You guys might like the decoding videos that pop up after she has a new music video. I've heard some reactors and seen comments from people who don't like ME! Their reasons mostly boil down to disappointment because they are huge fans of Reputation, wanted Taylor to have a chip on her shoulder and write big heavy songs aimed at her critics . It is stupid. This song is important to _Taylor_ . I know that because 1) it was the first single, with a music video. 2) it was a rare collaboration, this time with Brendon Urie; 3) it is showcased in her Miss Americana documentary both in the studio and on set for the video; 4) She did several live performances of the song before the album was out; 5) Taylor had some really bad days during her pre - Reputation period of isolation, and the song is about loving yourself. It is a mental health reminder. The song is also a reminder from Taylor that music is supposed to be fun. One of the main things people say about it is it is a children's song, or "too Disney" ---- while not acknowledging that Taylor was a huge Disney fan as a child, and that several of her songs over the years were put on albums because of her sense of humor (Stay Stay Stay: "it's so fun! giggle"). Personally, I love this song; the video is amazing. It was a song she wrote with Joel Little; maybe one of the first for the new album. It is like the people who dismiss Shake It Off as bubblegum; they didn't get it. Have fun, get rid of the stress, enjoy yourself. And the rainbows are an Easter Egg for the next single, YNTCD, an LGBTQ+ anthem released on Donald J Trump's BIRTHDAY. I've never felt angry about the existence of people who are different from me. Also, my mother died (of old age, and cancer) a few months before I heard this album. If you haven't listened to it, listen to Soon You'll Get Better. (also, for another song showcasing her humor: the opening track is "I Forgot That You Existed" (the quotes are part of the title, lol).
There is a bit where they are recording the song and over the top was exactly what she was looking for. This is totally Taylor's vision for it! I have always loved it!
This one is just FUN! It belongs on a Broadway stage or in a musical film. The song itself is not the deepest in concept but I don't think it was meant to be. It's made for a sing-along while you're dancing around the house in your PJs. ❤
Chats & reacts have said numerous times that if we got a piano version of this song, there might be more to fathom as far as it being deeper than what it seems. Especially after we get tortured poets, I’m scared a lot of these songs where Taylor takes accountability for a lot of the relationship issues her and joe had will kind of change meaning... I’m so nervous lol
@@mayadrachmann5138 I was lucky enough to meet them at the meet up before the Santa Clara show! They’re everything you wish they were! Chatty and sweet and hilarious and tall and gorgeous! Then I saw them again at the show like next day and Emily ran over and totally remembered me lol… I’ll forever be a fan!
Taylor has a vision for her music, her success & her life. This package includes talented songwriter/ singer, smart business woman, kind & generous human, emotionally vulnerable, sexy woman and Yes Fun & Dorky too!! 😂 This one is the silly we love but it has an important message of self love - MASTERMIND! 🤍😊
I don’t think Taylor knows what the word budget is in regards to her videos cause they are always over the top and I love it! I feel like there has been a lot less emphasis on music videos over the years and I miss it so I love when she releases a video.
I love this song and video, not just because it’s fun and the video is amazing but even more for why it was written. In the Miss Americana documentary there’s so much great material about who she is, what she’s been through and what influences her songwriting. The film ends with both the Reputation tour and her recording of Lover and there’s a section on this song and her ideas for the video. I think people forget because the music was so good how dark a time in her life the year before Reputation was and how that influenced the album. Yes she found love and had a mega hit album but she also had to constantly live with that dark time and its image, the snake, for a long time. When she was writing Me she wanted something fun to metaphorically cleanse her palate for a new era (she’s all about eras). She wanted the snakes to become butterflies, she choose Brandon Urie (perfect I thought) who’s all about fun. She was happy, in love and wanted the first song of a great but unfortunately underrated by a lot of fans, album. She specifically mentions she wanted rainbows, unicorns, bright colours and over the top pop fun so there would be no doubt she had moved on to a much happier place. Her music always reflects her life which is a very important part of what makes her great. Yes unhappiness, sadness & feeling hated produced a great bounce back “in your face haters” album but she wouldn’t be human if there wasn’t a cost to that. If it didn’t always remind her of where that music came from, just like any trauma any of us have faced. She wanted to wipe the slate clean and reset, Reputation videos were amazing and over the top as well, just in a very dark palate. She wanted bright, happy and to create a new era free of the snake where colour and joy existed. I don’t think she could have made a better choice for that reset and she wouldn’t be the Taylor we love if she didn’t go all out doing it. She also still had some subtle fun in the lyrics with the media’s perception of her being dramatic or critical about her love life and basically said “you think I’m over the top, well I might as well have fun with it and be more out there then you can imagine”. Lover has so many amazing songs. Being happy didn’t make her less brilliant it just has for the most part a more positive outlook. No matter where that relationship ended I loved happy Taylor, it produced some incredible songs and one not happy but incredibly beautiful masterpiece that is so true and heartfelt I still tear up every time I listen to it. For good reason Taylor never made a video for this song and doesn’t perform it live except once during COVID for charity and because she knew how many people were feeling that specific type of emotion during those terrible days. I would love to see you react to Soon You’ll Get Better, the song she wrote about how she was feeling when her mother was battling cancer for the second time. I challenge anyone who’s ever lost a loved one or been with them through a battle with not just cancer but any disease (Covid, etc) to make it through this song without tears flowing. For me it was also my mom and we lost her, it was 2011 but listening to this song still brings it back and heals through the connection and understanding of this perfect in its emotional truth song. The Chicks add a beautiful layer on the harmonies and with the instrumentation and I love that she subtly thanked them & nodded to this song with the inclusion of a picture of The Chicks among a wall full of pictures of actual chicks to punctuate the “there’s a lot of cool chicks out there” line in the Me video (their picture is prominently shown over Brandon’s right shoulder when they cut back to the apartment. Sorry for the novel but I have a lot of strong feelings about how important and amazing Lover is and this song (link below) will never stop filling my heart. Soon You’ll Get Better - th-cam.com/video/2P-uLAQ9FCI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wZCuUNdKd-_2bilA PS. You really need to react to Miss Americana (Netflix), its key to understanding the real Taylor and what shaped the woman she’s become.
I love the "ME!" song and the video. There will always be people who can't or won't see the fun in things that are meant to be fun. The beauty of Taylor's career is that she makes different types of music and in many genres. Some want to put her into specific boxes that they created for her. There will always be snobs who can't just enjoy things for what they are intended to be. Thanks for the reaction.
I always loved this song too!!! Esp. because it so hugely encourages the idea of embracing what makes you, you and not trying to be one of the crowd just to be accepted or loved. Plus it's just plain silly, goofy and fun!!!
In case no one has mentioned it, Taylor also directed this video. I've always liked this song, and the video is great. ❤ Oh, and most people don't notice this, at the beginning, when he sings about other cool chicks out there, the picture on the wall is the Dixie Chicks.
watch the behind the scenes for this --- neither of them actually _speak_ French, and they had a coach to help them get it right. also, Taylor doesn't need to bother worrying about budgets for the videos --- they always make more than they cost.
I love her for doing these types of things and not taking herself so seriously all the time. Sometimes it's about having fun, not all the songs have to be deep and emotional. She said she wanted to put everything that she liked and defined her in an overwhelming music video (it's on purpose), it's very sad people claim to hate it.
Usually, if someone doesn't like a Taylor song, they haven't fathomed it yet. I don't mean they don't understand it... I mean they are not able to place themselves in that situation and realize holy cow there's a song that perfectly describes what I'm feeling. A lot of people don't have a good view of themselves, so it's hard to truly jam to ME! without that self-love part at first.
For me the song ME and video has very similar vibes to You Need to Calm Down, which they reference in the beginning French part of this. YNTCD has a different director, but Taylor always has clear ideas about the look and feel of her videos, so that is the common thread even when she's working with different production crews. I don't recall if you've watched that video yet, but it would be a good next song. On that one you may want to look up the list of cameos after you watch the video and then re-watch it. The ME! video is a technicolor explosion and it's awesome, but I have to say that the song itself isn't one I have on repeat. If there was a stripped down acoustic version (maybe there is??), I would definitely be more interested in that. As far as production of music videos goes, Taylor seemingly has massive budgets for all of her music videos and I've never seen a bad one in the mix. The ones that most newbies really like are ones where she worked with Joseph Khan. He won a Grammy for the Bad Blood mv. He also produced directed Blank Space, Wildest Dreams, Out of the Woods, ...Ready For It?, Look What You Made Me Do, End Game, and Delicate. Thanks to Wikipedia, I think that's all of them. He's worked with lots of other artists as well. In recent years, she has started taking on that producing & directing role herself without sacrificing the concepts or quality of the videos. On the ME mv Taylor worked with Dave Meyers, who has also worked with a bunch of other A-list artists including Taylor's good friends Selena and Ed Sheeran.
Thanks for appreciating this song! Is it her best? No, but like you said it’s a lot of fun (especially singing along to it in your car) and if you’ve seen her „miss Americana“ documentary you also know that she had so much fun writing it. It’s about self-love and always changes my mood for the better when I listen to it. I don’t see how there could be anything wrong with a song like that.
I enjoyed your reaction! 🙂 I liked the video pauses for comments in the moment. 👍 A 1-second comment with the video playing is okay...for longer comments I think a pause is better than talking over the video. 🤷 Again, I enjoyed your reaction! Thanks!
I love this song! I’ve particularly love it when I am in an energetic, happy mood. 😊 The making of a song video is fantastic. She loves this song! The expression on her face and she played it live at the Era's tour, and everyone sang along and enjoyed it-PRICELESS!. CRUEL Summercool was supposed to be the first single from this album, but they decided that might be a little inappropriate as it was summer of 2020. This one came out, and was a stark contrast to the Reputation album which had come out before people weren’t ready for it.
I like this song. People just hate extremely happy songs after Reputation being so dark. Also, the other song I know people hate is It’s Nice to Have a Friend. I don’t mind it. I know some don’t know that song was mostly written by a children’s music school and their teacher and asked her to write lyrics and didn’t go to deep on them because well it’s for the kids education. Also, she has it where all the sales and royalties from the song goes to that school. So I kinda get mad when people speak so poorly about it when it has a bigger purpose than just a song on the album when it’s for kids music education.
This is also my first time watching this music video, but I have heard of this song before. i thought it was a really fun song. MV may be over the top, but I think it suits the song. And holy smokes, i did not realize, Taylor is super tall 😂💜
People who just listen her pop songs like this song will never understand how she is so talented after listening to folklore and evermore albums I knew how she is true artist.
Some of her pop stuff is great, primarily 1989 (except Bad Blood which is as bad as this song) and Reputation. None of it compares to the intelligent more complex albums she’s done in her 30s Some of Lover is downright terrible including this song
Lots of nods to many classic films. Sidenote- she bought, restored & got landmark status for the Goldwyn estate (G of MGM studios) - also her brother studied film and handles her sync licenses to tv/film. Actress Grace Kelly (who learned french in school & moved to a country that spoke French) was from Philadelphia (which is the closest major city that TS grew up). I wonder if her grandparents were an influence with this exposure. She has always been interested in history, museums & vintage shopping - her producer & her bonded over Kennedy history. At one point she met JFK's brother's widow- and dated the grandson- she was mentioned in a Kennedy memoir. She references literature & history in her music- roaring 20s, 1950s, 90s trends, etc. Basically her music is a time capsule of pop culture from her viewpoint/interpretation.
I’ve always thought this song is catchy as hell, a great silly factor and a great message! I’ve only seen this performed live though and I really liked it! The video…super fun!
I love ME! This one comes on her 7th album, so this far in Taylor has more than proven she can write deep lyrics, with that knowledge it should be safe to assume she wanted this song to be just this: fun and lighthearted. I also love that while the song is called ME! It not self centered, but does also say "you're the only one of you, that's the fun of you." With so many high standards in society, it's nice to celebrate everyone and what makes them unique. She did say in the recording studio (shown in Miss Americana) that she wanted kids to happily sing the chorus "me he he, I'm the only one of me." And while I prefer her sad songs, there are just too happy days when I do not want to listen to This is Me Trying, Tolerate It, etc etc... I'm glad you had fun with this one, comment to you on the next one, guys! ✌🏼😊
You should react to the Grammy museum. She talks about how she wrote and produced 1989 album. Then she performs a few songs live just her and her instruments. It would really help to gain more of an insight of her as a musician. Or even something off speak now album. She got lots of hate when she was younger and people said she didn’t write her own music. So when she was 18/19 she ended up writing an entire album with ZERO co writers just to prove a point ❤ (but if you react to anything before reputation make sure it’s Taylor’s version we don’t want to support scooter Braun lol)
I don't know why people hate on ME! so much. It's from the lover album which is more fun and light and upbeat so it fits with the vibe of the album. Personally I like that Taylor has so many different styles of songs so there is one that fits every occasion. Sometimes I just want to listen to pop songs that make me happy, and this one definitely makes me happy.
I have always loved this song. I think the story and dialogue between Taylor and Brandon in the lyrics is brilliant, as always with her songwriting. I have always been a fan of Panic! So i was excited when this collaboration happened. And yes the music video is over the top but so fun and bright. I think it captured the vibe of the message in the lyrics. Great reaction, I am totally here for this journey with y'all!
I personally love this song! It’s a good pump up song that I blast on my way to work. It gets me in a positive mood. And I’m a teacher…I need a positive mood 😊
I think whats so interesting about this song is its diversity, and what I mean by that is I also was not the biggest fan of Me! when it came out because I always liked her songs that were a little more lyrically based- but then I heard it when she slowed it down and played it on the piano. It BLEW my mind, the tempo and vibe were totally different and you were able to focus more on the lyrics rather than the funk and glitter (though I am not opposed to her Glitter Gel Pen lol) but this song on a piano is a must listen if this version is a little overwhelming!! Love the Taylor reactions, keep it up!!
Me! has been the highest rated song on the Lover album in Brazil. And the Brazilian Eras Tour Crowds went wild when she sang in during her concert dates there. So, the “Me! is not great” opinion, is a US-culture bias phenomenon.
I would love to hear Me! on piano during secret songs. I actuallly think it would sound sad and beautiful (kinda like in Miss Americana when she’s writing it)
It hurts every time someone says this is her worse song, cause it’s the song that made me deep dive into Taylor’s discography because I was a Panic! fan and just saw them in concert, before that I was just a radio listener of Taylor.
I've been a ME! stan since day 1 even though I'm not the biggest fan of bubblegum pop because it's lighthearted and fun and not everything has to be miserable all the time. One thing to understand about Taylor - which I think the general public, press, and even newer fans don't necessarily get because of how isolated she was for so long - is that she has a great sense of humor and doesn't take herself too seriously. Deep down she's never stopped being the earnest dorky goofball those of us who have been around since the early days came to love. Based on this and your Blank Space video you guys seem to understand that intuitively on some level, which is remarkable because people tend to critique her work at face value without trying to understand the emotion behind it. Watch for that in future listens: Often when something seems cringe or like she's leaning into stereotypes, she's satirizing the people who stereotype her. And sometimes, like with ME!, she's embracing the stereotypes because there's nothing wrong with them.
I love this song. It is fun, the video is like a trip through candy land. Shake it off is my least fave song but I love the video for it. I don't think she has a truly bad song she just has more depth and meanings in others. Nothing wrong with not taking things so seriously.
Can't wait to see your reaction to Taylor's Wildest Dreams video! It seems like the perfect one for your channel (classic Hollywood movie concept) In this video Taylor plays the role of a fictional actress Marjorie Finn inspired by her own grandmother Marjorie Finlay. In fact, it would be really interesting if you watched the official Lyric Video of "marjorie" (song of the Evermore album) where you could learn more about her source of inspiration and then watch Wildest Dreams...
I had never seen this, but I thought it was great. I wonder if this song was released when she was transitioning through genres and the old genre fans just weren't on board with the new sound yet? Just speculation, I've no real idea. But colorful and fun.
TBH I liked most of Lover, and I'd adored Reputation. It was just jarring, I'd expected better single-picking with the new label, and the lyrics on this one are so... shallow, it was a real shock to the system. If it'd been a ballad with shallow lyrics I'd have been just as upset, it's not the upbeat nature that threw me. It's a skip for me, my kids like it, and that's fine! I definitely like other peppy poppy songs by her tho!
My first time for the song too & the lyrics basically sounds like they are telling people to celebrate their originality. To me, this sounds like 'you do you' & accept yourself for who you are. And I don't think the rainbow colors are an accident... just sayin'. This old 71 year old broad loved it.
I love this song, Just like I love BTS's Dynamite, and I know how deep their songs are. And I love both songs, and they are just pop hits, feel good songs. And there is nothing wrong with that.
Fun Fact: the little kitten in the music video was up for adoption and Taylor fell in love with him so much so she adopted Benjamin. 🥰

There is a "behind the scenes" video on youtube from when they made this. You guys might find it interesting
I second this!
I third that
Yes, please check that out!!!
Great! I’ll look it up ! Thanks!!
There's more than one bts for this one ---- but I do like the kitten one.
It’s as fun as spelling, you could say 😂😂
Chats & reacts have said numerous times that if we got a piano version of this song, there might be more to fathom as far as it being deeper than what it seems. Especially after we get tortured poets, I’m scared a lot of these songs where Taylor takes accountability for a lot of the relationship issues her and joe had will kind of change meaning... I’m so nervous lol
@@Ktcsr17 I absolutely love Chats and Reacts! They are the sweetest! Really recommend watching their videos to anyone who hasn't yet
This one is the silly we love but it has an important message of self love - MASTERMIND! 🤍😊
I don’t think Taylor knows what the word budget is in regards to her videos cause they are always over the top and I love it! I feel like there has been a lot less emphasis on music videos over the years and I miss it so I love when she releases a video.
Ahhhh this is my moment!!! 😂😂😂 ME He Heeee! I clicked so fast!
Soon You’ll Get Better - th-cam.com/video/2P-uLAQ9FCI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wZCuUNdKd-_2bilA
PS. You really need to react to Miss Americana (Netflix), its key to understanding the real Taylor and what shaped the woman she’s become.
I love it & it has a great message 🌈 💖
this is one of my fave taylor songs!!
Plus it's just plain silly, goofy and fun!!!
justice for ME! it is a great song!!
In case no one has mentioned it, Taylor also directed this video. I've always liked this song, and the video is great. ❤
Oh, and most people don't notice this, at the beginning, when he sings about other cool chicks out there, the picture on the wall is the Dixie Chicks.
watch the behind the scenes for this --- neither of them actually _speak_ French, and they had a coach to help them get it right. also, Taylor doesn't need to bother worrying about budgets for the videos --- they always make more than they cost.
I love her for doing these types of things and not taking herself so seriously all the time. Sometimes it's about having fun, not all the songs have to be deep and emotional. She said she wanted to put everything that she liked and defined her in an overwhelming music video (it's on purpose), it's very sad people claim to hate it.
Taylor's caliber is so high that this is labelled her 'worst song'. Is it my favourite? No, but it is still really good and fun!
I enjoy this song for what it is. It's definitely not her best, but I love the message. I also think it's so sweet that this is how she got Benjamin 🥰
This a great song for young girls and young women to celebrate themselves, and the poppiness provides a cheerful base supporting the message.
I love this song! It’s just a happy vibe!
It's not bad!!! It's awesome!!! ❤❤❤
I enjoyed your reaction! 🙂
I liked the video pauses for comments in the moment. 👍 A 1-second comment with the video playing is okay...for longer comments I think a pause is better than talking over the video. 🤷
Again, I enjoyed your reaction! Thanks!
This is such a fun colorful and happy song. They're definately having a good time in this video. Stay safe❤
One of my favourite taylor swift songs don't get why ppl hating on it so much! It's fun and positive 🎉
Great, honest reaction, as always! Love the song and the video! It’s so fun! Glad you all thought so too!
I’m having fun.
She’s not short on money.
It was reminiscent of children’s theater. Colorful. Catchy. Kitten.
🌻
I love this song! I’ve particularly love it when I am in an energetic, happy mood. 😊
The making of a song video is fantastic.
This is a great song
I like this song. People just hate extremely happy songs after Reputation being so dark.
Also, the other song I know people hate is It’s Nice to Have a Friend. I don’t mind it. I know some don’t know that song was mostly written by a children’s music school and their teacher and asked her to write lyrics and didn’t go to deep on them because well it’s for the kids education. Also, she has it where all the sales and royalties from the song goes to that school. So I kinda get mad when people speak so poorly about it when it has a bigger purpose than just a song on the album when it’s for kids music education.
This song is actually my top 5 from Lover album. People just hate being fun.
Such a good song!
Will never understand why people don’t like this song. I LOVE the music video! Love the colors so much!
This is also my first time watching this music video, but I have heard of this song before. i thought it was a really fun song. MV may be over the top, but I think it suits the song. And holy smokes, i did not realize, Taylor is super tall 😂💜
she seems to be 5 ' 11" barefoot. And, she likes heels ! Taller than several of the boys she's been with. (Jonas, Lautner, Mayer, Styles)
I love this song
People who just listen her pop songs like this song will never understand how she is so talented after listening to folklore and evermore albums I knew how she is true artist.
Some of her pop stuff is great, primarily 1989 (except Bad Blood which is as bad as this song) and Reputation.
None of it compares to the intelligent more complex albums she’s done in her 30s
Some of Lover is downright terrible including this song
Well put.
This video is so damn cute. I love it. The song makes me smile. Thank you for your reaction gentlemen. 😎
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’ve always thought this song is catchy as hell, a great silly factor and a great message! I’ve only seen this performed live though and I really liked it! The video…super fun!
The live when she debuted it was awesomely fun, too! ❤
I love this song !!! 💗 and Brendon Uries voice is amazing!!! Love him too !!
She did say in the recording studio (shown in Miss Americana) that she wanted kids to happily sing the chorus "me he he, I'm the only one of me."
And while I prefer her sad songs, there are just too happy days when I do not want to listen to This is Me Trying, Tolerate It, etc etc...
I'm glad you had fun with this one, comment to you on the next one, guys! ✌🏼😊
I LOVE this song. it's one of my fav's by her! I'm was surprised to hear some don't
I personally love the song and video! Alot of the Swifties get too serious and hate on the fun side of Taylor !
This song is great.
I don't know why people hate on ME! so much. It's from the lover album which is more fun and light and upbeat so it fits with the vibe of the album.
Personally I like that Taylor has so many different styles of songs so there is one that fits every occasion. Sometimes I just want to listen to pop songs that make me happy, and this one definitely makes me happy.
its catchy, ill watch it
You will find yourself singing this tune in your head ALL DAY! 😅🎵🎶🎉😊
I love it!
I love 'ME' ❤
I've been watching ur reaction videos for a while now but when u both said u like this one, thats a signal for me to SUBSCRIBE. 😁
I love this song.
AwesoME reaction. LOL
I personally love this song! It’s a good pump up song that I blast on my way to work. It gets me in a positive mood. And I’m a teacher…I need a positive mood 😊
🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 this song is 100% pure fun!
Mika double reaction to Grace Kelly and Tiny Love ⏳⏳😍😍
I think whats so interesting about this song is its diversity, and what I mean by that is I also was not the biggest fan of Me! when it came out because I always liked her songs that were a little more lyrically based- but then I heard it when she slowed it down and played it on the piano. It BLEW my mind, the tempo and vibe were totally different and you were able to focus more on the lyrics rather than the funk and glitter (though I am not opposed to her Glitter Gel Pen lol) but this song on a piano is a must listen if this version is a little overwhelming!! Love the Taylor reactions, keep it up!!
I love this song!
Love your reactions. I wish you'd put the lyrics on while you watch.
It's a great song.....I wouldn't listen to it everyday like I do other songs, but the song and video are great in their own way!
WTH?!?!?! I LOVE that song AND video!!!!!
Me! has been the highest rated song on the Lover album in Brazil. And the Brazilian Eras Tour Crowds went wild when she sang in during her concert dates there. So, the “Me! is not great” opinion, is a US-culture bias phenomenon.
This was great, I loved it 🎉
I love this song and the video!!! But that’s just me lol…..next you guys should do “VIGILANTE SH*T”
I love this song and video!!
I would love to hear Me! on piano during secret songs. I actuallly think it would sound sad and beautiful (kinda like in Miss Americana when she’s writing it)
its a fun bopp, people need to lighten up lmao. its like a pastel color palatte threw up on screen lmao in audio and video form XD
love yallll :)
I actually love this song and video. 🤷🏻♀️
You should check out into out of the woods. And the bts of ot
I never understood the hate for Me!. It's a fun song.
This is not a bad song at all. I love this song. The music video is also fantastic.
This is a great fun song. Just because its uncomplicated and fun, coming right after the Reputation album, people went into a hissy.
Hi UnholyKat! We think it’s just them having fun with a lighthearted video. The song is just fun!
React to cowboy like me next please!!! Her storytelling is peak greatness in the song.
I had never seen this, but I thought it was great. I wonder if this song was released when she was transitioning through genres and the old genre fans just weren't on board with the new sound yet? Just speculation, I've no real idea. But colorful and fun.
From what we’ve read in the comments so far, we think you’re right 👍🏻
TBH I liked most of Lover, and I'd adored Reputation.
This is not one of my fav Taylor songs, but it’s definitely not horrible and it is TOTALLY fun for sure!
I'm a "Me!" stan and proud! 🌈🦄
