OUTSTANDING VIDEO, Tommy!!!! OMG, it's so REFRESHING to learn of other people who have the same funky interests I have!!! I've always had an interest in tornado sirens! I'm originally from Massachusetts where tornado sirens were unnecessary, but I whenever I heard the siren test every Wednesday at 1PM while visiting my maternal relatives in Minneapolis, my fascination and curiosity piqued. I remember when I caught my first sight of a tornado siren several years ago. The Minnesota State Fair had been going on at this time when all the food and treats at the Fair were being sold "on a stick." I was walking with a friend through Augsburg Park in Richfield, MN and came across this aqua-colored contraption perched on a tall post. I learned later it was an Allertor tornado siren, but at that time I didn't know what it was. I asked my friend who was walking with me what the aqua contraption was, and before she could answer, a little kid who sitting with his friends on a close-by bench and heard my question promptly answered it: "That's poopoo on a stick!!" I've referred to tornado sirens as "poopoo on a stick" ever since!!
I live in the Midwest and I hear the sirens more than I want to. Back in 2016 our County made history (Howard county, Kokomo Indiana) we had over 4 confirmed tornado touchdowns in our county!! One being a F3. The sirens started to boare so I went outside to look at the weather and the sky had that ominous green color to it, which I knew that we were in trouble. The weather started getting nasty. I took shelter and then all of the sudden it got dead silent!!! That's when the Tornado hit less than 2 miles from where I live. After that I went outside and the clouds were really weird and nothing I have ever seen in all of the years I have lived in Indiana which is about 50 years!!
The timbre of those three, four sirens, reminded me of the organ chords in the *_Silenced Cathedral._* That is a very dated and obscure reference, but for those who know the names *_Raziel and Kain,_* should also know the reference. ... That one siren as you were standing there getting petrol was a solid C#.

That is pretty freaky, but fascinating at the same time. How do you like that? A tornado in February. I live in Wheaton, but I've been down to Morris and Marseilles plenty of times recently with my uncle. Last I was out there was maybe a month after this. My Uncle and I were discussing on the ride out there all the storms these towns got on this day. A couple properties near the corner of N 30th Road and E 2575th Road on the outskirts of Marseilles, absolutely destroyed. There was some kind of a tall antenna tower right at that corner that was twisted up and fell on the road that day, from the pictures I saw. The farm across from that had the house torn apart, semi trailers completely overturned, and other bad, bad damage. Worst damage I've ever seen in person, and I'm sure Ottawa got hit ten times worse.
Eghghh...the sirens creep me out. Among the scariest sounds I've ever heard. We when had a tornado warning (almost crapped my pants) we had only a fire whistle, I probably would have cried if I actually heard a siren like that. Very unsettling.
Watching this as someone who has been through three different kinds of disasters but never a tornado (we don't have them). Interesting to see how other people handle it.
In 1996, I read that there had been tornadoes recorded in the U.S. every day of the calendar year except for January 16. That has changed; there have now been tornadoes every day of the calendar year.

I remember that day.. I was outside of Washburn, IL but didn’t know a tornado was touching down on the edge of town and I was in the path of it. So terrifying.
The sky looks wicked. I live in Minnesota. I've been in 3 Tornadoes. Thunder was loud. Sky was pea green. Silent. Calm before danger. And sounds like a train when close. I was lucky in one . Done nothing to the house. 🌪️🌪️🌪️
This is, by far, the best video of tornado sirens and tornadic storm I have seen! If you don't mind me asking, what type of device did you use to record this video as the quality is amazing!
It is like saying why do some people find spiders scary. It is a mind thing and well the mind is hard to understand. Tornado sirens don't typically sound creepy to me, the first one in this clip 100% sounds creepy scary to me and sends chill throughout my body. Ask me why, I don't have answer. If I did I wouldn't be creeped out out by it. :D
Hell nah boi I ain't sleeping those sound like the end time trumpets that's hella beautiful but really freaking scary welcome to the future my friend global warming more tornadoes ah what a nice day for a walk welcome to ALMOST FRUCKING 2025 already we got 10 months left bud getting ready for gta 6 be safe bro alah Akbar
No leaves on the trees, winter season. Headlights on, that time of year means probably the 5pm siren test. Both days, same time of day. Pretty easy to figure out.
Harry Potter Fan I live outside of Lancaster, Pa and we had a Warning. I was confused and thought iit was a watch and did nothing. 😑 Anyways, we thought, oh well nothing happened. Then someone posted a picture of a tornado touchdown about 5 miles from my house 🤤 I think we have them more often than the media tells us because there was not a word about it.
I'm originally from North Carolina but now live in Ohio. I can confirm that this is the blase attitude Midwestern people have about tornadoes. Last spring we had them go off here in Powell, and I freaked out because my apartment is on the second floor. I ran downstairs and beat on my neighbor's door, waking him from a deep sleep, and basically pushed into his apartment to hide. The poor guy was so confused. Nothing ultimately happened, but I didn't leave until the warning was over and the sirens were done. The next day, my friend confirmed that she had slept right through the sirens as well. Moral of the story? Ohioans are some damn deep-sleepers! Even the threat of death won't wake them up!
Sounds really creepy, in Germany we have sirens to warn firefighters of emergency calls, sound every once in a while, but we have also ways to alert population
That siren that went off is called a ASC T128 🙂ASC. Stands for American Signal Corporation and the t in t128 is pronounced Temptest 128. I know a lot about sirens so it’s cool 😎 the 128 means it’s the decibel rating so it 128 dB I mean I know that you are probably a siren guy too
I remember this storm bro , I was alone exploring an abandoned insane asylum hospital alone . I was so terrified . I left 10 minutes before this storm hit and thank god I didn’t get stuck while it was pouring rain I would have been trapped in the abandoned hospital ??? It was terrifying bro for me !!! Awesome video btw
first time I saw this video I though this was from 2015 😂 although now I was wrong, still feels nostalgic and that storm looks like a derecho for some reason (probably because of the constant lightning) nice video and hope you were ok!

0:02 ASC T-128 Siren sound
3:25 That american signal t128 seems to be saying *GO SOMEWHERE ELSE STORM YOU'RE DRUNK!!!!!!!*
xD
That is rude! Man!
This is, by far, the best video of tornado sirens and tornadic storm I have seen! If you don't mind me asking, what type of device did you use to record this video as the quality is amazing!
The chills from this us so words can't explain I love this video
why do people find the sound haunting? sounds very nice
It’s the sudden blows.
Wow, that's a nice S-10 @ 3:40 ... I have a metallic red one one. Thanks for posting.
I kept looking at McDonald's instead of the clouds lol felt hungry 😋
We went to McDonald’s to but not there
Those sirens sounds beautiful
Agreed but they also sound creepy
When it’s completely still like that, you know something bad is going to happen somewhere.
Tornado: "I'm gonna getcha!"
People: "Not before I get my quarter pounder and gas!"
What a tornado warning you might get blown away
Was it grundy Illinois? Cause I remember this tornado!
Jillian Niedziela Not quite sure it says Grundy county so maybe yes maybe no
Actually yeah it was Grundy, IL.
Imagine hearing that at 3 AM😰😱
Hell nah boi I ain't sleeping those sound like the end time trumpets that's hella beautiful but really freaking scary welcome to the future my friend global warming more tornadoes ah what a nice day for a walk welcome to ALMOST FRUCKING 2025 already we got 10 months left bud getting ready for gta 6 be safe bro alah Akbar
No leaves on the trees, winter season. Headlights on, that time of year means probably the 5pm siren test. Both days, same time of day. Pretty easy to figure out.
Man, this ambiance sounded exactly like the one in my city. Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma. 5/1/2019 there was a tornado warning.
omg good thing Pennsylvania don't get tornadoes that often
Amy Toothman I at least want to experience one!! But I dont want my town destroyed😂
Amy Toothman Hi 2 days ago I heard you guys had a tornado are you ok?
Amy Toothman oh really 4 days ago in Stroudsburg!

Ikr like we had a tornado like a month ago (I live in PA). But it actually didn’t touch down anywhere but there was a funnel cloud
I was in a tornado with a broken arm and I had the flu
Lps World ahhhh poor you glad your ok☺️☺️😉
abstract adjective that made me laugh omg
Lps World I had the flu strept throat and a broken leg during a tornado warning
Lps World omg I hope u r okay
Arkansas Razorbacks I was
Sounds really creepy, in Germany we have sirens to warn firefighters of emergency calls, sound every once in a while, but we have also ways to alert population
According to the NOAA damage assessment it was actually a high end EF-3 tornado with max winds of 155MPH!
That is the creepiest siren noise I ever heard...
This is a T-128
Yees
Is the Grundy County Auction ok? Because I was sold on the lady in the second row
TheJuicyGames yep there ok me to I also live where he lives like in the state

TheJuicyGames haha yas!
Exact comment I came here to see!
That's so cool that they spin around like that. They got rid of our military sirens in SoCal long ago. They used to do siren tests once a month.
Glad one of the trainspotting fam decided to take a tornado vid. Stay safe partner. With peace, from Britain
7:08 railroad crossing
You got the storm that hit us here it seems. Looks like as of now theres another coming at ya. What a way to end February LMAO
That siren that went off is called a ASC T128 🙂ASC. Stands for American Signal Corporation and the t in t128 is pronounced Temptest 128. I know a lot about sirens so it’s cool 😎 the 128 means it’s the decibel rating so it 128 dB I mean I know that you are probably a siren guy too
He knows, trust me.
Wow, broke my brain.
