What's your favourite mission editor feature?

For me i think its a combination of Satellite map view coupled with show units on map so i can lay things out nicely, It might have been templates but they just don't seem to behave how I would like them to.

Yeah the templates can be a little fiddly, good for Sam sites just to get all the units needed, then move them how you want and copy paste :)

I have been trying to learn this mission editor for a long time (like forever, but its either this or add som skills for work :) ). But thank you. Just flew my first mission and i realized i missed out alot of how to create fun challenges for me. Bite size chunks. Just great. Thanks!

So I started creating my mission. I understand how to place units and things on the map but how do you spawn your self in the aircraft? I don't see the player option under skill.

Its only available on aircraft you own (highlighted yellow on the list). If you want to use conbined arms then you need to be in a tactical commander slot, which you need to allocate from the menu in the mission editor.

I have a question, after placing an object it will not show on map near the target

There is an option to show or hide units so check these.

if i'm placing planes for people to fly i always try to set the the Task to Nothing
but it's super important when making AI flights that their Task is correct
if you set an AI to try and destroy a ship with Task CAS.... it will fly to WP and then do nothing and RTB

Yeah working with the AI is very tricky. I will make sure to mention that point when I actually make a mission.

I have a question, when i place the object on the map, It is not showing when approching the target

If it wont fire at you then it could be blocked from having line of sight. It could also not be set to a high enough skill. These are good first things to check.
