Hi thanks for reply about amp needed. for 803. My avr allows biamping so maybe I can use 4 and 5 unused amps on mc255 to get 400 w for each spkr. Can this solve issue? Thanks. Hate buying a new amp.

Have 804 d3 and want to upgrade to 803. Have a mc255 5 channel amp from McIntosh, 200 per channel. use it for 3 channel. Do I need a new amp? Thoughts?
Estimated very good team! only in my opinion I should change the speakers. how ugly the new Bowers sound. instead he would listen to other loudspeakers that would pair better with his great team. Best regard Jonn

In my opinion you need a new amp. The reason is that the 803D3 is the best sound when over 400W per channel.
