FishBee Productions yeah that’s the problem. I’ll wait and see when the pixel 4 XL comes out before I make decision. One plus 7 pro seems awesome though. Pixel camera may be the deal breaker but one plus price is really good. Tough decision 🤷🏼♂️
I remember your video on the OnePlus One, and loving it. I bought it after seeing your video, and have loved it for many years after. Then I got three, and now I'm watching you again, and guess what, I ordered one again.😊 Wish I could personally thank you, but I hope you'll see this, this way. Thanks, for helping out with one of today's hardest decisions in the world. 🙏
If it wasn't for MrMobile. I wouldn't have found this channel! I own the OnePlus 7 Pro and watching this review a year late makes me re-appreciate this amazing device! Your reviews are detailed, straight forward and feels very honest & genuine! Subscribed and cannot wait to see more videos from you! thank you!
Josh, I like your review of the oneplus 7 pro. I think this device is geared more to the mobile gamer than the everyday user. Because, as a mobile gamer I can appreciate the 90hz refresh. Most, smartphone users only care about the cameras and image stabilization and etc.
How is the heat on the phone? I'm also thinking of getting the grey version because I don't really like the way they made the blue with the matte finish.
I clicked on your review because I find the question very pertinent. My answer is basically if you don't play a lot of games on your phone, this thing is more phone than you need. In other feedback, I'm using one atm and the case I had to buy adds to the bulk and covers up that fabulous blue. The battery doesn't make it through the day if I'm power using it, and I have to get a headphone adapter of buy new headphones. It's hugely capable; I need something good for work emails, smaller and lighter and less of a tablet. That said if I keep this I'll probably never buy a tablet again.
I had a 256/8ram model. It was by far my favorite phone of all time. That's saying something. I had phones from the nexus 6 the s7 edge, moto x, a51, iphone SE 2nd gen, OnePlus 9 and pixel 7 pro. The nexus 6 was my favorite until the OnePlus 7 pro and it has stayed that way. I love my pixel but there's something special about the oneplus 7 pro
For me the brand is the one that gives you the best value, Oneplus has never been a cheap phone manufacturer, it's aim is "value for your money", so their prices go up at the same rate that the overall premium market segment does, which is the segment they have always compared their prices with. In 2014 when OnePlus release their first phone the price diference with the Samsung flagship that year was around $300; 5 years later that price difference with the Oneplus 7 Pro and the S10+ is still $300. The price bump is necessary to maintain the market segment they are after, the one looking for best value, not the lowest price. For me the only thing missing is the wireless charging but then again warp charge should be more than fine, what I dont understand is the IP rating obsession, the phone is more than capable of surviving under water or the ocassional splash and even with the official rating the warranty would not cover water damage, just like every other device in the market with or without the certification.
@@2010ngojo I don't know about that, I mean sure there are devices like the Pocophone but other than specs like chipset or ram don't deliver in being on par with the flagships in built quality, screen, design, camera and overall software and performance. The thing is that if the company wants to be able to keep stealing away customers from Samsung or Apple their materials and components must follow suit, that's why now they had to include a quad HD display, stereo speakers, 90hz screens, three cameras, etc, and those don't come cheap, but that's the price need it if they want you to compare their phones in terms of value with those leading brands and not with cheaper devices.
Many thanks Josh! Been following you for a while now .. Y'r phone reviews are surgical and linguistically so well. Using Oneplus too. My second one already (1+6T) .. Has the audio quality on 1+7T improved? Perlas ng Silanganan din ako ..
It is a solid phone. I just miss certain things coming from the Pixel like the always on display and the wireless charging. The finger scanner is hit or miss so I just end up using the swipe instead.
Different usage patterns. No standard for testing. But honestly even with average battery the warp charge makes it a non issue. My only criticism is missing wireless charging and camera. But the camera is more than good enough and I have high hopes for improvements with updates and as a fallback gCam.
@@argenys I understand that it varies from user to user but for reviewers to have such contrasting experience is a little strange. I personally don't care about wireless charging especially because the standard way is so fast but it's also because I've never used it so don't have experience with its convenience. Yeah, hoping that the camera will be improved and anyway the gcam will be out soon. Not sure if they'll be able to incorporate the usage of all the cameras though.
Just received my OnePlus 7pro and the first time booting it up I got a Qualcomm crashdump error code or whatever and it won't turn off or nothing. OnePlus said I am the second one with this issue. Hopefully the last too.
@Leakin Why? OnePlus needs to raise bar with the Camera especially with the Pro model, just look at Xiaomi MI 9 Camera, how much it has improved, and it's other specs are pretty identical to OnePlus and other Flagship smartphones. And phone sell for under 500$. Abeit MIUI software is kinda bad to be honest.
No screen tap to wake? Kind of ruins the in display scanner. Might at well put the fingerprint reader in the power button because you still need to press it to turn the screen on.
I think the OnePlus 7 is a much more exciting device here in the UK at 499 with the same internal as the pro minus the warp charging and dual speaker only thing you're really missing on the 7 is the 90hz qhd display but I don't think it's worth the price jump
1. How is the new Vibration motor compared to Apple's Taptic Engine? 2. Some said the dual speakers were muffled compared S10+ at high volume is that true? 3. The curved angle at the sides seem to be overboard to the point of distorting content at the sides ?
Apple's Taptic engine is on a different level! But OP7s motor is superb No, It is actually louder than the S10+. But some units' sound might distort a little at higher volume No, the curves are very subtle and doesn't go overboard!
I don't get why people aren't really testing this - namely TH-camrs and it infuriates me. Did you compare the phone's camera with other flagships, at all? Did you zoom in and not seen the 48MP sensor completely screwing up image quality - worse still, the refresh rate is quoted and yet even in supported games doesn't even output more than 60Hz. Is this marketing spiel, probably.
I am interested in knowing how's camera, every year some reviewers praise the camera of one plus but I never liked camera on one plus. I love pics my iPhone max or s10 plus clicks. How does it do in comparison to them? Only thing I am really enticed by one plus 7 pro is screen till now
Hey man, the oneplus 7 has a 48MP camera and nothing else is mentioned about the second camera on the back! But I've a doubt whether it'll perform as good as the 20MP+16MP camera on Oneplus 6T or will be just a gimmick like the 48MP on lower end phones like Redmi 7 Pro?
@@vedantsingp They have the same cameras, just one missing. The main camera sensor and secondary are the same, so same main camera quality. If it has less points, it'll be slightly less only.
Depends on usage. Huawei P30 pro has a good battery but that results in no whatsapp message notifications and missed notifications. My S10+ gives me inconsistent battery life. It depends on how you use it!

It is absolutely amazing value phone especially in USA.
