  • The Spin Doctor Tile leveling system features a patented free-spin design that allows the cap to spin down the spacer screw with minimal effort. This allows installers to tighten the cap with only one hand, which is especially useful for installing large format tile. The caps and baseplates are sold separately, the caps are reusable for multiple jobs. Available now!

    I use these on all my tile jobs. I found that the optional friction base is required. Otherwise, as you turn the top, it will create separation between the two tiles.

      I have the same problem when using the clear shields. The shields turn the spacer and open up the grout line. Discovered this only when it was too late. Would not recommend this system as a result.

    So here's the problem I have with these things they're supposed to break off and they don't break off right. there ends up being little bits of plastic sticking up in the grout joints so we have to go back and cut out with a dremel maybe I'm just an old schoolerl but these things seem totally unnecessary to me the part of the floor I did without them looks better than the part that the guy before me used them on

    GreAt system use it all the time for my business tile come out perfect every time . One recommendation after another and same results my Custermer s are very happy with work. I've the Tuscan gun n caps I stop using that system cause it was becoming a little expensive ordering them straps. And the ramondi wedge system out of all 3 this is my favorite . Won't do tile without it

    I’m not sure If this is the area to ask questions if it is here’s the question. I used the system and I love the leveling part but, the only problem I had is when we kicked off the spindles some of the separated part stayed in in the separation was I supposed to wait until it was completely dry or should I of waited an hour to two hours whatever. Please answer.

      Mickey, the Spin Doctor components are to be left in the mortar until the cure cycle has completed (in most cases 24 hours). When breaking the pieces off, you want to make sure you leave the red caps screwed on tightly as the force will help create the perforation. In the case where they did not break out completely, I typically take a rubber mallet or a wood block and knock them out that way. Hope this helps!

      You should have left them for at least 12-15 hours before kicking the tops off!!!

    Why didn't you back butter your tiles?

    • @RTCProducts
      @RTCProducts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      All tile was back buttered, but was cut from the video to decrease the length.

  • @williameverett9840
    @williameverett9840 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why are you not installing the tiles the correct way? You did not back butter any tile. The tile must be back buttered to ensure coverage..

      Thanks for the comment William. This is an instructional video on the installation of the Spin Doctor Lippage Tuning System. However, all tile was actually back buttered.

    Do these come in 1/4” spacer?

    • @RTCProducts
      @RTCProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry, but they do not. If a 1/4" joint is required we recommend using the 3/16" bases and 1/4" spacers or horseshoe shims to get the desired spacing.

    • @jdt8826
      @jdt8826 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok. So I can use the 3/16” base with the spin top for leveling and the 1/4” horse shoe for the 1/4” joint?

      No one wants a 1/4 joint anymore. 1/16 or 1/8 is the way to go.

      Striper how could they be reusable? when part of the unit stays under the tile DAH

    • @Zencthonic
      @Zencthonic 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They can be used as simple spacers between tiles, but will no longer function with the red wheels to stop lippage.

    i think there is need to advance tile level calibrator that can be reused not wasted by kicking..

    • @SilasJura
      @SilasJura 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you watch to the end the red spinner part is reused and the black piece can be used as spacers against the wall and cleaning out mortar while wet.

      Richard William extreme attention to detail is requires to reach the same result as using an anti lippage system. For professionals, production is directly connected to income. This system allows for high quality, high production and lessens the physical stress on installers.

    Brilliant idea but would it potentially create voids where there should be a solid bed?

    • @ssprung82
      @ssprung82 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If proper installation methods are used, no voids would be created. With the forked design of the base piece, it is driven into the mortar and becomes encapsulated.
