What I found which worked for me when my fitbit versa wasn't charging - was to hold down all the buttons until the FitBit logo came up (around 20 secs until it showed) and then I immediately put it on the charger and began to work :)

i read comments saying they didn’t hold the button long enough and I think that’s it. Mine was dead like DEAD DEAD 0% in red and everything the screen would flicker when I held the button. I had to do it like 3-5x and then finally the logo popped up and I could charge it. This was literally like 5 minutes ago so I was about to lose hope. Idk why it does that other than because it’s at 0% and has no juice. Anyways if you still have it it’s worth a shot! you have to hold it for like 20+ seconds

Your suggesting to hold in side button until Fitbit logo appeared on blank screen, plus cleaning watch back and charger contacts with rubbing alcohol on swab did the trick . . . thank you!

The long hold on the reset button worked in my friend’s Versa 2. I kept left side button down for 3-4 minutes before the blue dot Fitbit logo appeared and now all back to normal.

I let the battery totally drain and it wasn't charging.... I thought. I held down the bottom until the logo appeared and then I saw that it charged a little. Plugged it back into the charger and all is good. Thank you so much!!!!
The wife has one with three buttons and said "This isnt working" when I asked for more detail I got 'its not doing anything'.. hard reset and she was at 6.. a few minutes on the cradle and 15. So big thumbs up for helping another husband with '0' details as to the issue.

I did all the steps and nothing so I read the comments and went ahead and tried pressing all three buttons together and that finally worked! Now it charges! I was so close to buying a new charger when I didn’t

I cleaned and tested VDC with meters. Didn't even use alcohol on the charger and contacts. 1 week dead, now it works. As an electrician, I'm ashamed.

Omw thank you so much... I tried so many times to charge it. My battery was already dead. I watched your video and held the side button for 20 seconds (although I knew the battery was dead and it won't switch on). I then wiped the charger and the fitbit with an alcohol wipe. Then charged it. It's charging now. God bless you. Thank you
YES! Mine was totally dead, even after trying all the tips. The alcohol cleaning, however, was the game changer! Worked immediately!

This worked like a dream, I didn't have alcohol but contact lens solution worked very well.
So what ya do when your pin connections on the watch are warn off and now just 4 holes? Yeah, exactly. Can't always polish a turd with a google search.
Thanks for all the tips! I suggest you also check the strap you're using. Once I took it off, it started charging again...the pins must have gotten in the way of the connection.

Thanks for the idea of hard reset although the single button did not work, I had to push all 3 buttons down for 10sec and it reset.

THANK YOU! Mine was completely dead and would not charge.... I had already tried different plugs etc but your suggestion of holding down the button longer than usual worked! I have reset it that way before but have never had to hold it down that long! One suggestion, dont put it on the charger until you see your clock face--I make the mistake of putting it on the charger once I saw the logo but it just went black again. Tried a second time but waited and viola!

This did not fix my problem. when I turn over my watch the dots that connect to the pins my second dont from the side that does not have the button on it is smaller and deeper than the other 3 pins. do I have a defective unit?

I have a possibly dumb question. I've tried to restart it and there doesn't appear to be a button working at all. I'm fairly certain I have a Versa 2 and not a Versa 3 and can't seem to find either. My fitbit hasn't worked in a day or so now and have been unsuccessful in rebooting it though I've tried to follow tutorials. I've tried to clean the charger as well but can't seem to get it going that way either. Help?

My Versa 2 just won't charge! I did all of the suggested tasks. I've checked the voltage on the charger, and it's 5V. I haven't worn it in about 9 months, so could that be the issue?
The rubbing alcohol did the trick. It was just dirty from being in salt environment and dirt from hiking.

I have the versa 3 Fitbit in pink or rose gold or whatever. My watch was at 0% and whenever I would push the button or tap on the screen it would flicker 0% in Red and then the screen would kind of flicker/flash and turn off! When I held the power button the same thing happened and the fit bit logo wouldn’t show up. I rubbed the charger prongs with alcohol and tried different outlets etc nothing worked and I was losing hope. THEN I read comments saying how they didn’t hold the button long enough and I tried pressing really hard (like that would do anything) and still nothing. I tried again and FINALLY the logo popped up and I plugged that sucker in. Bottom line: don’t give up hope, once the logo comes on it should charge. I literally had to try like 3-5x, I think because it’s literally booting up from 0%.

Versa 1 here, I had to press the left big button and the right lower button for at least 10 seconds and the Versa restarted it was still in low charge, even though it was on the charger for more than 3 hours. Put it back on the charger and it charged right up....odd...

I just got it as a gift earlier this week. It’s only been charged once. I just have a black screen & logo comes on intermittently. Don’t get anything else. So disappointed 😞.tried all the steps, no change.

The issue is there is a red battery with exclamation in the middle on the screen and it pops up for a second then turns off.Connected to charging port but no sign of charging .
My charger isn't working. I left my original on vacation, bought a generic then bought another fit bit one. Niether work. Cleaned with alcohol and on a new tracker 🤷🏾♀️ do I just buy another charger?

My issue is that it isn’t holding a charge. It’ll charge all the way to 100 percent, but after a few hours it right back down to nothing. And I mean just a few hours. I’ve cleaned it but I’ll try cleaning it again with alcohol and see if that may help
