  • Siren: ASC T-135 AC/DC, 6 RPM, 477 Hz
Town: Wilmington, IL (Braidwood/Dresden Exelon siren #10)
Location: Main St. and Jackson St.
Test Time: 1st Tuesday 10 AM every month
    Cycle: 45 seconds of alert
Other notes: With the rain today, I decided to hang closer to home and do Exelon again. This time I got the T-135 located smack dab in the middle of downtown Wilmington. I've been meaning to do this one for a while, and I'm glad I finally got to. I wish I would've recorded the P-50 that was here before when I had the chance, but oh well.
Like most other newer Exelon installs, this thing rotates fast, even faster than the ones I recorded last January in La Salle Exelon. This one is in Will County and does one of the shortest tests for Exelon of all the counties around here, which I why I don't come to this county very often.
Also I apologize for my talking in the background. I was live streaming this to Facebook.
At the start, you can hear a couple of T-135s from Grundy County, including the one in Diamond, and the one directly north of Coal City on Dresden Rd.
Braidwood and Dresden's system comprises of T-128s and T-135s of varying ages.

It looks just like a T128 what is the spotting difference between a T128 and a T135 AC/DC

The easiest way to tell is the size of the projector compared to the motor cover, as well as the incline of the horn being less than that of a T-128. If that doesn't help, let me know.

slenderman7676 Rblx inside the horn there are more slots than the t128 and the horn is smaller

No, the T-128 is smaller. Both the T-128 and T-135 AC/DC have the same number of slots.

The T-135 is Junk compared to the P-50 that was previously installed at this location. No comparison, the 135s sound terrible.

The old P-50's had a massive 50 horsepower motor, so it was not capable of battery backup. If a city had an entire system of old P-50's and the power went out, then the entire system would not work due to the fact that the sirens needed to be directly connected to power. It takes a massive amount of current to start the 50 HP motor, so therefore batteries would not work. You'd need a ton of them just to even start the motor, and even then the P-50 wouldn't run for long because pretty much all the power from those batteries would be drained. So that is why ASC introduced this new model. To allow for battery backup because the motor is smaller, so therefore batteries will work with it. What is better? Having sirens like the old model P-50 with no backup and risking lives in the event of a tornado? Or having sirens like the new model T-135 that can actually use battery backup and still save lives? Think twice before making such a retarded comment. The new T-135's are smaller yes, but they're still the loudest sirens in production. The new models are 133DB at 100 feet, compared to the old models witch were 135DB at 100 feet. 133 isn't THAT far off from 135, so I'd say these sirens are more economical, and much better then the old models. The new T-135's certainty are NOT junk, they're just different. Stop being stupid. If I was the mayor of a city, I'd much rather have sirens capable of battery backup as opposed to old sirens that were not able to use batteries in the event of a power outage.

128 sounds so much better. For example, the ones here in my town do alert. When the other ones shut off, the 128 at the fire station stays on a minute longer and does attack then the fire signal. It sounds beast in attack mode!

IloveChristmasAnd FireAlarms yea their good for small towns but in a big city I would prefer p-50’s close to the metro area but the outer part of the city I would throw in some t-128’s
