I was Class of '77 and Into all sorts of music, especially Rock-n-Roll... So why have I not heard of these lady pioneers of rock until just recently..?! I feel cheated...
I’m happy they’ve made a comeback. Now in this times Fanny is needed and this song heals the world. Once again rock n roll will change the world. I was a young kid when I first heard them and a year later they split up. But now I can recall and celebrate them again not by living in the past but living in the present to enjoy their music again and into bringing it in the future. That what being a rocker and metal head is about.
Fanny was one of the first all female rock groups. 68-73. Now the Middleton sisters on strings are back with Brie Walker on drums and they are Fanny Walks The Earth. Live long and well, ladies.
How many bands were incredible 40 years ago and can still be great today? 1. Fanny. I’m of the age, 62, to have known them when they started but somehow I missed them then. I’m a huge fan now. Jean and June are still awesome artists. Nicky and Alice - absolutely killer, best keyboard and drums I’ve heard.
This song is great. Just like the women of the world. Every woman deserves the greatest kindness and dignity. Even as humans continue to evolve, women must continue to be proud.
I love these lady rockers, just discovered them a while ago and I have been playing their stuff non stop. It's great that they put out a new album last year. I am Canadian and lived in the Philippines for a year, married my wife there. I learnt that Filipinos are not only awesome people but many are very talented, June and Jean are no exception and Brie rocks too.
@@briedarlingmusic8426 You are welcome Brie but I need to be the one thanking you for recording music that is a pleasure to listen too. I am getting a little long in the tooth and much of what I hear being played today by modern recording artist (I use that term loosely) is music that I cannot relate too, listening to Fanny Walked the Earth takes me to a happy place, especially when I play your music at work which makes my day go such much better. I love you guys, thanks for making real music in the 21st century, a time when there is way too much noise.
I met Brie and her brother Philipp when I was 11 years years old (so was Philipp and Brie was 9 or just turning 10) in Folsom, California, where we lived. Phil and I got together this past summer in Idaho and jammed with his band. So much fun!
I've become a big Fanny fan, part of the Fanny Pack, oh that was bad, sorry, but still what great players, all of them brought so much talent to the table, love the vintage footage of them playing live. The sisters are a great team, and I just love that slide guitar, what a talent. You say to someone now, ever heard of Fanny? and they just look at you like WTF are you talking about, it's a shame they didn't get to the level of success they paved the road for others to drive on, but those that do know are appreciative of what they accomplished and best of all, the music and the live clips live on as testimony to their supreme creativity and talent. There's also no doubt that they should be members of the rock and roll HOF, and I hope somewhere someone with influence is championing them for that honor. GO FANNY!
Brought me to tears. They were amazing when I was in college in the 70's and their message is essential now! Rock on, ladies - there are men who proudly stand with you!
Love Fanny ! They are such talented, beautiful ladies and boy do they still have it ! June can still play that guitar so damn well and I love her hair ! Don’t ever change ladies, Jean, you’re stunning ! Beautiful ladies !
Don’t know how I missed these ladies, either!!!!!!! BTW, I was searching for an old roommate from ‘71, can’t remember her last name but her name was Elaine aka Fanny. That’s how I found these great ladies!!!!! Still awesome!!!!!
New fan ...... damn, i hate that i missed these ladies....... just ordered everything they have recorded to catch up. I LOVE YOU ALL FANNY --- you kick ass!!
Gives me actual chills. Should be The National Anthem for at least the next two years. I’d stand for sure. You came up with your best song this far into your career… So well done ladies. Congratulations!
Always makes me tear up! Hoping to cover this with our "seasoned ladys" chick band with FULL credit to Fanny for giving all of us THE RIGHT to rock out.
Yes and Alice sang backup vocals on the song, as did other fab women including The Runaways' Cherie Currie, Genya Ravan of Goldie and the Gingerbreads, and members of The Go Go's and The Bangles as well! I am honoured to be filming a feature documentary with these wonderful women, celebrating Fanny and its groundbreaking legacy to rock & roll. Stay tuned!
yeah! I was just looking into this new Fanny-ish album as I just heard about it and I see someone who looks an awful lot like Alice doing backing vocals and had to check. I met her once after a book tour date she did and she was very sweet and I think keyed in that I was a fanboy and she kissed me on the cheek leaving big red lip prints, very thrilling stuff haha.
Just discovered this fabulous music on tv. Such talented, beautiful ladies. Love the music & energy. Will be getting the new album & love the 70s vibe. Fabulous! 🙂
@ 60 yrs. Young , I'm ashamed 2 say... (never mind) Anyways..... KikAss Stuff there Ladies... Went 2 Spotify, and grabbed all there was... ♡♡♡ How Refreshing izz This , 2day !!!
These guys ROCK , most bands split after a few years , like the Beatles , Super Tramp , Pink Floyd the list goes on but THESE girls are still together are tight talented musicians and remain friends since the 70's , RESPECT ! ;D
Bless you lovely Women ! I just saw you on tv and i was blown away ! How Amazing are you !!! Just bought your new cd and i can't wait to spread the word ! 💜💜💜
I'm taking this new Fanny material and it's relatively low numbers of youtube views as more evidence that the music industry(/google/(corporate world generally) is dumb... even dumber than it was in the 70's. I think there's a much bigger audience for these new songs... very timely material. I guess Fanny still don't fit the narrative those people are trying to sell, as wise rocking grandmas any more than they did as strong, talented young women rockers back then... oh well... their loss. Glad you're getting out there again. somebody mentioned Rodriguez in the comments... you should totally tour South Africa with Sugar Man!
To the members of Fanny. There is an old picture from 1970 on Daze With Jordan The Lion on his TH-cam channel of a huge billboard of Fanny's first album on Sunset Blvd. You can see it at approx 2:35 to 2:45 on his recent installment concerning Vicky Hamilton and the Sunset Strip.
Some great ladies adding vocals as well....the Bangles, Cherie, just such an awesome flow and drive to this song. Always loved Fanny......glad that you ladies are still rocking. HELL YEAH!
I only discovered you ladies a few months ago when I first heard "Blind Alley" from decades ago. You girls are awesome. Saying a big hello from Australia 👏👍😀
I somehow missed Fanny in the 70's, and discovered them only recently. Wow, are they talented and great rockers! I'm so glad for them them are belatedly finally getting the recognition they deserve.
A novelty act is what most assumed the band was...until one would see them live, perception changed quickly! While this is not the original line-up in the late 60's early 70's, missing is Nicky & Alice. I do believe Brie had left near or around or before the 1st album was released. This re-union music is fantastic, the early 70's stuff is a bit more what I listen to...the harder edge material, classic rock stuff & I believe that's what it was then, truly ahead of their time. I love unique life stories and they truly have told a great one, pioneering women hard rock bands into a male dominated world. I learned from the best, my parents shared roles, my Mom (both parents) worked in a factory and my Father did dishes!!! lol
They sound great! Some voices get strained after so many years, but these are strong vocals and a solid message. And how about some love for these strong Ates!
WOW..re-release this album.. you're vocals are so crisp and clear..great music ladies.. who's here in May 2023 listening to this great rock band!
This song moves me to tears. Such an awesome tribute to women all over the planet.
So true. I've listened to this dozens of times. So Powerful!
Amen!
the planet needs more of this light.
I was Class of '77 and Into all sorts of music, especially Rock-n-Roll...

Happens over and over again. Enjoy. :)

I'm telling you , these ladies were second to none. Incredible musicians and singers.
Totally love this album. Such joy to see them back and so tight. Never ever stop!

This song is great.
Just like the women of the world.

Wow - they were great in the 70's - smokin hot today - I gotta thank the algorithm for this revelation
Just beautiful ladies. Thank you for giving us the gift that is Fanny!❤
One of my favorite tunes from one of my favorite albums. My daughter loves June and Fanny . She's 9.teach your children well
I think Fanny's sound and the times have harmoniously come together. I would expect a popularity surge.
Love the ladies back in the day. Still love the ladies!
Ditto brother! They KILLED IT in the 70's.
Great in the early 70's and great now, it seems!
They've still got it for sure , putting the younger generation to shame , great song , great musicianship , awesome.

Brie is Filapina-American as well.

I just "discovered" the magic of Fanny so I'm glad to see they're still as strong as ever in this new life. Incredible stuff.

Cool. Still great. I proudly own the debut vinyl. I didn't realize Alice Bag was in the video.
