it is important for everyone to see just what Frances went through, mainly because her mother wanted her to work, work, work so she didn't have to.
It's so heartbreaking that his daughter Lisa Marie passed away. I know she will be happy to see her son, father and grandparents again. Rest in peace. Mrs. Priscilla Presley, as a fan, I am still reeling in shock over Lisa's passing. I hope your relatives will give you the support you need in this tragic time. Know that Lisa will be in good hands wherever she is now, her father will be overjoyed to see her again.
The US has some amazing and beautiful memorials to their departed. The UK (where I'm at) may not match those beautiful modern structures but UK has thee most amazing, beautiful classic gothic victorian text book graveyards to the departed..... Enjoying this channel...so many stars that we thought we had no idea who they are, until we get the cilp to remind us....
Nothing says that the famous and rich are touchable, human & just like us then death itself. 😢😭 May they all be at peace now & may they always live as legends in our hearts, memories & within each new year. Forever may they never be forgotten & may their struggles & lifes lessons always be taught to help & guide the rising stars.
the part where you showed the grave of elvis.. i cried right away. I know I'm only 17 years old but I grew up listening to his songs and watching his movies ONLY (no joke till this day) I'm from Serbia and I hope to visit it one day..

I remember the very moment that I heard Elvis died. I was out in the front yard raking leaves, my Mom pops her head out the front door & says; "Elvis is dead." And shuts the door. I sat there with my rake, crying , I was just 13.😭Great video!
@@theflossi56 He was truly a totally different type of "pop" star, he could feel the love of his audience &" they truly reciprocated! Theres a story I read that said that Elvis would have all the ladies line up after his shows that wanted autographs, photos, etc, and any that wanted a kiss from him was FULLY KISSED on the 👄 (no matter age, weight, appearance etc), what a guy!
I used to attend a Swedenborgian church and we learned a lot about Johnny Appleseed and his life. His story is truly a fascinating one and well worth looking into.

That is so true death do not discriminate.
Now Lisa Marie is going to be buried there.

We are all just passing by in this world. Blessed are those people who had left their legacy and the world knows that they were born. Nothing last forever... but the memories remains
Graceland is one of my favorite places on Earth. Such a peaceful place.
I have pictures and we took the tour omg the best ever
It seems like the biggest success of these videos is the tone. It's not melancholy or really depressing. You nailed it.
I’ve been to Memphis and seen Elvis’s grave. Quite thought provoking as here lies perhaps the world biggest icon of the 20th century.
@Roadglide what was it like? I plan to go soon
As a TH-cam addict, I consider myself a professional critic of of TH-cam! After watching mist of your episodes, I have to say, without a doubt, I find your channel educational, respectful and most of all very entertaining! Well done please keep them coming and thank you, I look forward to watching what's next.
James Hobbs you are no more or less than anyone who watches TH-cam, an opinion is simply that an opinion.
This morbid channel about where stars ⭐️ are laid to rest actually makes interesting watching. Thank you. ❤️

I can’t begin to think how many hours you had to put in to do this. I just want to thank you.
Shock not true at all he had to put all these videos together give us the info voice over and share it with us. It wasn’t all Arthur Darks work but he did do a lot of work to put it together along with lots of loyal viewers
I agree. They're all very well done.
@Shock
Try editing (laying down music, voiceovers, etc) a video of this length & get back w/us (in about 2-3 DAYS) & let is know how EASY it was.

Johny Cash & Elvis some of my earliest happy memories 💜🎶💜
I just wanted to comment and say that that is my artwork on Tammy Wynette's grave. Gave me a thrill to see it in the video!!!
Wonderful!
I love your artwork
Mr. Rogers ♥️ thank you for all you taught me.
You said it. 👍👍
If he had been Catholic, easily he would have been made a Saint. What a special, special human being!
@@queencerseilannister3519 - I Love your comment & you are 100% right. 👍
Very beautiful headstones and mausoleums. May everyone Rest in peace. God bless
Just sitting here watching this and when you came across the one from mr. Rogers his wife actually just passed away several weeks ago he truly was Pittsburgh's favorite neighbor
So much history and memories in cemeteries!!!
I don't think I had ever seen Mr. Rogers grave before. I live in Tennessee so most of the graves I was aware of, but I didn't know Donna Summer was buried there. Great video!
Isaac hayes movie th shaft grave place tennessee
I'm relieved I'm not the only one who enjoys graveyards. Great job Hollywood Graveyard!
I think Elvis’s twin brother should be buried at Graceland as well🎸❤️
Annette Findlay If I'm not mistaken he is.
Joy Sheets no it’s just a plaque, Jesse isn’t actually in there as Jesse was buried in an unmarked grave somewhere in Tupelo. That grave still has not been found
Markie oh ok, thanks for sharing.
He is.
Elvis' brother was buried in a shoe box.
They know about where he was buried.
The problem is there would be little or nothing left of the remains.
I hate the missed opportunity at Bessie smiths grave. Her headstone was purchased by Janis Joplin. She didn’t have a marker until Janis had one made, as she was her biggest inspiration. August 8th 1970 to be exact. 💙
Brilliant Documentary and Genius author/narrator- from the Philippines who love Hollywood.
This was a major treasure to see!! Thanks to everyone who participated in this gem!
ELVIS ... #1 Forever.
Anything with Elvis draws attention, it’s just amazing what a phenomenon he is. The greatest of all time 👑

@Roger Jones I was just gonna say that too, he stole chuck berry's songs and performed them like their was his very own

My all time favorite Elvis Presley
Same here. He had his things
I have been to Minnie Pearl's grave as well as to Elvis' .
Very nice video .. you definitely saved the best grave for last!
My mother is buried directly behind "Stephen Foster" in Alleghany Pittsburgh cemetary
I'm from Pittsburgh
24:01 you mean right behind his gravestone?
He’s in the video. So that means your moms behind him in the video.
Fatgod Doebeezy ❤️
she must be very pleased he probably won't be breaking any wind
Another MASTERPIECE! Thank you everybody . and of course you Arthur
that voice is still very much intact!
Tammy Wynette's Stand by your man is a timeless classic.Tony
What a walk down "Memory Lane" of these Iconic Artist! They contributed a lot to society and are greatly missed! R.I.P. All ! 👼🙏👼

Need more Hollywood Graveyard videos, love to watch these!!
When I saw Elvis Presley, I just clicked so fast.
Same hahahaha
The US has some amazing and beautiful memorials to their departed. The UK (where I'm at) may not match those beautiful modern structures but UK has thee most amazing, beautiful classic gothic victorian text book graveyards to the departed.....
Enjoying this channel...so many stars that we thought we had no idea who they are, until we get the cilp to remind us....
I beg to differ--U.K history trumps...just about everything:).

Nothing says that the famous and rich are touchable, human & just like us then death itself. 😢😭
May they all be at peace now & may they always live as legends in our hearts, memories & within each new year.
Forever may they never be forgotten & may their struggles & lifes lessons always be taught to help & guide the rising stars.
the part where you showed the grave of elvis.. i cried right away. I know I'm only 17 years old but I grew up listening to his songs and watching his movies ONLY (no joke till this day)

Love these and to see where we are in Mooresville was a special treat. Thank you kindly everyone who contributed and all who work so hard to bring these lovely episodes to us! :)
I remember the very moment that I heard Elvis died. I was out in the front yard raking leaves, my Mom pops her head out the front door & says; "Elvis is dead." And shuts the door. I sat there with my rake, crying , I was just 13.😭Great video!
I still cry all these years later. He was like family to many and left us too young
I was playing cards with my secretary with the small radio on. When we hear it, we just looked at each other in shock. Elvis was the man.

Janis Joplin bought Bessie's grave stone when she found out she was in an unmarked grave.
Oh realy i did.nt know that
Very sweet of Janis. 🙏
Love me some Janis Joplin...
Yeah; Bessie was an influence to Janis Joplin. She loved the blues. I’m thinking this is where Janis revamped the song ball and chain?
Gwen thanks for this
I used to attend a Swedenborgian church and we learned a lot about Johnny Appleseed and his life. His story is truly a fascinating one and well worth looking into.
