Thanks a lot for this video. I did a 50 mile trail race a couple years ago and while the uphills were tiring and slowed me down the downhills destroyed me and almost made me DNF. I was also pretty much disabled for a week after. I'm training for a similar 110k trail race in 9 months and I think this video will help a lot. Thanks
i always do pilates and drills near park benches, i use them for dips, pushups, slanted planks, half pushup braces and various other strength workouts. Also ankle weights make good dumbbells and one or two resistance bands, depending on type of workout i feel for the day b4 a jog, i will pack either ankle weights or Resistance bands for Pilates

Here is some advice: Every runner should do squats with weights and deadlifts. It makes your legs and especially your lower back much stronger and your running will improve from these exercises. Also with the right nutrition your body will recover faster after a run. Have a nice day!
Do we need to do all three or perhaps just one? I am so grateful for your video since I will be doing my first three mountain downhill half marathons (one each in July, Sep and Nov) and I was worried about getting the DOMS my running friends talk about. Thank you for this video.
Thank you Claire. How often should I do,the exercises? I just finished my 89 half marathon lifetime, but these downhill races have me worried. I have an international flight the day after the first one, so your tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
